Dude should open up a museum. I'd pay to see that collection in person.
Freaking BRILLIANT idea...... even if he only opened the museum once a month. Absolutely incredible collection that Jeff barely scratched the surface on.
pop up museums during all star weekends would be insane

I just bought several boxes of 89 Fleer tri0le cello packs. I have one pack so far that has the Griffey Jr rookie as a top card. Gonna have to go back now and look for the Randy Johnson. Love this video! That guy is an absolute genius!!!
This was a thrilling trip down memory lane. I have hand collated 3 52 Topps and 4 near complete. And 2 48 Leaf 🍃 and 33 GOUDEY Sports Kings 3 complete and 5 near . All from sealed packs
I was thrilled to notice he didn’t have my T206 Honus Wagner showing through the tobacco cello I got from my Great GrandPappy Steven Callaway, who owned a Tobacco Shop in town that sold sweet caporals, which he kept those American Tobacco Company packs because they were too expensive & ultimately he kept them for himself but they didn’t taste very well so he brought them home & stored them in the Attic before being called up for WW1…..ironically Honus Wagner end up having his card pulled from the tobacco products due to kids were trying to steal the tobacco to get to the cards…..so my Great Grandpappy had the first runs of the cards, they don’t even look real they are so perfect, you can see Honus Wagner through the tobacco pack
Fantastic collection to say the least. Hey - I have resisted opening 5 Topps 1977 baseball Rack Pack boxes since I bought them in 1977.
That's impressive! 120 rack packs!?
@@alltimesportscards Yes - I bought a 6 box rack case when I was a teenager in 1977 and did open the packs of 1 of the boxes. I kept the other 5 sealed. I'm glad I did.
Love when we get to see these incredible collections from around the world. More videos like this!!
Dude has more money than he can shake a stick at. Great Collection!!! Best I’ve ever seen
He's not going to let you blow him
Great rare collection. Scarcity and rarity is the way to collect. Value!! awesome collection. Thanks for sharing with us!!!!!
That is probably the most badass collection I have ever seen. I want to see all of his collection.
Thank you for sharing to the public your incredible collection!
This is absolutely AMAZING!! Very unique collection and RARE!!
Awesome, brings back memories of those 80's packs. Remember going through tons of Fleer Celos pulling out the All Star card's and pulling out everything he had those 81 boxes we 5 dollar boxes at 1 time for a few years before they hit over 10. The Rice, Montana, Marinos on cello and rack packs. Those were the days of finding stuff just as they hit the shelf 1st pick 😂 Thanks for a wonderful show. Getting some tickets graded hopefully these Cleveland LeBron tickets grade high been sitting on them since the game lol Peace
Absolutely Awesome!! And right here in my home state, WOW! Thank you so much for sharing.
Wow!This is not normal collection it's a national treasure. Congrats what insane registries set to own. 👏
A true celebration of steroids
Cant believe so many negative comments.. im in awe of this collection!
They're jealous
The collection is cool, the dude trying to corner the influencer market is the Ryan Seacrest of Guys who collect tiny pieces of cardboard with pictures of men printed on them.

This was the best video I’ve seen on the channel 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
as cool as seeing all of the collectibles, I always find it interesting to hear other collector's strategies, thought process, etc. re: how they choose to invest.
I luv the graded cello packs at the beginning!!.so awesome!! I have 20 myself. Always looking 4 more!!
I absolutely love this. I collect sealed wax but nothing on this level. This is an awesome collection and the collector seems like a great guy too.
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME COLLECTION SIR... UNBELIEVABLE, ALL THE CARDS I ALWAYS DREAMED OF HAVING, THANKS FOR ALLOWING JEFF TO SHARE THIS AWESOME EXPERIENCE QITH THE WHOLE WORLD...
When I was a kid my dad owned a card shop. When it shut down I found a 1981 pack sealed with the Bird,Magic,Dr J rookie showing in the bottom in a white long box. Like any 12 year old would do, I opened it and sold the card for $100…
It happens, but it sounds like you did well. There's a ton of this stuff floating around, so I personally am terrified to put money into it. If the hobby ever wakes-up and learns the difference between true scarcity and artificial scarcity, I think the hobby will shift and evolve into a different direction.
Don’t feel bad. As a young kid(12-14), I traded a Lemiux RC for some Playboy’s at a pawn shop in the early 90’s🤣💀
@@vintagecollector5340 That's why I stick to HOF autos & generally avoid the artificial scarcity of the new "parallel" craze.
@@pewpewTN You have to be extremely careful with autos, as well. If the auto is from an athlete who doesn't sign often (like Barry Bonds) or someone (like Roberto Clemente) who has been dead a long time, then you're probably fine. Otherwise, there's a ton of autos in existence, as well. For example, Pete Rose signs a ton of stuff all the time. I mean, Rose has probably been signing for at least around six decades. His autographs are plentiful, as are most other players.
