    One thing I really wanted to mention, I LOVE that you've been filming videos in HDR recently. Im sure it's very much appreciated by everyone else that has an HDR capable display. Please don't stop doing it! Thanks so much for all the work you put into this channel. Have a great day 😊

    I'll happily give you a "thumbs up"! I just got my Traxxis Slash Ultimate today and got the suspension setup and the batteries charged up for 3s running and ran a preliminary up and back a few down the alley to try it out! :):):):)... This evening after the rain lets up, going to take it to the ORV park and see what I need to know about this Beast! :)
    This thing is a lot of fun and puts a huge smile on your face! You have to understand that I've been watching RC videos for 10 years, trying to learn about this hobby and what I might want as first RC, and I'm 66 years old! I'll be picking up the Slash VXL 4x4 next month to add to this "thing" that has happened to me! ;)
    Your videos have been very, very helpful these last few weeks, Thanks for making them my friend! I've learned a lot from many in the comments section as well and many Thanks to those who contribute there as well!

      @@RCKnockout I also subbed to your channel! You have a lot to offer someone new to the hobby and I enjoy your easy going personality along with your knowledge base. This Slash Ultimate a lot of truck for a beginner, but I'm getting the hang of it alright... Haven't had a single bit of trouble from it, just runs like a beast right out of the gate and of course, have performed the "walk of shame" to either un-stick it or put it back on its wheels a "few" times! :) I'm going to pick up the Slash VXL model next, for the extra ground clearance. And look at turning it into a "Monster Version" of Slash. If you have time to offer any advice regarding that, I'll be glad to listen to it!

      @@rt66rc86 I feel like I don’t have that much knowledge lol……but I’m glad you’re liking the videos! I think you’ll definitely wanna go with some aftermarket driveshafts especially if you plan on putting larger tires onto it and making it into a monster slash

    Nice vid, great choice, in my option the wisest first upgrade for the truck, not only providing a metal spur but taking massive load off of driveshafts and diffs as well as then making it able to function on the track, cornering abilities and other

    I run my rustler 4x4 on 4s sometimes. It’s handy that it can use the same battery my xmaxx uses.

    • @RCKnockout
      @RCKnockout  2 года назад

      Yeah that would definitely be handy! How does the Rustler hold up to 4s power?

    • @BrianW2979
      @BrianW2979 2 года назад +1

      @@RCKnockout I haven’t had any problems with the gears, differentials or stock plastic axles. That being said, I do use it mostly for speed runs so I’m pretty easy on the throttle. I actually run it on 6s when doing speed runs and only 4s when doing test runs. I am running the Castle 1515 2200kv motor and Mamba Monster X esc. The motor and esc are a tight fit in the rustler 4x4 chassis, but I switched everything over to a slash low cg chassis for more stability at speed so there’s lots of room now. My original plan with switching to the slash chassis was so I could buy that aero kit you had for your slash. But after seeing how brittle it was I decided to just run the rustler body on the slash chassis without it.

    • @RCKnockout
      @RCKnockout  2 года назад +1

      @@BrianW2979 I gotcha…..I do like the Aero Kit on the Slash but as you saw in the videos it is very brittle….one crash and it’s broken

    Just started getting back into r/c. I'm old. Last one I owned was a Vanessa's Lunchbox. The first year it came out! 😂
    But recently bought a slash 4x4 2S BL. Liked your first two videos on upgrading yours. But I have a newfie question:
    Are the upgrades you're doing to your 3S able to be done with my 2S? And are they the same part numbers?
    I want to eventually upgrade mine to the 3S VXL but still getting good enough to be able to enjoy it fully.
    Subscribed btw!

    • @RCKnockout
      @RCKnockout  7 месяцев назад +1

      Appreciate it! They should all work for a BL-2 model….the chassis I believe is identical to the vxl-3s model….some parts I’ve put on might be lcg specific since I upgraded to the lcg chassis though

    Very interesting, doesn't seem to help much like it is, I have a $10 diff locker in mine that performs same as yours. I'd like to see you put much lighter oil in center diff.to where it doesn't wheelie, IMO your not getting the POWER transfer like it's meant to do. Thanks for your testing, sorry you had all that breakage.😜

    • @RCKnockout
      @RCKnockout  2 года назад +1

      Yeah I thought it would do a bit more…..the handling was definitely thrown off by the cracked front wheel and tire coming unglued….I might have to try lighter weight fluid….it power wheelies pretty easily right now
