Saw her perform in the 1990’s. She had the most phenomenally powerful vocal I had ever heard in any concert. I was stunned. I knew she had a great voice, but hearing it live. There are no words. It shook the stadium.
Pat's voice weaved a mystical spell in the 80s and still does today. No star flies as high as she does. I will always be captivated by her vocal skills. Absolutely no one can compare to her. Definitely deserves to be in the rock hall of fame.
Actually I respect bands that aren't in that hall of fame. If you get nominated, you should refuse it. Most of the people that run it, and vote in it, are anti- rock, neo-liberal, millennial, dweeb, teeny-boppers.
Pat Benatar was a little fox back in that era! One of my favorite voices of all-time as well. Saw her live in Pittsburgh but not until 1999 and 2001. Great shows.
You couldn’t turn on the radio in the early 80’s without hearing Pat Benatar. Good memories…and nice to see this US Festival set. I went to US 83, missed out on 82.
Nobody else can belt the vocal part's like pat AND her guitar player has such a great sign original sound AND fabulous riffs solos not no guitar player I've played with can do his stuff right 😮love them all miss pat is STILL the best 😅!!¡!!!!!
Well me an bertha made it there barely,i had an ol souped up 50 chevy that kept over heating on the way,so we jus got there in time,it was a helluva day an night too,we got a motel an bertha really rocked it good all night long,i think she enjoyed the whole day, well? It went from over heating to over eating so about 5 years later lil bertha had gotten big as a house an i had to send her on her way,idk what happened to her,but i bet she still has fond memories of this day an night as i do THANK YOU SO MUCH PAT BENETAR AN BAND!! An thx for posting this as well!!
Yes Indeed 💯 & Believe it ir Not, She's Probably Not even at 100%. Well. She took I believe, 6 Years of Operatic Singing Lessons & Both of Her Parents Were Music Teachers, Like Hiw could she Not go into Music Right🎶🎵💙💗🙌😁👏
Mrs. Benatar has that, "I'm going to kick your ass" attitude. I think that is worthy of respect. Just look at this performance! If you don't see that, you're blind!
I was lucky to attend the small club warmup for this gig Sept 1, 1982 at the Country Club in Reseda, CA The band was working on most of these songs crafting the set list performed at the US Festival. Great band. Pat Benatar is a compact powerhouse, force of nature.
Saw them on tour around this time and they put on a helleva show. No giant video screens, no elaborate light show just great down and dirty ROCK & ROLL!
She definitely sees him that way. I never have. Always felt like he was trying to hard to grab spotlight from her all too frequently. I heard it's the main reason she wasn't in the ROH sooner - she wanted him to be included with her.
@@pandapeep1148hat's the ROH? I don't think he ever tried to steal the spotlight from her - she's always at center stage and literally in the spotlight, not Neil. He wrote all of the songs with her, he lead the band and played kick-ass guitar, all in service of her and her career, so he totally deserved whatever fraction of the spotlight he got.
the guitar on precious time, is incredible. great solo too.......And Pat is just sensational, especially on fire and ice, and promises in the dark....true talent on display right here folks, and that drummer must have been inspired by Animal from the Muppets...
Great concert! My teenage years' rock'n'roll queen, well... what am I saying...? rock'n'roll goddess! I just learned a year ago or so that she was from Irish ascendancy and then I understood why I've always found her absolutely gorgeous... :) And such a f***ing powerful voice!! Go Pat, never die!
Thank you for putting this up! Pat Benatar is my favorite rock vocalist. Not just female vocalist, but my favorite vocalist, period! She sings with so much passion ,conviction , and technical precision. Powerful stage presence and the lyrics are thoughtful, vivid, and powerful as well . ❤
2024... now I. Kinda remember being there!!! So many. Years ago!! Hot desert my. California !! Love her then. Still do...simply. the best. Of the rest❤❤❤❤
I was 20 in 1980 and I had been listening to Pat for years, she had some great songs and her voice was so powerful, usually rock lead singers were almost all guys but she was great.
Giving it everything they got and looking good doing it absolutely outstanding also it was a Southern California live KLOS radio simulcast going on during all these shows at the US Festival outstanding work
I'm 60 I've been listening to since I was 16 and I'm still listening and watching.
With you
Pat has some awesome songs and plus she is HOT as hell.❤
Pat had such an amazing rock voice and those musicians she had with her... completly amazing show!
Myron Grombacher is maybe the most underrated drummer of the 80’s. I love watching him perform, he’s incredible.
i'm no drumming expert or anything; but i always enjoyed myron and steve smith - both great guys too.
I think he's a great drummer, too, so please believe that I'm only gently teasing when I say he reminds me of Animal, the drummer from the Muppets.
There is no one that deserve it more than Pat Benatar to be in the rock n roll hall of Fame.
rock n roll hall of Fame is a joke
Yes it's a rip off she should be in the hall of Fame the band too man
Yes I agree, and its helps to sell an artists cataloge. But don't you wish someone would just say go to hell RRHOF?
@@stephengriffith-rv9cm uhmmm She is now.
One of the best female rock vocalists of all time.

I'm still mesmerized by Pat's rocker voice, looks and moves. She was playing in the background for some major partying in my era :)
I was there. They were Great. That whole day was incredible. Pat & Neil are z a very talented! Raw!!

Pat is an amazing singer and performer, as well as being a classy lady!

Actually, they're mainly 50+.😊
Ann Wilson is the greatest female rock singer ever, but Pat is close.
@@dmitryowens Love em both. However Tarja Turunin is the best.
I have loved Pat since that first album, but you hear her live and realize how incredible this band was as well.
