I'm so glad to see another micro-apartment tour from you, Usui! You're one of my favorite RUclips creators. Here's my opinion of today's apartment: HAHAHAHAHAHA no. 1) Once the washing machine and refrigerator are in place, is there even room to go past them into the apartment? 2) I hate having a medicine cabinet in the kitchen. I don't want to keep my face cream and toothbrush and makeup in the same place where I'm preparing food. 3) Having a closet right next to the kitchen means your clothes will always smell like food. They should have put the washing machine there and made a closet in the living room. 4) That cupboard in the toilet room is in JUST the right spot for you to hit your head every time you sit on the toilet. 5) That ventilator (or whatever it is) on the balcony takes up far too much space and makes an already small balcony so small as to be unusable. Plus the cable is a tripping hazard. Why did they even bother making a balcony at all? 6) Those stairs are far too narrow and steep to be safe. I'd be constantly worried about falling sideways. A ladder would be safer. 7) The loft is nice enough, but it needs more electrical outlets up there to really be usable. 8) If it were half the price, it would MAYBE be worth putting up with everything else. Never at that price. I think this is one of my least favorite apartments! That cafe looks AMAZING, though!
The appliance on the balcony is part of the split aircon appliance. It's very common to see split aircon instead of ducted in Asia generally. The balcony is way too small, agreed. Likely it's only to service the Aircon unit if there's any problem. And hang clothes.
Yikes! Those stairs are an accident waiting to happen. If I ever were to live in a micro loft I would definitely need to have a proper staircase. One with a multifunction as a dresser/closet seems like the best solution.
This apartment is cozy in its own way but those stairs man, no no no lol. I've seen younger people than me fall off these and break something in their body. It's a pity not many architects/builders make use of mezzanine floors to make smaller apartments more spacious and cozier, safer too in most cases.
I could make that apartment work. Build a padded headboard for the back of the loft, with a narrow shelf on top for alarm clock, then use a twin or full size bed. I'd get a small wall mount washer, and a 7 cu ft refrigerator with a convection oven on top. I'd use an apartment size sofa on the long wall opposite the stairs, and build a table that slides under the arm of the sofa, with a hinged top that folds down for use when I eat or work on my laptop. Put the TV under the stairs. It would work! 😊 Love the cafe!
Если ты молодой и одинокий и у тебя мало личного имущества, такая квартира вполне подойдёт даже на длительный срок. Приятно видеть, что каждая мелочь в квартире хорошо продумана и качественно выполнена.
Yes, I think it's meant for young professionals who mostly eat their meals in diners or markets. They will only go home to sleep, and young people wouldn't think about the risk of the stairs! The rent is still a lot for that tiny space.
Welcome back! Honestly the apartment is really an awkward space where even a pair of shoes in the hallway would block it. I’m positive I’d fall down those stairs and probably get stuck on the toilet (not sure where I’d put my legs 😂) and I know I’d bonk my head in the loft space and if I didn’t it would be a miracle. The balcony isn’t. Sorry but is a definite no from me. Perhaps it’s suitable for a much younger, thinner and more vertically challenged person than I. 😂 Thank you for showing us around it though, it’s always fun to see the different styles of micro homes. 🙏😊💚
When I saw the entire entrance area and how narrow it was, my eyes started to twitch. And the micro-sized balcony 😅 Live there?; not for money. But yes. Lots of light in the living area.
The apartment is OK and looks cozy, but they could've extended the stairs a bit further out and use a normal sized steps instead. That still leaves plenty more space underneath it.
I agree with what many have said about the tightness of the space, the “balcony”, and the scary stairs. The best thing about this one, imho, is the large number of windows and how that adds so much natural light to the space. It makes it feel slightly less cramped than otherwise.
He saw my cat stairs comment from before. I’m dying. 🤣🐾 I could totally live here though. I would have a tv mounted on the wall above a tall dresser with my cozy chair near the window. I might be ok going down the stairs with my knee. We could start taking bets to see how long it’ll take me to smack my head on the underside of the steps. 😅. I love reading and the natural lighting during the day is a big plus for me personally. The process and neighborhood is just right too. Sign me up 💖
I just love the cleanliness of Japanese streets. When I was there this year, there were children being supervised to pick up minute pieces of rubbish, with tongs, in the street near Shinjuku station.
