That was such a great 3-way collab with you, Fisherman's Life, and Outdoor Chef's Life! It was so great to have you experiencing and showing off the wonderful bounty of my back yard. It shows why I choose to live here (and the good fortune to be born here).
This type of macho attitude animal hunting and eating meat always bring out the barbaric nature of human beings. Usually the Outdoor Chef Life guys is calm manners polite dude, but did you see when he caught the tuna and you saw his elation of excitement? In some sense this ideal animalistic persona is what he means when he compares that to a human flesh. Some Japanese people when talking about eating a huge octopus that probably lived long time talks about it probably ate dead human beings and excited about eating that octopus.
I was sitting at that bench on Shelter Island just a few weeks ago. Glad you guys were able to catch and eat such a beautiful fish in my home town of San Diego.
This looks freaking awesome chef! Both chefs are amazing and great job on the catch. Really like this perspective catch clean and cook. My fav I think. Great work and looks yummy 😋
Yall are amazing I would love to fish with yall down in South Padre Island. My uncle is a captain of a deep sea fishing boat and I would love for yall to come out and make some amazing sushi for us
Hiro, my friend, g11d aftern11n!!! What an awesome video... fishermen need a lot of patience. Here in Germany we have a saying, "Petri heil, nix am Seil", i. e. good luck... It was absolutely worth trying and you can't get fresher fish... ❤️🇯🇵❤️🇩🇪❤️🇺🇸❤️ I ❤️ 🍣 How do you know that the tuna is not infected by parasites?
when Mr. Terada started making the minced tuna roll I couldn't take it anymore and had to make a sandwich. I should eat before watching these. Thanks for the vid gentlemen.
Gracias por compartir estas cosas...Sigo el canal desde hace mucho tiempo y creo ue como muchas de las personas que estamos aqui, somos fanaticos de Hiro .Goodafternoon
Was Mark taking the plastics off the hooks over the edge of the boat? Looks like he grabs it and tosses it into the boat, but it also looks like some stray pieces fall into the water. Can't fully see where they land though
I tend to prefer the nontraditional inside out over maki. Alot of places here don't serve fast enough and the nori ends up getting chewy. I love how chef Hiro makes rolls, nothing but fish and avocado, no cucumber, no other nonsense. Clean flavors.
The top water worked !!! YES !!! I WAS ON A BITE JUST LIKE YOU GUYS WERE , FINELY WE CAUGHT ONE AND WE USED THE DEAD BAIT FROM THE TUNAS STOMIC AND THE TUNAS ATE THEM UP !!! 👍
Excellent location for fishing...been there, Mission Bay, a few times. Nice weather too for that 23' whaler. Want a nice place to stay while there, head over to the Del Coronado Hotel. It's been there for decades and is upper crust. Not far from Baja, CA where they have very good fishing waters. Wondering about the process, catch filet and then freeze or refrigerate to age it two days? P.S. Thanks for the good photography.
I'm a seaweed on the outside guy. I like the way it looks and tastes. I make makizushi both ways, rice on the inside and on the outside, but prefer the traditional ways as well. On a side note, I wonder if these guys have ever had a problem with parasites after eating so much raw fish? The FDA says that in order to kill the parasites found in most fish used for sushi, the fish must be frozen rock solid somewhere between 15 to 24 hours before being thawed and eaten raw. I've eaten some beautifully fresh Maguro and never had a problem with parasites, but no matter how fresh the fish, there's still a risk of ingesting parasites.
When he's filming Hiro why is he so reminiscent of the guy in "Casting Couch". He even sounds like him. He's like 'yeah right there Hiro hold that shot.' Hiro looks in the distance hotly embarrassed.
You guys should do meet and greets when you come to San Diego or another any other place. I work near the area you guys were I would of love to shake you guys hands and thank you for the videos you make.
Taku seems like such an amazing guy, i'm so happy for him and you guys that your channels are doing well and seeing how he made all this stuff for the videos and even brought food for you at the beginning, it warms my heart. Much love from Brentwood, Ca.
It is surprising that tuna schools can be existed like this near the coast in offshore. More surprising is the US fish protection policy. I respect that. If it were Asian countries, it would have already been caught everthing. Thank you for sharing. Heaven on earth.

ty Eric! you're very lucky...Cali is such a beautiful place...so many places to visit and to eat! Enjoy....

Most people at the beach: roll joints, & Blunts
But hero: rolls big sushi doinks😂
BRUH
Camera man always gave me a weird vibe then he said like human flesh now I defiantly know there is some weirdness lol
human flesh actually tastes more like bad chicken i think. there was a cannibal from japan living in france talking about this
Hes always sounded like a serial killer trying to blend in with normal people.
That weirdo.

Maybe he is not only a camera man but also a surgeon.

How do you know that the tuna is not infected by parasites?
They more than likely did a test on the tuna, but I may be wrong
They have trained eyes and get rid of all paricites
Herioki, That is some really fine tuna, wish I was there to taste it FRESH, KAMPAI , , Cheers from NJ
Thank you for being here
Damn you absolutely butchered the name
Wonderful and exciting video...everything looked sensational...really enjoyed this collaboration Chef...

Wait, did you dispatched ike-jime or you just let it suffocate to death? Did you bleed the tuna at least ?