@vintagecollector5340 I don't know much about Baseball, I do Football & Basketball.
Otto Graham, Night Train Lane, Walter Payton, Johnny U.
Guys that didn't have many Autographed cards.
How do you go about getting packs graded? How do you package them up to send in?
LOVE his collection! My favorite has to be Wilt. Thanks to you both for sharing. :)
Not sure I could resist not opening the 1986 Fleer pack with Jordan in it...that takes discipline!!
Best sports card collection ever. Awesome video.
This guys collection is off the charts!
What a gorgeous and unique collection!
What an incredible collection. Very unique items!!
As a 60 year old and was a teenager in the late 70's and collector in the 80's this dude is exactly right about unopened anything. I'm gonna predict that in 5 to 10 years, anything unopened from the 80's will be worth any much as anything unopened in the 70's, even years where rookies weren't abundant, 1986 and 1988 to be precise.
What a collection! It’s amazing to see how others collect. Great video
My buddy past and I bought his collection from his wife. He had a lot of unopened packs and rookies from the 80s
Great strategy of rarity. When I was young, I was just a collector. I should have done a little more investing! Beautiful collection.
Incredible… I can only imagine what he did for a living to afford such a treasure trove
Interesting on the star 85 card.
The top of the PSA graded area it has his name spelt Hakeem
Down on the card itself, they have it Akeem Olajuwon
Is that an error??
He changed his name from “Akeem” to “Hakeem” in the early 90s.
@@jamesrfb very cool. I had no idea!
When Kirk Cousin is not playing football, he interviews sports card collectors.
Impressive collection...wow. thanks for sharing with us!!
Super cool way to collect rookies! I love packs. I’m just too impulsive to leave them alone.
Wow. Really cool😎 thanks for showing
I've watched this video a few times now as just awesome. HOWEVER looking at the PSA 9 and 10's it puts in perspective on what a coin flip it is for a pack to be graded a 9 compared to a 10. I'd love to know the EXACT slight flaw was on a 9 to a 10. I'd bet even money a PSA grader couldn't tell you. It's almost as if a person working that day would just say, "nah not giving it a 10" on a pack that was borderline.
Where can I get those packs for face value?
Great interview SCI!
This is my EXACT era of collecting also, I have ALOT of these cards, but as an 80s kid I unfortunately opened my cards 😆 yes they went straight into a binder, penny sleeve top loader etc...I still have them today..but it never occurred to me to NOT even open the packs 😮 and also grading was just something I didn't even know about till way later...what a shame 😢
These cards will never “breathe again….breathe again” - Toni Braxton 🎼
Great collection. Think he's onto something collecting jerseys like Vassell.
Such a weird phenomenon to slab full unopened packs. Going off today, it’s pretty much the 24 Prizm Basketball or the 24 Upper Deck Series 2 Hockey, and open everything else.
Amazing collection!
Cool packs. Nice getting the Cello as they present well in those slabs. Lame PSA doesn't put the FF Bat in the registry. You can't even see it in the slab. They stick all those drugged out asterisks in the reg. Great collection from a super focused collector. Love when people have fun acquiring items of joy. Great share and episode. Nice guy for opening his stash for you.
Holy crap that is a unreal collection. WOW
I loved this interview. Its not a bad idea to get advice and plays from a collector who has proven foresight in the hobby
My question is did you take the Gum out before they graded, they would give a PSA10 with the gum still In those 80's packs?
Amazing iconic collection! Love videos like this
Thanks for sharing and discussing how you’ve done this in such a short time.
Not hard to do when you buy stuff flying under the radar.
MORE EPISODES LIKE THESE PLEASE, GEOFF!!!!!! 👏👏👏
So in the 80s I bought a cello pack from the late 70s..Had a young Hockey star on top. Luckily the store I bought the pack from didn't peek .. as he bought the pack from me after I bought it.. Ugh I wish I had kept that pack.
Amazing collection 🤩
The NBA Star 85 over sized cards - were they signed out of the pack/box or did people get them signed later?
Signed later
As someone just starting out, I feel like there’s no darn way for a guy to make that kind of collection this day in age!
Oh man Collecting was huge in 90s then disappeared in many ways. Some of us still bought. It will happen again
It's possible. It's just not possible with these particular items.
There absolutely is, you just need to think outside the box. Find something that is underappreciated and start collecting it.
@@ashevillecomics637 Absolutely. Mine is original photos and negatives. I've always said that once everyone else is chasing it, it's too late.
