Tip: for a better and more authentic taste you should add radiation
You are joking, but there is some radioactive material in american toothpaste. So you COULD add some toothpaste to it to make it more authentic (or just add the radioactive juices)
I think you're talking about potassium? That's probably what's in the toothpaste it's also in bananas, apparently if you eat 600 one sitting something bananas you would die of radiation poisoning from the potassium, but it would take a couple days for the radiation to soak in, if you eat 600 bananas you have more problems than radiation though lol.
You would have to add SO much toothpaste. Like.... a couple dozen pounds, to make it actually radioactive
@@TieflingInAJar so?
Actually...
"My teeth were starting to corrode"
Y'know, for something called "Nuca-cola Quantum", I think that's the intended effect.
The reason quantum is blue is because they use a radioactive isotope to make it glow so I'm not surprised
@@garyslayton8340 Would be interesting to taste Nukashine too, just without last part of recipe.

This is the exact reason i sided with the nuka world raideds
God damn it Preston get out of here
Priceless XD
Lmao!
Dammit Preston I’m playing New Vegas!
For Nuka Quartz there is a terminal entry about product testing for Nuka Quartz, most of the complaints are about how its way to sweet and where one persons teeth start to feel weird after drinking it
Lore accurate! I love it 😆
THat's the funny thing, THe companies in Fallout are kinda fucked up. Nuka Cola just keeps testing new concepts. Some are bound to be questionable.
@@TheZamaronLike when the Nuka Cola Corporation agreed to use the chemical composition of Nuka Cola Quantum soda to add explosive power for the ammunition of the US army.
Serious thought, what if the Nuka Cola Corp had enough time to Quantumafy nuclear warheads. Then the Chinese would have stolen the schematics, then not only do two rival nations have hot warheads but amplified ones.
The destruction of Quantum Nuclear Warheads would have brought against Earth is imaginable, Earth would be a blue wasteland.
@@TheZamaron didn't they make like
a coffee soda at some point? "Nuka Dark" or something
idk I just *vaguely* remember seeing it in a Nuka Land video
@@rydergolde3169 That would be the Nuka Black, originally Nuka Boost. The Nuka Dark *does* exist, but its rum, not coffee.

"The more I drink it though, the more I notice the aftertaste. Kinda like cough medicine..."
_I guess that explains why drinking a bottle of diabetic tritium water is somehow able to heal your crippled limbs the Fallout universe_
Lol it all makes sense!
lmao
Nice nod to the drink effect in game 🍾
Isn’t that how soda was created?
BUT WAIT, does that mean, ANIMALS IN THIS GAME ARE MADE OF COUGH SYRUP?
fun fact: Cherry Nuka Cola actually flopped because of the same issues you talked about, instead they mixed an independent cherry soda's recipe with nuka cola, and got Nuka Cherry. Which is what you liked more.
Ahh that's interesting! Makes a lot of sense
That actually makes me respect the cookbook more, this and the Skyrim cookbook have some cool recipes in them (I've made Vilod's juniper mead a few times) but they do feel a bit gimmicky sometimes

