JConcepts Regulator Retro Build Using Tamiya Clod Buster Axles

- The JConcepts Regulator competition Stage 2 retro monster truck build is done! It took me a while to get caught up on all the projects I came home to this summer....that and an upcoming race that I didn't know I was going to be able to attend. I'm preparing to head to the RCMTCNY World Finals in Enfield, CT at RC Madness. RCMTCNY is the Radio Control Monster Truck Challenge New York. Because of my time constraints...and because JConcepts has such a great how to video for the chassis and the steering kit, I am just going to link you to those instead of do it in my video. Mine more shows what I used and how it came together.
I used the stock wheels and tires from the clod buster for now, but would like some JConcepts Tributes with Goldyear tires because they look great with this Bigfoot 10 body.
Hope you enjoy it. I really like how it handles.

It's light if you don't put the weight in. :) Such a clean build though and lightyears better than the stock tub in my opinion
@@CCxRC Yea the weight is low not high up in the top like the stock chassis👍 it just looks nice also, Know what would have been cool is if they made two more holes on the sides for the suspension ball studs to have a bit longer wheelbase option also.

Great video just built my first clod that's going to be the first upgrade anyway I could get some information on the Michigan ice monster that was in the background
I just findhed my clod with home made sassy chassie. Duule 3100 kv brushless motors. Dule 60amp hobbie wing esc. Each motor runing on 3s. Lipo. Single recver. With y harnse for esc. With 3.8 proline truchers. Tires. And wheels integey piggy back shocks

I put that same body on my HPI savage. I know it's a 1/10th scale body but it looks good on the 1/8th sacke savage. Plus it looks exactly like my 1989 F150, minus the Super Cab mine has.

Yes. They were the clod buster wheels from the kit and I spray painted them white. Don’t know what shocks these are. They came free with another truck.

just water
Did you use that venom shorty pack battery in the truck?
Yes. For this video I did. I got some Spektrum Smart shorty pack High Voltage 2S batteries I now run in it.

What kind of wheels are those ?
The clod Buster wheels that came with it. Just painted the wheels white.

Eh, what a waste of a brand new stock clod. Might as well just buy the things you need separate ala cart from eBay or clod fan sources.
The sale I got it for was cheaper than buying the axles, links, and other parts I needed.
