Thank you so much JConcepts for creating the Regulator chassis kit. As a loyal Clod Buster owner and fan since the kit was first released by Tamiya in 1987, I have seen just about every single aftermarket chassis kit for it since the days of the ESP Clodzilla series and the Bennett Equipment Clod a Lever. It is fantastic that instead of going for the multi-link, super modified style Clod Buster chassis, you have instead gone in a totally different direction and created a retro style truck kit. I still have my old ESP Clodzilla IV truck, which I love and enjoy driving, but I am seriously considering getting a Regulator kit and creating a new retro style Clod Buster. It will be great to have another option in my monster truck fleet. The TNT/USHRA era of monster trucks is what I grew up watching and loved so much as a kid. Thank you again JConcepts for breathing new life into the Clod Buster for all of us die-hard fans!
the behind the axle steering is a good thing. Any kind of bumper mounted servo set up lends itself to axle bending. most bumper style mounts are mounted to the main gear case much like stock bumper. if you slam into something it will bend the small male extension at the end of the axles inside the gear box. back in the day with Bennett colodalever set up and 4 links if you hit an object you would bend axles. ya it seems oh I am protecting the case. well you actually bend axles way easier.
I’m in the market for a good chassis conversion and I’m glad to see this as an option. A little more expensive than comparable kits on the market... I would love to see a build video or more of the chassis before going with one of the other.
Looking good guys, Hope to see more new produces coming soon. Love that 51' ford panel 1/10 scale truck body. Would love to see a 1/8 scale size & limiter straps for suspension use on M.T's thanks.
Which associated shocks did you go with? I can’t find a center to center measurement anywhere! I love the chassis btw! Just waiting on the steering kit and figuring out which shocks!
Is there any point in buying a Clod kit when you can essentially build one from scratch? Also, that is how a retro Bigfoot monster truck kit should look. Well done!
Looks great. I think I'm ready to build a monster truck. I really want one.. I'm still deciding do I go retro with the clod-buster or a modern smt10....
We've been using AE 1.6 or 1.7 pistons with 30wt and the softest AE spring that is made for the rear of the buggy. We've also ran some Traxxas white progression dual rate springs.
Why shouldn't you be able to put rear steer on it?! The shocks are from Team Associated, they're 103mm long(sorry, I do not speak the primitive inch-ish language😛)
I just wasn’t sure if it was designed only for the rear lockout or if the BTA steering worked in the back as well. But have since figured out that it does work. And yes thanks for the shock info.

Just got mine in. Really looking forward to getting the build done.
I'm sure it's good! JConcepts reputation is solid. If this doesn't cost more than the TRUCK, I'd definitely consider it...
+1 on the ladder bars. I didn't hear them mentioned in the video, but I see them on the truck
Im very happy there is a great conversion kit for my Clodbuster. Thank you for coming out with the kit.
Now if only i could find a clodbuster in stock somewhere!
I’ve been watching solid axle vids for a while now. I’d like to get into it and I think this is the place I’d like to start. Nice work guys.
Omg I always wanted Clod Buster! I started out with Midnight Pumpkin. Damn I loved that truck!
They re released it .. Go get one....Make that dream come true!!!!!

Looks like a great chassis guys!!!!!! I may have to get a Clod now and build one up, have to see what the budget allows!! Keep up the great work!!
Kyosho Nitro or Lipo "Madcrusher" better kit, better price and awsome Retro :) ruclips.net/video/dTHlMYf7uTc/видео.html
Nice chassis and steering setup. Just started building a truck a couple of days ago and couldn't find a steering setup that I liked.
Very nice. Makes me want to build a monster truck.

I have an on axle (cpe) servo mount I like quite a bit. Will I run into any issues with clearance?
Great work
Definitely need to get a couple or a few of these.

Good Stuff J-Ro and Fred 💪🏾💯🚀🔥
Its Christmas in July. 😊😊❤❤❤
should have spent more time showing the product and it mounted on the clod..
Yes
Check out @jconceptsgarage for a how-to video on the build.
Sure would have loved to see the chassis more in this video.....
I never knew Manny Patinkin likes rc trucks
What ladder bars are on that truck?
I have the same question
Does it work with the Bullhead body? Or do I have to do adjustments?
Can you use a 4 lo
Iink setup with this chassis?
Will the body posts on this chassis fit the stock clod body holes?
Where can I get the regularered chassis for clod buster truck
Super cool Ou on peut ce procurer ce kit
What is the hobbywing esc?
What tires are these?

What shock spring and oil weight do you guys recommend after all these years. ?

@@JConceptsLive thank you. I appreciate the response
I want these shocks what are they?
Also can I put rear steer in with this chassis?

Cool bit of kit! When are Tributes going to be back in stock?
Also, Fred isn't a long lost Baldwin brother is he?
What kind of truck is over jasons shoulder on that back table?
smt 10 axial conversion race truck
how much are these chasis
TAKE MY MONEY NOW!!!!!
Will stock clod steering work with this chassis
No it wont.
And why should anyone want to use the crappy original steering?
What’s the difference between a Pro Mod Clod chassis and a Retro Clod chassis like this?
Are you really asking that silly question?
It's so obvious
@@adtjtjdjsj are you really such an ass or just online?
Are you going to be selling this in the UK
No,they don't.
You have to import it..
what shocks are used ? length ? and so on ?
What body mounts fit directly? Want to add a taller rear body. Thank you
Do you sell this bigfoot body painted?
No
It's a RIP off to much money $240 dollars get real
Way to expensive...
Actually, it’s not. For what you get in the kit, and the quality, it’s unmatched.
$238 don’t think it’s worth it as this also requires you to purchase additional parts like the steering servo mount :(
