  • Pushing the limits of a Super Clod Buster with a hand built, top of the line racing chassis from the UKMosters.co.uk. It doesn't get much better than this.
    In this detailed build video, I recondition and modify the axels before fitting them to the Race 2.0 Clod Shop chassis.
    The chassis was purchased from the Clod Shop. The shocks have been gifted to RCKicks from The Clod Shop and the body was purchased from Schumacher Racing.

    Awesome build man can't wait to see it run just a heads up about the torque tuned motors make sure they're at zero timing or they have adjustable timing because you'll have to put one motor at negative timing because it has to run in reverse. can't wait to see that chassis and how it performs big tamiya clod buster fanboy here. Cheers from Ky in the states.If I can make a suggestion the reedy 17 turn 3 slot motors have adjustable timing and our preset at 0 so you can run them in forward and reverse

    I'd love to build one, but as a tinkerer in the hobby I was relegated to a few of their parts - on axle steering and suspension tweaks. Made for a nice Clod though :)

    Get a Dremel. You won’t regret it. I am surprised how often mine comes out when fixing, modding, and building. I even bought the Dremel drill press to go with it. Use that all the time too. But before I had these essential tools, I always wondered if they were worth the money… I thought I was getting along fine without them. I was wrong, very wrong. LOL

  • @RCJunky

    Easy quick fix for suspension. Put some fuel tube on the shaft

  • @shaunbitz3569
    @shaunbitz3569 Год назад

    I believe the reason why you have so much extra suspension travel is for flexing.
    The aftermarket clod chassis were based on rock crawling which requires tons of flexibility so I’m sure they just added the longer shocks which you should be able to limit with just some fuel tubing.

  • @simonbodill
    @simonbodill Год назад

    Looks fantastic Gavin so what shocks are you running on it I sent mine across a field behind my house on two silver cans and the 880 HW esc on 3s goes like a rocket so running some better motors it will be crazy quick and it handles amazing.
    These chassis kits are well worth the investment as it turns what is quite a laid back 4x4 Tamiya into a monster 👹 lol. Looking forward to the next clip 😊

    I love Clod Busters. I still have mine from when I was a kid. I did upgrade it to a ClodZ-Zilla III chassis and I have plans to rebuild it and get it running. Question, what are you going to do for gears? Those 17 turn motors are going to do some work on them. I use to run the Trinity Jade motors (15 turn Quad wind) motors and I use to rip through gears often.

    Great video. I'm 44 and have always wanted a Clod Buster since I was 10. I was actually thinking of getting a kit. But this looks amazing. I just have a question it looks like you only use a few axle pieces from the whole kit. Instead of buying the Tamiya Clod kit can I just buy a whole kit from this website? It just seems like a waste to buy Tamiya Clod kit and then another $1000.00 in upgrades. Please help thank you
