Sticky Buns in bulk recipe // Come bake with me

- I'm preparing Sticky Buns for a bake sale this weekend.
Kathy Zook's Cinnamon Roll Recipe
1 Quart Milk
2 C Potatoes, Mashed
1 C Shortening or oil
3 T Yeast
1 C Sugar
2 Eggs
2 T Salt
12-14 C Flour
Mix as any yeast dough and let rise until doubled. Work down and let rise again until almost double. Shape into cinnamon rolls. Place in pans and let raise again.
You want the dough to be sticky that's what makes soft rolls. Also this are best baked in glass pie pans.
Sticky
2 sticks butter
2 Cups brown sugar
Cinnamon
Nuts
Bake at 375 until done

LeAnne that is how my Great Aunt Alice used to make her Sticky Buns like !!! I loved them so much when I was a kid I asked for them for My BIRTHDAY Gift from her !!! She made those for me ALL ME !!!

I have a bad habit of commenting while watching the videos. I just heard you say that you want to make quilts for people in need which is so wonderful! When you do please consider also people who are on dialysis. I know for a fact that during their dialysis they get extremely cold and have to dress very warmly and carry blankets. However, whoever you choose they will be such a great blessing as you are already to us!

Hi, LeAnne! Awesome flipping on those sticky buns. All your baked goods looked so wonderful. It’s a good thing I don’t live close to you-I’d be over there all the time ‘testing’ your kitchen goods. You are doing such good work with your quilting group. How wonderful to share your talents with others. My mother-in-law made the most beautiful quilt for my husband and me. It is one of my most treasured possessions. When she gave it to us, she looked me right in the eyes and very sternly told me I had better put it to use and not store it away for company. Every time I see it, it reminds me of how much love and how many hours she put into it. I don’t quilt but I do knit. Favorites are baby blankets. My knitting circle makes these for the women’s shelter and also for the food bank. Hoping you have a glorious week! Hoping you made lots of money at the bake sale.

Yes! They don’t spread as much with the 8 inch. Since prices have gone up, I have started putting in 5 in each pan and they spread out more.

WoW! Never heard or seen these made with potatoes before so interesting. There is a very famous old recipe in Cambridge UK that is similar but with Currants not nuts called A Chelsea Bun made by Fitzbillies they send them all overnight the UK & Europe.

Those look like sticky buns which on my most favorite thing in the world! When I was in Pennsylvania once I had a grilled sticky and I thought I would die it was so good! I would love to purchase some of what you make. :-)

So I ordered the bearings and special grease that went on them and I gave it to my daughter. It didn’t cost much to get the bearings and grease. Have a blessed night you and your family!

Looks yummy, Leann! So wonderful that you quilt for vets and others in need. Do you hand quilt or use a machine? I ask because I have a partially completed quilt that my grandmother started but could not finish due to Alzheimers.
I do mostly by long arm but I do hand work as well. I just started quilting three years ago but enjoyed it!

I should have made them all sticky buns and nothing else… the sticky bun sold quickly for $8.50 a pan! My Cinnamon rolls with maple frosting didn’t even move! People are so traditional around here.
That was fun. It seemed to me that you put approximately 32 cups of flour in there. I wanted to see you ice those glorious calorie laden confections. And I remember those little one wheeled nightmares they call an exercise apparatus you were referring to.

Yes you can, may I suggest using cool water so the yeast doesn’t over work in the beginning.
