If u haven't been to the Louisville Slugger Museum, you have to bring the family for a wonderful tour. The best part is, you and the family get mini bat's to take home. How great is that!!

Marshall was a work comp claimant attorney with a great reputation. I had many cases against him and now have many vs his son and both are honorable attorneys. He and fellow collector, the late Barrie Sullivan of Denver were inspirational to all of us in their quest for the best memorabilia. The Mantle 10 is likely the most valuable card on the planet.

I have been collecting autographs from my favorite athlete for a few years now. The best thing I've learned was to build a database of known autographs to use to compare when potentially buying a new one. This is pretty much what authentication companies do. I have a huge folder full of known autos, categorized by items the athlete has autographed over the years. I also have a folder full of fakes which helps me to really see what common mistakes forgers make.
The other thing that is super important is the proper display of your valuable memorabilia. UV-protected glass and keeping direct sun out of your display room is important for preservation.

He collected cards as a kid but the vast majority of his collection wasn't purchased until the late 1980's and beyond. He was an attorney, but I always wondered if he was an early Microsoft investor or hit it big with other stocks or just came from a wealthy family to have had millions to invest in the 1990's. Either way, he certainly timed his card buying right