This is a crazy apartment The small size of bathroom shower kitchenette loft and balcony Oh my goodness the stairs are a nightmare No I could not live in this one But glad you are back Have a great day and see you on next video ❤❤❤❤❤

It's just like living in a small box not even high enough to stand (upstairs) ! It's not even half my bedroom, and I've six of them, plus the living and dining rooms, a separate kitchen and two bathrooms (one downstairs and one upstairs, the one downstairs with a big bath I love so soak in). I'm not a rich person by any means, but I live in a very small village in the French countryside, and we made a lot of improvements ourselves, my late husband and I. Thats's what allowed us such a house. A real cosy home. I'm over 60, the mortgage is over, my children were born and raised in this house full of memories, I'm settled, I don't think I'll ever move out. These places are cute but not done for spending a whole day in... even less a whole life.
Hello Usui! Long time no see. I hope that during the break there was an opportunity to rest at least a little. Thank you for another (wow! already #70) wonderful video with a review of a micro-apartment. The stairs are creepy to be honest (thanks for being brave again for us). But overall, a very pleasant and sunny atmosphere. And also a magnetic wall 👍🏻 is a cool solution, especially for a rented apartment. Flowers, this is my love, you already know that. And cats are such adorable fluffy cuties. But today I especially want to thank you for the combination of music (so jazzy) and the sounds of city life, and especially like for the nostalgic music from old videos.❤
The apartment is pretty good; the amount of sunlight makes it feel spacious. Part of the problem with small spaces is that they feel like caves due to lack of natural light. Not this one. But those stairs would absolutely need some grip or carpet adhesive squares added to the steps. I like it. 😊
The stairs are pretty scary, but I think this would be a perfect, affordable starter apartment for a fit young person in one of the world's great cities. And the cat cafe is wonderful! If you're only 15 minutes away from the Shinjuku neighborhood, you don't need a lot of space at home, you'd be spending most of your time out and about in the city. Thanks for an entertaining tour, with a smooth, jazzy musical accompaniment.😺
I'm watching your previous videos and am happy to see this new one. You show us the city, the cost and your videos have nice music, it's a mini tour. I live in a 3000 square foot home but really appreciate your work.
I really like how bright qnd sunny this apartment was but those stairs 😳! Thank you for showing us the cat cafe. I wish we had one in my city in Canada.
Nice to have so much sunlight in that apartment. Climbing those stairs would help build leg strength for sure! As risky as they look, I'm just happy to see they installed railing to hold onto, so many apartments don't do that even if the stairs are dangerous. Thanks for the tour :)
It's funny you making all the references to cats. Looking at these tiny apartments I was feeling a sense of coziness and security, and had the thought that this must be what cats feel when they hide in a box. 😅🐱
I like the apartment, but those stairs are worrisome to have to come down from. I really like the stairs that have storage/shelves underneath them. The light fixture looks like it is from IKEA. Personally, for me, I like apartments with baths option. It’s a really nice apartment for someone! The cat cafe is so sweet! I’d never leave 😁. The last cat looks like my cat Hammie, he was a good cat! Thank you for showing us!
Hello and how nice to see you again and go touring a tiny apartment. At first, I would say no. But, when you went to the cafe with the lovely ambiance and beautiful cats, I had a change of heart. I do love cats and am currently sharing my home with eight of them inside. I think I could make this apartment work for just me. Though, quite small, I could manage knowing that I could visit that cafe every day. There would have to be some sleeping arrangements down stairs for me and I would rig up a basket to raise and lower anything up and down from the loft. Not possible for me to actually carry anything up and down as I would be clinging to that hand rail for dear life. Thank you for sharing Tokyo with us!
It's pretty. Perfect apartment for someone with cats... The person lives downstairs and the cats upstairs 😅 But the Cat Cafe is sooo lovely!! ❤❤ I wanna go there 😊
Hi Usui! Nice to see your interesting videos again! I like the area where this apartment is located, its colours, lovely windows and light but..... there is always a but... the ladder is dangerous, sort of an architectural joke and the corridor too narrow... Bye bye😊
This room is so small but very functional! I really love your video. It's amazing. Especially tiny furniture. They're so cute and help me to imagine more 3D images of this room.
I don't think this apartment would pass code in Canada what with how narrow the hallway is, the stairs, and the position of the aircon not having ventilation.
@@usui503 there are micro apartments in Canada I lived in one during university. It would have been classified as a 1R apartment in Japan. Not sure what the square footage was but it was something like 12 feet by 8 feet
I would have to trade out the death stairs for a ladder. Or, possibly make a rising, stepped bookshelf along that wall for proper stairs with a railing and never ever eat or gain weight. I think that kitchen supports the not eating/gaining weight.
So happy to see you return with another video. I wish the fancy light and all the windows could be transported to some of the bigger dark apartments. I think the balcony matches the stairs, made for a very slender short gymnast.