For those of you looking to make the "Lore Accurate" version of Nuka Cola, note that the recipe calls for the _essences_ of the 17 different fruit, and not necessarily their juices. To pull this recipe off, you'll need flavor extracts of most of these fruit. Note that these extracts are quite potent, and for the purposes of this recipe, you should probably only add about a quarter teaspoon of each. Also, if you add grape juice, use the dark variety as this helps maintain the color of the final product better.
And for that truly authentic Nuka Cola experience, be sure to add the Radioactive Strontium Isotopes at the end.
That last one is for the quantum one
The other ones have no strontium
Именно поэтому я обожаю быть в сообществе фанатов Fallout😆 Кто еще кроме нас стал бы обсуждать приготовление радиоактивного напитка?
FUN FACT: Tonic water, mountain dew, sprite, and 7up all glow under a black light, so you can use any of those in the recipe to make the quantum glow
@@aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa334 Now all I want to know is why those particular ones glow under black light.
@@amandadadesky5192 because a lot of things glow under black light. For example in tonic water it's because of quinine which is used for the bitter taste.
Dude you completely forgot the most important ingredient in Nuka Cola Quantum, you forgot the small radioactive isotope of Strontium-90
Woah, I never thought about Nuka-cola Quantum tasting like Mountain Dew. That is absolutely perfect, both in idea and the fact that Mtn Dew is up there on my favorites.
Love me some Mountain Dew as well!
I imagine it would be Mtn Dews Baja Blast from taco bell, Or Blue raspberry with a staticky poprock background
I imagine it as a cola Turned into an energy drink
It's just overpriced lemonade with a fancy name though.
@@gabork5055 Wouldn't say it tastes like lemonade at all. I think it's closer to limeade, but still not exactly that.
These are always fun to see, makes me kinda debate if I should grab the cookbooks. That Nuka Float makes me question my diet though, haven't had a good float in years.
Yeah I had a mad crash after all that sugar but the float was too good. Definitely recommend the cookbook though. One of my favorite ones in my collection.
I just ordered the cookbook I can’t wait to try some recipes 😋
It's totally fine to have sugary things once in a while though. If you're craving something sugary and haven't had sugar for a while, don't torture yourself; go ahead and make the float!
@@SheppardOfFire lol I wish, but quarantine has left me needing the diet, so I'm gonna try it maybe as a Holiday treat.
@@DamnCyrus Yeah that's understandable lol, making the float would actually be a perfect Holiday treat
The reason why the nuka cola quantum came out such a wierd color was because the cook is supposed to use a blue fruit punch in the recipe. Something like Tampico. The book doesn't tell you this but if you do it, the syrup comes out more blue then if you use another color.
That really sounds like something that ought to be mentioned in the recipe. Not necessarily any specific brand name, but the blue color is Quantum's defining feature.
The glow comes from the radioactive isotope strontium-90
Someone from Fallout said Jones Blue lemonade is the Quantum. And jones was contracted to make it.

You should do the Vim recipes as well.
Also it’s a shame the book didn’t go all out and have all the Nuka-Cola and Vim flavors along with Sunset Sarsaparilla (the Atomic Cocktail would have been cool too).
Theres a sunset sarsaparilla recipe on RUclips, it's not a official recipe but it's the closest thing we could get

I literally love yakult. My mother would always pack one in my little galaxy cat lunch bag.

I love fallout, but even beyond that, this video made homemade soda look way easier than I ever would've thought, and sounds like something i definitely want to try now
You should! It's pretty fun to put together
This was entertaining and quite genius. Some of those sounded spot on. Cheers man!
I actually really like the idea that Nuka Cola is reminiscent of root beer. Makes the whole connection/rivalry with Sunset Sarsaparilla much more interesting
Nuka Wild was actually developed for just that. It's in one of the loading screen tips for the Nuka World DLC for Fallout 4. I saw it just yesterday
I'm honestly glad I came across ur channel, u don't see many people reviewing alot of fallout drinks. Keep up the great work
Grateful that you saw the vid! Looking forward to trying more drinks from Fallout and other games :)
@@MisoHungrie speaking of radioactive drinks...you should do bonk from the tf2 series, there's no cookbook but I'm sure someone made a recipe
Amazing video!!! Loved seeing these prepared
I just wanted to say I like how you actually explain the flavors
For the Nuka Quantum:
When I made the sirups they became clear in the end, maybe its the kind of sugar used?
And its wierd that the blue food coloring has a amount listed. Every kind of food coloring has a different strength. You would need to calculate how much Quantum you can make, then look at the food coloring instructions for how much to use. There are also food colorings specifically made for drinks that work better
Was it also extremely sour for you too? I made it and it's just unpleasant.

