That passenger seat is connected to the middle seat, I made a quick attempt to try and remove it but man it seems like it’s gonna be a mother son of a gun lol.. great vid, thanks man
That is correct the middle seat is connected to the passenger seat. It's easier to remove them together and then separate of necessary. Thanks for watching
@@JSFautoPlus thanks for the response. disable for just that seat or disables the entire system for all airbags? Im planning on removing the passenger seat and making a platform for my dog to lay/ sit on comfortably in my regular cab ram and dont want issues with the seat being removed.
Removing the seat will disable the entire system. Also the passenger airbag is designed to disable when the seat is not occupied with sufficient weight to trigger the airbag sensor. So there is other sensors in the seat. You can try unplugging the the connectors under the seat and see what it does before you remove the seat.

It certainly can be done. System would have to be fooled to think the seat and sensors are still there by using resistors and such. But then again it just gets more involved and it's your safety after all.
Bought a 96 Ram 2500 brand new and the seat covering failed in 3 years. Then bought a new Ram 1500 and the seat covering and cushion failed in 3 years. I'm average size and not fat, i can't figure out why Ram can't make a seat that lasts! They've known about this problem for 30 years. But they know the seats will last just long enough to get past warranty! They just don't give a shit about quality!

Does the airbag go off or something if you just leave the seat disconnected and drive?
Hi, Thanks for watching. No the air bag should not off with anything disconnected. But air bag light will be on and the system will disable.

Can I replace my cloth seats for my Ram 1500 with leather ones from a 2016 Laramie??
Yes you can they should bolt it directly. Keep in mind you will need the matching center console with the seats also. Thanks for watching/subscribing.

my ram doesn't have removable bolts in the back of the seat, it's a flat top bolt no way to remove
