The production quality of this video is higher than some of those channels with 30k and such subs. Very nice presentation. I really did wonder how much the plastic housings weigh vs just the aluminum. I suspect the brass portal boxes are responsible for most of the weight increase. Which is why I opted to get just those. I felt the aluminum housings were pricey. But they do make it look more premium.
Thank you so much for your kind words! You are right about the brass portal covers. They bring the most of the additional weight. But the alu axles just look fantastic.
Love your production quality, clarity, and pacing. I have a hard time with the overstimulating, loud music and quick cuts style that a lot of folks have (no shade to them, just not for me). Your style is exactly what I enjoy watching! Thank you, my man--subscribing!
Your videos are so awesome. Some day I hope I can get even 50% as polished. Love the deadpan humor. Your mossy forest is such a great place to visit, even if it's only virtually for me. 👍👍
Thank you very much for watching and the amazing comment! Yes, I am lucky to have such a spot like this forest right at my door step. But I am sure you have such a special place, too. A place where you like to be and drive with your crawlers. And who knows: maybe someday all the @fairrc roundup will meet somewhere and do a crazy crawler event on a very special place😀
Lovely review of these beautiful upgrades! Now it seems the suspension articulation needs to be improved. Do you have any solution to help with more suspension droop and flex? Perhaps softer springs…or longer travel shocks?
Thanks for watching! To be honest, for me, the articulation of the suspension on this truck is all I need. Injora shocks are used and, while not perfect, they work good enough for my style of driving (but your mileage may vary, of course).
This doubel the price of the truck an its not necessary for a nice performance the stock have.A good set of rims and tires and brass wheeladapters front make me more happy.I see you make the Hobby Plus promotion Videos too, cool!I you want show the performance of the metal axels make a "versus" too a stock truck, but its hard time because the stock is so good!
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! As I sayd in the video, that - from a performance perspective - the axles are not a great upgrade. But they look amazing and sometimes that counts more then the last bit of performance. What hopup part is "really" necessary? It all depends on the terrain one intends to use the car. If you are a driver who takes part in some competitions, well then you will need some upgrades (within the rules of the competition). If you are a pure hobbyiest you may have fun with the car in its pure stock condition.
Great video Armin, love the studio shots (even though the hairs and fluff were very distracting, I struggle with these too) I am not sure if I will get the axels for mine but it is very tempting as you say... they do look amazing! I have just fitted the metal gears to my Trail Hunter and my free mods have helped climb and stability. I defintely want wheels and tryes for it next though 😉 TTFN Dwight RC Daddy Reviews
Thanks for watching and for the comment. At first I thought you meant my hair (the ones on my head), but then I realized you meant the little hairs on the presentation plate. 😀 The axles are really cool. Ok, the gain in performance may be little but they look amazing! I have to check out your vids about the T-Hunter to see what mods you did to it.
Hello, new subscriber here. Do you put any sealant on the diff cover and axle to protect it from water getting in? Do you think that's something to worry about?
First of all, let me thank you for your support! It is highly appreciated! 🙏 Regarding the axles or how I protect them: well, I put a lot of marine grease inside the diff housing. This I do for my 1/10 scale crawlers too and it works great (adds a little weight to it as well) 😀
Dear Armin, good day. Amazing video in general and pleasure to watch and listen you. Everything is so clear and exactly for topic. Just subscribed and will wait for the new episodes. May I kindly ask, are you purchasing the parts directly from the links provided in description? I did not tried yet, and curious how long approximately it takes before they are arriving to Germany from Fairrc Much appreciate and kind regards from Hamburg area Danylo
Thank you very much for watching and the great comment! My experience with Fair RC (@fairrc) is an absolutely positive one. I've never had any problems and the delivery time is about 10 days (give or take one or two days). If you buy through my affiliate links I'll get a small compensation which would be a great support for the channel. But you may, of course, buy otherwise or from any other seller. It is up to you! Thanks for your support anyway! 🙏
@@arminrc Dear Armin, Much appreciate for the detailed feedback. Whole weekend watched your great channel and thank you also for no-language content (both in German and English). Beside it is simply pleasure to view it about RC hobby, I found it great even for language educational purpose :) Appreciate also for the clarification about the links in the description. I was curious why they are a bit strange and not directly showing the name of the Fairrc. Now it is clear Liebe Grüße Danylo
Hello, arminRC! I am actually new to this hobby. I am interested in purchasing the CR18P EVO and wanted to know about those axles you put on your CR18P. Would they be compatible with the EVO? Also, where is a good place to shop online for parts without breaking the bank? Thank you! I really enjoy watching your videos! Take Care!!
Hi! Welcome to the hobby! 😀 About the axles: I do not know for sure if they fit the EVO but they should because the overall specs did not change (wheel base for example). Parts for the CR18P you may get from fairrc.com. Check it out.

I concur. I'm also getting fed up with all the noisy RC channels. It's nice just to watch someone enjoying their hobby.
I'm subscribing too. 👍

If the plastic spindle piece broke then this is a great upgrade, this axle has that piece built in.
