    I would agree that strength training would be more preferable as it is a lot more enjoyable for me as well. I started more than a year ago because I wanted to learn the advanced skills and now that still motivates me

    This is awesome! Thank you! As a girl i‘m a bit annoyed that most female fitfluencers focus so hard on the idea of looking a certain way rather than feeling strong and being healthy. I‘ll look into Calisthenics! ❤

    Hey Austin. If we're speaking strictly calisthenics and I want the benefits of hypertrophy and strength training, would you say it's better to do 2 hypertrophy sets and 2 strength based sets or hybrid them in every set like controlling the negatives and being explosive on positives up until muscle failure?

    You mentioned strength and CNS adaptations are slow, but to be honest... building muscle is much slower. Strength gains you can "measure" and notice on a wekk to week and month to month basis. Muscle building, other than 1st yr noobie gains takes a LOT of time to build and even notice...

    Strength all the way. Building muscle is great but as we age it all falls to the gut. Strength is consistent through the years regardless of size. IMHO

    • @distortion4222
      @distortion4222 Год назад +3

      Hmm I've seen a lot of guys over 50, 60 who are in risiciolus shape muscle wise. Strenght is easier to maintain in my opinion because its not that much dependant on nutrition but hypertrophy and muscularity and low body fat is harder because if u want it u need to eat super clean but with that being said its possible to be in ridiciolus shape and low body fat even if u are very old but u must eat clean theres no other way around it.

    • @searcher3x
      @searcher3x Год назад +2

      @@distortion4222 I have to eat as clean as possible due to medical reasons. I was referring more to friends I have. I do have an intensive push up regimen. I'm almost 50 yet I have more overall strength than men younger than me. I should have been more clear. I dropped a lot of weight due to diet and push ups alone. The reason for the push ups is I can do them anywhere at anytime.

    • @searcher3x
      @searcher3x Год назад +3

      @@thechosenone93 Over time it breaks down and while upper body gets smaller the gut gets fatter. Unless you're always in the gym. This isn't as much of an issue with people under 45 or so.
