There's a subtext at play here, the old broncos are only so loved because people bought them and did stuff with them. It's the memories that ppl have that make classics "unbeatable". The thing is, nostalgia doesnt transfer across generations too well and thats the real point of conversation here. How strong is your nostalgia and can it make you ignore things like " it's all over the road" and "these were not meant for the highway". If we're being honest that really means the truck isnt a good vehicle,, it's a good tool, which is fine. People who are going out and buying a car to get stuff done today want it to be flexible, with as little trade-off as possible. I grew up with the old Bronco but i'm for the new one all day.
love the look of the classic but to live with every day? Hard to beat the new one. Honestly one of the things I love most about my Focus ST is the heated steering wheel. Lol.
At least old school will always be more dependable, less reliable on electronic parts that when they stop working can be a detriment when miles away from town and long waiting periods for parts.
I love both! For different reasons as you were saying. You would have to really build and old one to have the same capabilities of the new one. Technology, comfort and just being able to buy one capable of off-roading off the lot makes the new one a step ahead. If you love building your own your way, go with the old one. Ford has tons of factory accessories for the new one to make it unique.
Ford nailed it overall with the exception of not being able to fit their 302 V8 in the engine compartment , especially since the smaller Jeep has the 392 engine as an option.
After working for Ford in seeing the new Broncos come out bigger fan of the old not the new ones because you cannot get a V8 in the new ones at all that's what I don't like about the new ones little 4-cylinder ones EcoBoost it's okay but nothing like a V8 motor in the way it sounds that's why you need a new one if they made a new one with a coyote V8 then they would have a pretty Bronco that would be okay if they did that
for comfort and hitting the trails , the new for sure. But in terms of working on it. There's way too much techno crap on any of the new things. All the EPA nonsense that causes issues down the road. Wrenching I'll take an old school any day. pretty general set of DIY tools you can do just about anything.
Hear me out, the old one has one advantage because it doesn’t have a computer very little electronics mechanical fuel pumps i say the old one is better in wet environments but the new one will feel better and will be more capable in dry environments it can just get water damaged like an iPhone if any important electronics get exposed to the elements.
See i dont like all the new technology. Im a simple guy. Their is no point too all that new extra shit. Their really isnt except too waste resources for accomidations for fancey people. So im all for the old one my self. A vehicle was built too transport you and work. That old branco does that but with style and v8 sound. Plenty of what is needed for driving.
I owned a JK Rubicon the absolute best Jeep had to offer. The new Bronco is lightyears ahead of any of the Jeeps that are made. Every single thing I HATED about he JK the Bronco corrected and advanced beyond it. That JK was my first and last Fiat product I will ever buy.
The new Bronco is so far ahead of the jeeps it is ridiculous. The only good Jeep is one that you have to build to really go off road. The new jeep engines have issues and still old tech that has not been updated for years.
Both are awesome! Especially the new Bronco!

I like the old look a little better, especially the front.
Classic. I am in the early process of restoring a 73.
Old school every time

New Bronco has a PRESENCE on the road
Since the new ones are $50k I’ll just take a perfectly restored classic for the same money that won’t lose value.
I love both

Old all day but it good ford brought it back
Project Betty video please :(
I would have to pick the one that i could fit in.
That would be the old one
I had a 4 door badlands ordered and didn't buy it because my shoulder hit the b pillar when I adjusted the seat, steering wheel, and pedals for me.
And I'm only 6 foot but definitely not thin
Old

To me ford messed up on the 2021 by not offering a v8
Wish their was a V8 option...
Old like my 72
Old for me, new is trying too hard to be a Jeep.