Great video! I’ve always been interested in trying Nuka Cola myself, but didn’t know that so many different ingredients went into making it. I might have to pick up that Fallout cookbook.
It's really good! Hope you like it!
I really like the way you made the thumbnail in the video and added commentary over it instead of just using a photoshoped image like many creators. Like you used the photo editing but really well showed me in a way that was entertaining
Thanks for the feedback Brent! Glad you liked the thumbnail
I was honestly a bit scared about the ingredients that would be used for the Nuka Cola base. There's already so much sugar, I was kinda worried they would say to add Coca Cola. But nah, just some seltzer water. If you say it's good, I might give it a try one day, tbh!
Also, glad RUclips recommended your channel, instant subscribe!
I mean its how the original cola was made. If you buy artisan cola itll taste herbal to
So is seltzer water just carbonated water, i am not American/english so idk whats the equivalent for it.

I used to try and sneak them out of the fridge, but I did not understand that my parents can clearly see that Yakult is missing from the fridge.
Real fun Video, thanks!!
The funny thing to me, is that while i definitely didnt have the idea for a flavor profile of each of the soda's, but they all sound exactly like whatd you expect them to taste like.
There's actually two recipes in the Vault Cookbook that are based on recipes that came in Fallout 1's game guide and have shown up in New Vegas (Desert Salad and Mushroom Cloud). It would be cool if you made the original recipes and the Vault Cookbook versions and compared them.
Nice video though I've haven't seen anyone make all the flavors on yt.
That’s a cool idea, I hope he sees this comment!

Thx for reminding me to sub
its so nice to see videos like this. its good to know when making any of the nuka colas what to expect and what can be changed up a bit when making it to make it taste even better :D
So glad your channel popped up in my recommended this week
perhapse an idea for making a brighter cherry is to hold off on the browning sauce for the regular cola batch you plan to mix with the cherry
In universe we do know that there is a Passion Fruit alternative flavor and within Nuka Cola there is also likely Guava and Pomegrante too aside our more citrus that the cookbook provides. I could also see a Cactus flavor as one of the flavors.
Also fun fact: Soda was originally medicinal as cough medicines before early soda companies like Coca Cola started marketting it as a soft drink instead, leaving a lot of early Sasparilla and alternatives to things like 7Up. However you get a few old brands like Hires, Vernors, and Moxie still kicking too with 7Up as one of the PreCola brands to which basically all are owned by Dr. Pepper except for Moxie to which is just in its small market as its based on herbs that go well with fish.
I love your honesty and dedication to these drinks!

I might actually get this cookbook just to make these sodas.
Two things.
One, the Book Nuka Cherry could probably be a brighter red if you left out the browning sauce when making normal Nuka Cola syrup.
Two, 76 is pretty good now. Bethesda really turned things around.
Do so for the quantum as well. and use something like what Gatorade uses for coloring.

ya know i doubt they ever will but i hope they make another one of these with recipes from 76 as there is some food and drinks in that game that would be really cool to make IRL though hopefully they leave nukashine out of it as i dont want to black out and wake up somewhere else
Drink Nukashine and one of two things will happen...
You will black out and stay that way.
You will black out and wake up in/think you're in a world far into the future where there was some kind of nuclear war.

THREE CUPS of sugar?????
Yeah, soda is pretty sugary🪑
You also only drink a small amount because you put it in the soda water
In the games atleast fallout nuka cola is canonically very unhealthy
120% RDA of sugar, according to fallout wiki entry.
Nuka cola has less sugar than coke
I was waiting for nuka cola dark was really interested how they would say to make that one
Ah,a fellow Fallout cookbook owner. Great job!
Most of Fallout colas wouldn't taste the typical colas we had as in the universe of fallout the war made it hard to use quality ingredients so Nuka Cola had to be made from rationed ingredients that were not used much during the war.
That's how Fanta was invented back in Nazi-Germany. As a replacement for Coca-Cola due to the American trade embargo.
plus america had effectivly become isolantionist europe and the mid east had fallen into war and chyna had conquered most of asia so nuka cola corp didnt have overseas markets like IRL coca cola did.
The fallout 4 nuka rocket bottle is *absolutely perfect*
