As someone from the U.S. I can only imagine seeing medieval castles such as this. I've always loved history, the older, the better. Thanks for giving us these tours, this place was one of my faves so far!!! JUST AMAZING 😍
You two definitely need to stay together as a team. You both compliment each other beautifully. Leslie, with his almost child like exuberance, and Danny, with his more level headed approach, freely daring to contradict or correct Leslie whenever he disagrees, but in such a gentle way…Leslie is such a sweet and humble young man, but they both work great together. Love them both!
An absolutely fascinating abandoned palace! I love the precious luxurious interior design, the impressive works of art and all the other exquisite artifacts that make truly a museum out of this wonderful place! I love that art, style ,history, family and tradition are always the core of any Italian house.😍 You were great, guys, as always! Thank you for this lovely exploration !
It makes me so sad to see all the stuff left behind. It should be in a museum, the paintings all the weaponry. Lesley and Danny, this was so well done. You really did an outstanding job as always thank you. Sending love and California vibes from LIZ.🤟🏻💜😎💕🇺🇸
Hi Lesley & Danny....😉 Abandoned Noble Italian Palace & Medieval Weapons @ 5:26 the Painting is on Paper Attached to the Wood Underneath that Termites are Getting! Chandeliers 7, 2 Bathrooms, Beautiful Drapes Covering the Windows, 2 Unique Chairs @ 50:50 Hallway/Gallery!! 2 Certificates, 1 Master Bedroom & 7 Childrens Beds!! Thanks Lesley for Your Narrating & Danny for Filming!!❤ Have a Safe Travel to Your Next Journey & Love You Both!!❤ Love Barb from Central Illinois USA❣
The raised floor of Italian villas is called the “piano nobile”, meaning noble floor where the rich would have both their bedrooms and their living rooms. That’s why you often see an ornate external staircase leading to the raised floor on the facade of Italian villas, so they never needed to enter the ground floor where the staff worked.
I stayed in an Italian villa built in the 1700s, and it had a split ornate front staircase that lead to the living floor, as you described. The room it went to was gigantic with tall ceilings.
Similar to many of the "brownstones" and other historical townhouses of NYC, Boston, Charleston, etc, but especially NYC. You had a "garden" floor that contained servants areas and sometimes recreational facilities, depending on how large the house was, located at ground level or maybe slightly sunken. Above this, on the second floor level was the main or "parlour" floor, where the formal spaces were. On the one - three floors above the parlour floor, the bedrooms and any more private spaces were. Many surviving brownstones retain this arrangement of floor levels, except the individual floor layouts by-and-large have been modernized
The royal beauty of the architecture and and furniture is luxurious and beautiful. Facinating that people lived with such splendor and beauty. It is amazing to see so much perfection in their furnishings. Thank you for allowing us to see it. Love to you from New Mexico
I did a quick search about the lamp at 44:07. Grappa del Contadino made speciality spirits; I particularly liked the name of one of their wines: Gusto Morbido. I am assuming the oil lamp is an example of advertising gear for pubs and restaurants.
This exploration is absolutely INCREDIBLE! Just the amount of WEALTH THAT EUROPEAN PEOPLE leve behind is astounding!! I wish we had places like this in America, the culture is classical 👍😊 Great work Lesley and Danny
@GodisPerfect All of these earthly treasures that remain in the dust here..will be once again restored back to their original homes of all the family lineages when God makes Heaven on earth and He returns to live amidst His chosen Israelite tribes who built and were blessed in all the dwelling places of ancient Christendom! Don’t be sad..believe 🙏🏻✨
You guys are so lucky to get to visit these amazing hidden gems as a profession, and your channel is definitely one of the most professional I've ever seen. I'm so grateful for you guys and your fellow explorers for bringing us these breathtaking images of crumbling edifices which would otherwise just be left to rot away into nothingness completely unbeknownst to everyone. Not to mention the stories of the people who inhabited these locations, whose lives would likely be forgotten by all but perhaps what family members or friends they left behind. If my home had to be abandoned and my things left behind after I pass, I would love for respectful and passionate individuals such as yourselves to discover it and record your findings and speculations about me, the person who left it all behind.Thank you for giving these special buildings one last hurrah and making us feel like honored guests at the party. Keep up the excellent work, fellas 😉💜
i'm one of the continuance followers of your channel, and still can't understand where did those people go?! how did they leave this treasure which worth hundreds of millions and vanish leaving everything behind as simple as this?! strange!! a palace built 600 years ago and never been empty until 30 years ago!! wow... amazing
Another fine job Leslie and Danny. You two are so lucky to view such homes. I still wonder where did they go. There must be some of these people still alive to take over these fine homes. The antiques will drive you crazy to see them rotting away. Its just so sad. I would love to have some of these paitings hanging on my walls. We will wait for next weeks film. Stay safe you two and thank you once again.
This is the best video on your channel so far. What a gem, like a museum! Here there are antiques and curiosities worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. Cheers from Norway!
Danny and Leslie thank you for making this video come to life. I love the way you guys talk. You make it all sound so fascinating. I marvel at how people can just abandon their homes and leave everything behind. It’s amazingly that people don’t just come in off the streets and steal the expensive furniture and sell it.
This is one of my favorites abandoned Palace that you have explored. We have seen the journey of this house from 1400 to 1900. I enjoyed so much the displays from 1400. The weapons and the paintings of the earliest owners of the house. I think one of the original owner could be a knight. The floorings are still the original, the furniture are still in good shape. The older the displays the more i am interested to see. Thank you Leslie and Danny. I enjoyed this video.
Thank you so much for the respect and privacy you show, it is important that people who are not as like minded do not know where these places are. As someone who resides in Australia, there history is…well…not that old, I get such a buzz out of you showing places that at my age I, nor the world, would never get the chance to see. A lovely job guys as usual, thank you again😊
That was incredible. Nothing vandalized, looks like everything is still in its proper place. Hard to believe that is still so authentic. Thank you for sharing that with us, we are so lucky!
It was a great video, breath taking beautiful pieces! It almost appeared to be the same wood on that longer dining room table as the bed and dresser etc. It had a runner on it. I could be wrong, maybe it was just the dust on it🤷♀️ But the entire palace was awesome. I love you two!💜 You do a great job. I love that you look at pretty things in the cabinets. And you give us a significant amount of time to see and enjoy things too. ❤ Keep safe. God bless
What an amazing Palace! Love the displays of the weapons! The simplicity of most of the furnishings and all of the art work is truly beautiful! I hope this palace gets saved and restored! Thanks for sharing this amazing palace!
Wow, my favorite is the matching furniture in the master bedroom & dining hall, i would love to have that! The paintings & ancient weapon are so amazing as well. Thank you for sharing !
Hermoso video, el diálogo entre ustedes durante el recorrido es delicioso y nos lleva a sentirnos parte del mismo. These huge old structures should be rehabbed. They would make great wedding and event destination rentals. It's better than letting them go to ruin. Like that chateau in France on HGTV. That place is awesome.

So true, for the finest example see the Caserta Palace. It's all about those grand entries leading to the upstairs and a massive staircase.
Nobile is my Family Name from Giulianova Italy Province of Abruzzo.
Same in England and many other places: two floors and multiple stairways... Servants working in the basement and sleeping in the attic...
