Thanks for the test! I thought you made the Meike look good. It was telling though when side by side with the Cooke, how the guy's face looked thinner and more dimensional on the Cooke. It's that depth rendering that matters most to me about a lens.
The Brand is pronounced "MAY-KAY"! And in "real life", our eyes don't create Bokeh. I've heard this expression before...it doesn't apply. True Cinema imagery does have a smoother falloff, with the intent to focus the viewers to a particular part of the scene. And yes the entire line of Meike Lenses, including their MFT versions represent the very best value when it comes to dollar to image quality, hands down.
Since the 6K is a super35 camera, I wonder if you would've had the same chromatic aberration issues with the super 35 lens, since the light intended to be projected would be designed for the smaller sensor. I also wonder if you might not be getting the full transmission of light that the T2.1 is supposed to give since it's for a full frame camera.
Quite likely - cine lenses are really designed for the sensor, so they tend to not be as sharp and CA becomes more obvious if you put FF on S35 because it's basically cropping a portion of the image. Thus CA is larger, and images tend to be softer. DSLR lenses generally don't have this issue because they're designed to resolve much higher resolutions out of the box.
Hey man would you say that the s35 meikes and the ff have similar characteristics? I'm trying to decide between the Meike and DZOfilm primes but all the comparison videos are of the FF Meikes vs the DZO but I'm trying to compare the DZOfilm primes to the Meike s35 primes because the only reason I am considering the Meike s35 primes is because of how much cheaper they are...
How are you liking this lens a year plus later? I use the 6k with the Sigma Art. Seriously considering selling to go with the Meike 4 lens kit. 1300 for 4 lenses with a case? I'll bite!
Hello Meike Global, I have a lens question; Meike 25mm vs Meike 16mm: If I plan to shoot shorts, features, etc. which of the two lens(meike 16mm or meike 25mm) would you recommend(if only one is the option) if I plan to shoot the entire film(s) with only one, and why?
This was a great video. I already watched it in Spenser's channel and I asked a question, but I didn't get any answer. Question; I have the bmpcc 6k Pro, so how about if, instead of purchasing this one, which is a full frame lens, i buy the S35, would that work OK??? Thanks you!
I mean...rehousing is an art. 4000 to rehouse one lens is cheap. I get it, to most people it isn't, but don't belittle the process @Spenser Sakurai 4000 is a bargain. Rehousing a set is usually over 30k easy, but with FD it is then worth over 100k!

Tbf very few optics are gonna compete with Cooke S4s on that front, it's what they're known for. If only they weren't so bloody expensive.
Big thumbs up👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Excellent Spencer I love your work
great video .. but i just like to watch this lens footage in 4k ;-) anyway I like it
6K footage to 1080 upload 🤔
Wooooo these look so nice! 😍😍😍 gonna have to try these
Really helpful video. I learned a lot. Thank you!
Thank you for watching.
is there any test footage about Using Meike 35mm FF cine lens on GH5. How good is this combo? Can you please throw some insight.... Thanks
would be great if you did a comparison with slr magic lens and meike lens

Oui c'est pas mal comme 0
Oui c'est
Our eyes do create bokeh but it's very smooth and looks like it's around f2.8

does it recommended to use full frame lenses on super 35 sensor?
X2
No it's recommended to use lenses designed for the sensor.
Not sure when this new cine line up lens would available in India 🧐
Sorry for the inconvenience, once the logistics resumes, it will be available to ship to India, keep health.
@@MeikeGlobal I like your lenses, make me a gift please, 35 mm for full frame Sony, can't get them in Russia
Hey Gagan, Will they cost the same as opposed to buying them at Singapore or Canada

Hi guys, please don't upload videos in 1080p, we can't really appreciate the videos in that quality, next time upload It in 4K please.

That will work because the pocket is a s35 sensor
@@c41cinema74 exactly what I thought! Thanks 🙏
@@c41cinema74 The FOV will be exactly the same as well, correct? s35 vs FF on P6K
the video not for zoom likes photos.
but bmpcc not the full frame, right?
So would this fit on a Canon EF speed booster?
