I am so glad you created your own channel. After watching your apartments in tokyo with Chris and Sharla, I knew I wanted to see more. I love these kind of videos.
Loved your tours with Chris and Sharla and happy to see you have your own channel with these amazing showcases. These are fantastic, and hope there are many more to come!
I have to like a video that features Italy so heavily 😁 I already imagined myself living there, attending courses at the local, prestigious university... I liked the apartment - a bit on the dark side but not overly so - but I see it more as a bachelor pad than a family apartment. I definitely would need the child's bedroom as my own studio. The only thing missing appears to be a balcony? I can't live without a good balcony...
It actually has two balconies, one coming off the living room and one coming off the laundry room (not shown). The one off the living room is large enough to enjoy a drink or light meal!
If you want a house like what you're describing in Tokyo, it's going to be insanely expensive. You can probably get a place like that in the countryside though.
Say you were considering moving to Japan, I know from the Trash Taste Boys that there's a bit of a problem for foreigners wanting to rent. The boys said it's easier to get your company to do it all for you, but what if you were to go to Japan as a freelancer? Is there agencies that specialise in foreigners? Programs to assist in accomodation for foreigners? Anything of the like? Because when I've saved enough, I want to go live in Japan for a year or so, surviving off of savings, that way I can freely travel Japan for an entire year and not worry about work. Naturally, renting an apartment would be cheaper than hotels every night. So what would your suggestion in this regard be?
@@TokyoPortfolio I actually didn't realise that's what your agency was all about 😂😂😂 I'd be looking at 2023 since I only started saving at the start of this year, but I'll leave another comment when the time comes 👍👍👍
Thank you for the tour! This apartment is similar or maybe better than Los Angeles when comparing price to location, size, and level of fixtures & finishes. I was expecting it to be be more expensive based on the location
I love your energy, great videos would you consider doing a video breaking down the fees that goes with buying houses in Japan as a whole!? and namely the 500$ you mentioned in this video thanks boss
This was really enjoyable to watch! I actually find these "cheaper" apartment tours more engaging than the super high-end ones. Maybe.... just maybe.... one day....
Be cool to get a stove that has like 1 gas and rest induction. Because for a lot of asian cooking you want gas for certain things but I do agre that induction look better and easier to clean.
@@TokyoPortfolioOooh have to look into them for the future. I always wanted a gas stove but the point you bring up make sense. It's just certain dish, especially chinese ones, really do need a gas stove.
Seeing these is quite interesting to me. These 'lower end luxury' places are about the same as you'd pay for a non-luxury apartment that size in Switzerland... Then again, man the management fees. Is it JUST management - or does it include things like heating and water as well?
the owner love Italian things! wow amazing! the Toto toilette i got the same one in my house in Chojamaru near ebisu garden place! I alreday bot a mansion there and now I'm looking for a second mansion price around 4.5-7 millions yen do you have some property for sale available?

most of the kitchen setup is a standard in most condos in Toronto lol its nice but gets boring if you love having projects like renovations like most women like ...
Toronto and Metro Vancouver are overpriced. Atlantic Canada's housing prices are moving up but only because people are escaping those pricey cities. Affordable housing does exist in Canada but comparing Toronto/Vancouver to Tokyo/Osaka..I'd most likely choose Tokyo/Osaka.
I have to wonder if there are block apartments or complexes worth over $1M. I would like to be a landlord in Japan but I of course need to find property for sale first (as well as learn laws and the language).
@@charlesliify Ever heard of `reduction to absurdity` fallacy ? Goods don't need to be free to go against unrestrained inflation. If I pay for the house then I pay for the house, not the size of middleman's ego. It's not even builders who sell.
@@PredatoryQQmber I didn't say free, just that it's not a purely tangible asset. Do you understand what an asset is in a financial setting and how that's different from a good that manufacturers sell? It has nothing to do with middleman, noone is scamming you here.
@@charlesliify You did. Selling house `for raw material cost` means not charging even for labour of building it, let alone mediation in selling. Don't throw snake oil salesman terminology around like it's some kind of universal truth. A middleman charging for a basic needs good (a small residence) several times over production cost is a legalized scam called `speculation`. You know, the thing that socialists despise and neoliberal capitalists religiously worship. So keep sermons for those who are in your cult, I've already heard enough.

No, it's $515 per month for management fees. It costs $1.2 million to own the place, but you have to pay the building for management costs every month.
@@TokyoPortfolio well 2 bedrooms should be standard for a family apartment. It's weird how a lot of Japanese apartments only have 1 bedroom. Where are the kids supposed to sleep? There's no study or office space. This is one of many reasons why Japanese have few kids nowadays.
Imagine spending 1.2 mill on an apartment in which you have to dry your clothes on a clothes line hahaha baffles how Japan can be so "forward thinking" in alot of aspects but be so far behind in others...cool place to visit but i'd NEVER wanna live there lol for 1.2mill here where i live in the States you can buy a mansion on 20 acres
I didn't show it in the video, but there's actually a full washer/dryer room. You can also buy a large house on a huge amount of property over here, but just a $1.2m mansion on 20 acres in the US, you would have to settle for living in the middle of nowhere.
Dude has a kitchen like that and uses canned spaghetti sauce? That kitchen needs a cook who will put those appliances through their paces with fresh ingredients and homemade recipes, not to reheat mass produced blandness.
Hey, sometimes you just want to eat spaghetti and don't want to worry about washing, chopping and sautéing ingredients, then waiting until they get reduced (but not burned) all while making sure your kid doesn't run into a wall.
@@TokyoPortfolio If I serve someone a meal I cooked it has to be from scratch, when they ask what's in the sauce I don't want the answer to be "I dunno". It's like having a 1957 Goldtop Les Paul on display but you don't play guitar, it blasphemy.
