Tq sir for showing this Idea... most upgrade on youtube is to change metal shock but in my place there is competion that need to use this stock shock for race... its call TTo2 GT stock race...
13:20 Awesome idea! Take note you have to rotate the stock TT02 damper the right way to lock them. If you hold them like that the top of your right hand should twist toward you, not away.
@@cndhobbies5220 Okay that makes sense. But like I said previously, you are twisting them in the opposite direction to what they should be twisted to lock them. Unless yours and mine and the manual is different.
This is a really clever idea. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. The shocks had nice damping in the hand or when bounce testing on the bench. However, when I took it out to the asphalt it bounced and slid all over the place like it didn't have any suspension at all. I think it was binding for small bumps and only compressing for big bumps. I'd recommend either leaving the shocks alone or getting some $20 oil filled ones.
That would be in your classes discretion at your track. But if its to be box stock where only things in the box can be used, if you take the rubber tubing that comes on the end of the motor, and cut them down to 4 equal lengths and used in the upper end of the shock insert, then it "should" be allowed as it all came in the box :)
Super trick!!! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!!!

Sir, you are a genius. Thanks a lot.
Fantastic idea! I just cut some power cables to the size and it did a similar job.
This is actually awesome!!!

The shocks can only twist one way, there is a built in stop that prevents turning one direction or the other
@@cndhobbies5220 Yes, so if you need pliers to twist them you are turning the wrong direction.
@@megatesla I need the piers to twist them on cause its more difficult to put together when the insert and tubing inside the shock

Thanks for sharing. Really great!
nice DIY mod. makes the stock shocks usable again.

maybe try this without the plastic incert. you made it too stiff.
Great idea but guessing that the doesn't bounce so much with the battery and electronics installed.
It dampens quite well when the weight of the electronics are in. Cheap/free option for the kit
Great tips
Thanks you !!! It's Amazing.
J'ai essayé cela est c'est une super astuce ! Merci beaucoup, thanks you !!!
Danke für das Video
Nice mod 👌
Good idea! Should be the factory way!
This is amazing, it won't break anything at all?
Nothing is broken from doing this, works amazing on a black crc carpet track
Would this mod be permitted in Euro Truck racing?

@@cndhobbies5220 thanks for the feedback. That’s a good idea about motor tube, cheers.
Why does something so simple, need to take up 17 minutes of my valuable time.
Then don't watch...
Interesting. Might just shove a hot glue stick in it to see how thst works 🤷♂️
It's a thought! Shouldn't hurt anything to test
I wonder what kind of glue sticks will be needed.
