Upgrade to Tow Mirrors

Installing a set of OEM style Tow mirrors on my 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500. The factory mirrors on a half ton truck just don't perform well while towing, upgrading to the tow mirrors is affordable and made a huge difference with visibility.

I added a set of those to my 8.1 2500 Yukon XL years ago. The lower mirror I would adjust down so I could see the trailer tires. They make ones now for the older trucks that look like the 2016 and up trucks with the rear cargo lights in the mirror frame. I had factory ones on my 2016 3500 and it was awesome when backing up or loading at night. For anyone doing this mod spend the few extra bucks and get the ones with cargo lights built in.

Keep these coming! I got the same truck and its going to be my tow rig as well. It would be cool to get the details on what and how much you tow and if you tow it through mountains. Also, whats your axle ratio?

Thanks man. I pull my boat and flat bed trailer. I also tow my jeep to the trail. I would guess that's around 6k. I have pulled it across the mountain pass. It struggled a bit and tyranny got a little warm, but does the job. It has factory gearing. I believe it's 3.43 or something like that