no to that apartment, the layout is so claustrophobic! some of these videos make me thankful for my 200 sq ft (18.6 m²) studio apartment. the cat cafe is so cute, i'd spend all my time there... why did it seem like it was playing Chasing Cars on a loop though, was it an episode of Grey's Anatomy 😂

Loved the cat cafe. The apartment is so, so. Doesn’t look like it’s comfortable!
Totalmente para gatos!😂
Ah, ahí están todos los inquilinos reunidos en el bar!😅
Gracias
😂😂😂😂😂😂
We've missed you! Thank you for sharing. 💙💙💙
You can use the bidet and wash your feet in the shower at the same time 🤣😂🤭
I have wondered about you. Seems it was a long time since your last vid. Thank you for the new content.
I like your sense of humor and that you like cats. I appreciate your videos. Thank you for what you do.
Those stairs were very steep and small! Just like the rest of the apartment lol 😂 Thank you for another great video 😊
Commonly metric measurements are used in Japan, so 3000 square foot = around 280 m2. Or if you prefer, around 85 tsubo 🙂
I really like how bright qnd sunny this apartment was but those stairs 😳! Thank you for showing us the cat cafe. I wish we had one in my city in Canada.
I love the cat Cafe! I would stay there all day!
Nice to have so much sunlight in that apartment. Climbing those stairs would help build leg strength for sure! As risky as they look, I'm just happy to see they installed railing to hold onto, so many apartments don't do that even if the stairs are dangerous. Thanks for the tour :)
It's good to see your post again! From 🇵🇭
Good grief 😱. That closet❣️👋🇨🇦
Ohmigawd that staircase 😳😳
Deseando que volvieras, ahora voy a disfrutarlo
A window in the bathroom, how nice!😊
It's pretty. Perfect apartment for someone with cats... The person lives downstairs and the cats upstairs 😅 But the Cat Cafe is sooo lovely!! ❤❤ I wanna go there 😊
Lama tdk melihat video anda,tuan usui,....woww kucing2 yg manis😍
Thank you for videoing this particular house. I expected the closet to have sliding doors. Thanks for showing the cat cafe.. wonderful.
El humor que tienes me encanta! A mi también me dan miedo las alturas, no se si podría subir ahí.
Welcome back,😊 missed the micro apts
Hope you had a good vacation. Loved this apt. stairs are a bit scary but the rest was great 👍
Happy for this post! 😄
Japan might have small apartments, but they are always very functional and cool! ...I wish we had micro apartments here in the USA!
Awesome! With cats!
Hi Usui! Nice to see your interesting videos again!
I like the area where this apartment is located, its colours, lovely windows and light but..... there is always a but... the ladder is dangerous, sort of an architectural joke and the corridor too narrow...
Bye bye😊
WAY too small, even with the great location and rent. Saving feature is the balcony. LOVE the cat cafe. ❤😺
Missed you Usui-san. I love the cat cafe!
اخيرا 😊 سنستمتع بجولة اخرى ❤
This room is so small but very functional! I really love your video. It's amazing. Especially tiny furniture. They're so cute and help me to imagine more 3D images of this room.
I don't think this apartment would pass code in Canada what with how narrow the hallway is, the stairs, and the position of the aircon not having ventilation.
Thanks for your comment!✨
Are there micro apartments in Canada?🇨🇦
@@usui503 there are micro apartments in Canada I lived in one during university. It would have been classified as a 1R apartment in Japan. Not sure what the square footage was but it was something like 12 feet by 8 feet
Toilet and sink combination. Amazing. The Japanese are so innovative. Great video. Thank you.
Yay, new video!
I liked the apartment, and I loved your video and sense of humor. Cafés with cats are such a wonderful idea. Beautiful cats!
I would have to trade out the death stairs for a ladder. Or, possibly make a rising, stepped bookshelf along that wall for proper stairs with a railing and never ever eat or gain weight. I think that kitchen supports the not eating/gaining weight.
Or grow old.
I don’t think I would like living in that apartment. But thank you so much for taking us to the cat Café. I enjoyed that.😊
Loved the cafe🐈...the apartment, not so much.😢
So happy to see you return with another video. I wish the fancy light and all the windows could be transported to some of the bigger dark apartments. I think the balcony matches the stairs, made for a very slender short gymnast.
Merhaba Usui San.
no to that apartment, the layout is so claustrophobic! some of these videos make me thankful for my 200 sq ft (18.6 m²) studio apartment. the cat cafe is so cute, i'd spend all my time there... why did it seem like it was playing Chasing Cars on a loop though, was it an episode of Grey's Anatomy 😂
Солнечная квартира ❤ Какие красивые улицы Токио ❤
Thanks!
Thanks for your comment!😊✨
I ❤ the cat Cafe
