    Nicely done. Just a little friendly advice from a long time RC'er. Invest in a set of MIP hand hex drivers and you will really start enjoying disassebly/assembly and maintenance. You can get them as a set or 1 at a time in 1.5, 2.0, 2.5mm. Over the years I have acquired 2 sets of hand drivers and 1 set of drill drivers. Far more comfortable to use then the t handle or hex drivers supplied by Traxxas. Sharper too. No more rounded out screws. I have been into RC vehicles since 1986 and found these to be the best tool investment over everything else. Good Luck and have fun!

    • @RCKnockout
      @RCKnockout  2 года назад

      Thanks for the recommendation! How much do they cost? They don’t make a 1mm? I can’t stand rounding out screws

    • @toddrunion2
      @toddrunion2 2 года назад +1

      @@RCKnockout Individually the sell for @ $18.00 each or in a 3 piece set for @ $45.00 on Ebay. I find Ebay to have best prices for them. MIP does not make a 1.00mm. Smallest size needed for Traxxas as well as most other metric sized RC's is 1.5mm. Thats the size needed for the tiny grub screws like found in the pinion gear. IMHO if nothing else, the MIP 1.5mm is the most important size to own. The Traxxas supplied 1.5mm wrench just rounds out the grub screw easily.

    Nolan, just a question, are you absolutely sure the center torque bias diff is un upgrade from a slipper clutch WITH a metal spur gear? It feels like the slipper is designed to give in under extreme stress which would never happen with the diff as “the power will always go to at least one of the tires
    Absolutely awesome series!

    • @RCKnockout
      @RCKnockout  2 года назад

      Yeah a slipper is good in low powered applications but once you start increasing the power…..a center diff works much better at getting the power to the ground…..the slipper will just spin and wear the slipper clutch material down quickly and then need replacement…..slipper also tends to slip quite a bit more once it gets wet…..the center diff will just send the power to the wheels of least resistance which shouldn’t break anything….also you can change the fluid within a center diff to get more or less give out of it

    I think you'll need to explain what your interpretation of 'bashing' is? Because installing a center diff makes no sense to me, unless you plan on using it for track or tarmac racing.. And it won't protect your drivetrain on rough landings either. To avoid major damage you'll have to release the gas before impact.

    • @RCKnockout
      @RCKnockout  2 года назад

      I disagree….every rc I’ve put a center diff in has spared my diffs….I might need to put a thinner weight oil in but I think it’s a solid upgrade….look at the Xmaxx…….the v1 has a slipper….I was stripping diffs left and right…not to mention when it got wet the slipper clutch would just spin….Traxxas put a center diff in the v2…now the diffs hold up way better….all of my best bashing machines are running a center diff
