@@chriso6719 it was a once in a lifetime experience. I was fortunate enough to meet a lot of the artists. And a few give a private acoustic concert for free in the days leading up to the concert which was great. Like Damian Wilson and Michael Mills and Marcela Bovio. I got to talk with them afterwards and have a picture with them and have them sign stuff for me. I will cherish this forever.

Hello Frank. Have you recovered from your Ayreonautic experience? Is your voice back or is it still lost beneath the waves? How was the show? People keep talking how Brittney slayed it (200 IQ pun, I know :) I've only seen a couple videos, courtesy of some disrespectful swine who managed to smuggle a camera into the venue despite the explicit request not to film. And I'm glad he did. :) What's the story with the binary shirts, eh? I sense some conspiracy here...

I had to stay in bed for a couple of days because my body was hurting a lot and I caught a cold walking home in the rain just wearing a T-shirt and shorts. I have met a lot of people like Marcela Bovio, Irene Jansen, Damian Wilson, Jeroen Goossens and Ed Warby, I’ve also met Brendon and he gave me his T-shirt with the binary code which I then handed to Ed Warby, who said he was going to give it to Arjen. Brendon gave the other T-shirt to Jeroen, who gave it to Joost. So all in all a great success. Now I hope we can see Joost and Arjen someday wearing them. 😎
@@frank1963 That's great. All but the cold part. Coincidentally, I too became sick about 10 days ago, and still ain't getting any better. Surprisingly, self-medication with cognac doesn't seem to help. :) Seeing them LULs wear the appropriate shirts would be hilarious.🤣

That's a great book. Lots of insights, warts and all. There was a whole tour in 1999 that became known as the Summer of Wilderness tour. It was the second tour the band did and still confined to Finland. 33 shows, not bad only 3 years after they were formed.

@@frank1963 Pretty good, but having some issues with my right eye. had a clogged vein and lost a little vison. Definitely not good for my sniper skills.
They were great, but you can tell how much theyve grown from then to now. Tarja was singing more of a contemporary style. Empuu looks strange without his purple EV and short hair lol. I didn't hear symphonic parts either, so maybe they couldn't incorporate that live or maybe it was buried. Anyway ty for the react and blast from the past. ❤
@iina6106 OK less of the deep classical style she uses later in other albums... better? This Tarja I can listen to, the later Tarja not so much. Just my opinion, everyone has their own preferences.
They've been in the studio recording the new album which is the final part of the trilogy. Toumas says it will be heavier and they are also taking a long break.
Something is definitely off. Not necessarily with someone's health. I hope not. I'm getting serious After Forever vibes of 2008, when they went on a hiatus and never came back.
