About Master Sushi Chef Hiroyuki Terada:
Master Sushi Chef Hiroyuki Terada is one of the top Japanese Chefs in the entire world and the most popular Japanese chef on RUclips.
At age 10, Terada learned the basics of sushi from his father and then went on to attend RKC Chef's School in Kochi, Japan from 1987-1989. He soon earned a nickname for his fast knife, attention to detail, divine presentation and ability to create new dishes and accents based on traditional Japanese cuisine. After graduating RKC Chef School, he was called to serve under Master Chef Kondo at Yuzuan restaurant in Kochi, Japan from 1989-1992. Mr. Kondo is the master of Kansai style cooking, considered to be the high-end of Japanese cuisine. Terada earned the title Master Sushi Chef by becoming the standing head sushi chef & can serve Fugu (Japan Licensed) to the public.

Chef Hiroyuki Terada is using the Minonokuni Matsu-1573 210mm Yanagi. Super Blue Steel. Can also be used for breaking down whole fish and chickens. But normally for slicing, sashimi, vegetables, meat etc.. This is Chef Hiro's custom specked knife.

Love you both Hiro-san and Charles. Been watching for about 6 or 7 years now when you were in the kitchen. Then the move to this studio made things homely and peaceful. Here's to your new chapter and all it may bring!

I first was introduced to Hiro when I was looking for sushi videos to help me learn what it is and how to make it in 2015 when I got married. I believe my first video was Will it sushi McDonald’s Big Mac. I have been watching ever since along with Deer Meat for Dinner and Fisherman’s Life. I love this channel and it started my love for sushi.

Wow... Hiro I remember the moving video you did when you moved out from the apartment before the studio. It was sad but this move was even more sad. Master Hiro, if it weren't for you (and Charles) I wouldn't have found Mainelobsternow and Catalina OP, I wouldn't own my own Minonokuni Matsu Super Blue Steel beauty and I likely never would have had the knowledge enough to prepare my own sushi. This means I never would have made or tasted my most favorite fish in the world: Mt. Cook Salmon Sashimi.
No matter what, I'll never forget you and what you taught us. May the future world find you happy, Master Hiro!

End of an era, I always wanted to start my own home sushi channel so I could get big enough to get to work next to you guys guess that won't ever happen
I was afraid you were retiring. I was born in 1963, so we have a very similar age awareness of what has happened in the world since then. I'm not retiring soon and I'm happy you aren't either. Man, I really need to get some lobster!!! Look forward to next studio, I guess they don't have loft 15 story buildings in Florida like Fresno, but that is the view. Have fun dude. Hope to see you one day.