@@ashevillecomics637 Absolutely. Mine is original photos and negatives. I've always said that once everyone else is chasing it, then it's too late. I have original Griffey rookie-era photos that I bought for a few dollars. All printed on Kodak paper. Not everyone wants this stuff right now. While many photos have indeed skyrocketed in value, the most demand is still in cards.
Unbelievable collection, I have the entire run of 80s 🏀 PSA packs but it's a joke in comparison. A 1961 Fleer 🏀 pack is 🔥 amazing find
Outstanding collection! I remember those 80 cellos well. Wish I had known what I know now. I would have never had the patience to not open those packs 😂
Love all of the Pearl Jam posters.
Just curious on the value of a pack graded 10 with Cal on the top versus a Cal 10?
good question, but one thing many people don't realize -- just because a pack gets a PSA 10 grade, the card showing on top, if it was removed from the pack, may only get a PSA 6, as it could have some corner dings, have surface issues, etc -- when they grade packs, they don't really look at the top and bottom cards, but rather the condition of the wrapper, the creases, etc...
Is the top card a psa10 too?
I had to like/comment and show support....great video great collection 😊
Great video. He is obviously a pack guy and wealthy but I can’t help but wonder if the 86 fleet Jordan crack out and grades a 10 is worth more than as is .
Crazy awesome collection
I don't know if I trust those 86 fleet basketball graded packs. It's way to easy to replace out good cards in the packs before grading, or even during grading. The guy even said the Joprdon rookie would be in th e middle
Seeing 10s on damaged packs with damaged cards is a mockery of the grading system.
Wrinkles color loss damage to package print cards have obviously had damage from bricking and been repacked as can been seen by the pitting on the front card with no color transfer to the cello pack.
Appreciate people like this great video!!!!
The 87 Bo was one of my first cards, still have it too, I was 7 years old
Curious- so a PSA graded 10 pack the card may not necessarily be a 10?
I just went online and bought really good autos (15 of them) of Devin Vassell...that guy could be on to something..wemby cards are already at skyrocket max...the "scottie pippen" to wemby could be a gold mine
@sportscardinvestor what
Are you going to do with acuna jr bat and ball ? Hope for the best ?
Or shoes and bat , sorry
Amazing, i have many wax, cello and rack pack boxes i never opened going back to 1980
I think its pretty cool. I just love packs. Dig the SCI wax wall
I don't think the Henderson Rookie is 1:792, as I'm pretty sure only certain sheets of cards are possible to get on the top of packs.
sick jordans, well done on getting them
I have a few of Montana unopened cello packs and love them.
Wow, what a collection, Amazing, thanks for sharing 🔥🔥🔥👍
Gorgeous and unique collection
Wow just wow makes me wonder why I didn’t do the same starting with the joe Montana 1981 cello pack I bought back in 1988 with him on top for 5.00 boy i feel dumb now
Good show. I liked this.
Exquisite collection! Very nice.
Cool collection!!!!
Absolutely great video! Very well
Imagine the rare pulls that could be in these packs 😩
Wow those 50 bball signed cards are amazing
Simply amazing collection!
I used to work part-time at a baseball card shop and instead of cash I would get 1978 and 1979 Topps rack packs and ended up with one with a Ozzie Smith rookie on top and it was nicely centered. I sold it at a baseball card show in 1985. I hope that the person never opened it up.
Amazing sets!
Imagine playing the Drinking Game while watching these videos. Take a shot every time the word “iconic” is used, you’d be comatose by the end of the video.
I couldve gotten the Star Jordan this year at a card shop. Was a BGS 8. I just dont like that particular photo. Im saving to get a Star Slam Dunk Superstars card. I think they might be from same dunk, but better angle.
Awesome video thanks!
Absolutely next level stuff!!!
crazy collection.
the gai shoutout was a surprise. gai was a legit company. but in time, their graded stuff became controversial as some say that they graded fake cards, but we all know that there are a number of fake, and even altered cards graded by “legit” grading companies. imo, gai slabbed stuff are ok if you know what you’re looking for to find out the legitimacy of a certain card or in this case, a pack.
got surprised with his wemby analysis. vassell? really? the whole team except for wemby are all dispensable. oh well, kinda risky, in my opinion.
Reading the comments they're 99% positive as they should be. I have a different take though. This is obviously one of the greatest collections ever assembled right? No question about that. But the owner is most likely a gazillionaire so he was able to buy the exact pieces he wanted over time. I honestly prefer the types of collections that the uncle had hidden up in the attic for the last 50 years and are now worth millions.
As cool as it is to have a rookie on top, in reality the card itself, in most cases, is in better condition of it is not on top or bottom of the pack as the corners are still subject to damage even though it's in a pack.
im lost with the clear wraps that have original wrap images
Sure PSA loves the guy, he kept them in business
Amazing!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Can’t say it enough, but I love these videos
Awesome show
