      You should really consider studying a little bit of histology and physiology of the muscle, so that you understand what hypertrophy means and what motor unit recruitment has to do with strength and muscle growth.

Comparing yourself to a 35 year old who’s been training for 20 years will never look good for you. Just focus on you and as you continue your journey focus on your own improvements.

      @BowesEsq2 5 лет назад +2

      Extremely important . . . especially as we age. But, it looks like the BDs do some static stretching before dynamic stretches/warm-ups. If so, that risks injury (as evidenced by my torn meniscus while doing the pigeon pose pre-CF comp) and reportedly inhibits one subsequent strength training session. See e.g., breakingmuscle.com/fitness/static-stretching-before-during-and-after-lifting. I'm going to try to integrate my static stretching into my cool down routine. But, always open to new info.

    You can combine the workouts also! In your workout day start off with a strength based exercise and then move up to hypertrophy ones. You'll be stronger, bigger, and the muscles will probably also look better in comparison to other natural lifters who only train for muscle size, cause youre getting different kinds of hypertrophy for your muscles, taking the best of both worlds.

    When you say bodybuilders aren't that strong. It's a bit like saying an 800m runner isn't that fast, because your benchmark of a fast runner is the 100m athlete. However if a 800m specialist was challenged to a 100m sprint by 99.999999% of the population, they would undoubtedly win.
    Same with a bodybuilder, in a 100kg(bar and 2 plates each side) benchpress max rep competition they would beat 99.999999% of the population, and also possibly most powerlifters. As powerlifters aren't used to handling the pain of lactic acid.

      Yes mate I can 100kg very easy as I use it for my slow presses where I hold at the bottom for 5 seconds then push slow
      And most guys I train with can’t do 80 on slow never mind 100 and they weigh it where I’m 80kg

      @Jah Allah Yes but this is not true strenght REAL strenght is explosiveness endurance is cool but yeah in most sports you need to have endurance tho if you're explosiv as fuck you're gonna be successful in most sports (basketball,american football,every fighting sports, every athletism related sports, except the ones that are speficically about endurance,gymnastics,climbing etc...)in every sports endurance and strenght endurance is what separates a beginner from an experienced but what separates the good from the great is gonna be explosiv power

    strength workouts with lesser reps probably 8 or lesser reps had given me the muscle thickness and size(Fullness)
    and working out with higher reps 8+ reps had given me muscle definition but i also include- Time under tension, Peak pause contractions, Pre-exhaust workoutd and so on which actually have helped me a lot.

      Jeff at Athlean X has done a video. If you're interested in it you should check out "The Colorado Experiment". It was done back in the 70's. The guy did 1 set to failure in the 15-20 rep range for a full body workout, only twice a week. He gained 63lbs of muscle. Tim Ferriss replicated to see if it would work for him (a true hard gainer). He put on 34lbs of muscle in 28 days. They used time under tension exclusively for those 15-20 rep ranges and the workouts only lasted 32 minutes. Tim Ferriss included the entire experiment he did for himself in The 4 Hour Body and there is also an article floating around on the internet titled Geek to Freak that details it as well.

      Try engaging your core and have perfect form, from the breathing, diaphragm, etc you're overstressing /overcharging your body . It can happen but take care to shouldn't be permanent

    • @duhvakiin3467
      @duhvakiin3467 6 лет назад +1

      First of all, please at least see a General Physician regarding this problem. There are different types of hemorrhoids and most of them are an extension of rectal mucosa. When you're lifting heavy, the hemorrhoids might protude more than normal because you're engaging your core to a certain extent and therefore increasing your intra abdominal pressure which pushes the hemorrhoid out.

    A big muscle is a strong muscle. A strong muscle is a big muscle. No one that benches 315 has a small chest. If you're early enough in your lifting journey that you're struggling with chasing size or strength...choose strength. You'll still be much bigger than you are by the time you finish a novice program and have the strength base to make a more informed decision later on.

    • @amirpalamar7133
      @amirpalamar7133 6 лет назад +1

      Filepe Daniels I started with chasing size and it honestly worked out better for me. Tbh I’d skip the big three workouts (bench, deadlift and squats) they’re more so a test of strength than necessary to build size or strength. Better off using machines and dumbbells.

    • @filepedaniels5817
      @filepedaniels5817 6 лет назад +3

      Amir Palamar It honestly depends on your goals, but IMO building a strong basic strength foundation with Bench, Squat, Deadlift, OHP and a vertical pull like chinups or pullups sets you up for success. Getting respectable in those lifts takes maybe 6-12 months for most lifters. In that time the accumulation of strength and knowledge makes your next goal much easier to acheive.

    • @amirpalamar7133
      @amirpalamar7133 6 лет назад +1

      Filepe Daniels if that works for you that great, I just know from my personal experience, some research and the opinions and experiences of the more athletic coaches I’ve had the big three are points, and personally my left elbow is shit so a lot of body weight stuff isn’t a possibility for me long term because it wears it down (I’ll do set of pull-ups or pushups, etc here and there for fun, but I can’t do several sets otherwise my elbow starts giving out and makes other workouts impossible). I personally found machines and dumbbells to maximize my results, and currently only use the bar for standing press and forearm curls. Plates I’ll use for shoulders and abs as well, but that’s about it. It’s not that I can’t do the other shit either (last time I did a deadlift it was 425 which was awhile ago, could almost definitely pull more now. Squat was in a similar place and bench I haven’t tried maxing in over a year). I just think there’s an unwarranted over popularity with a lot of these workouts that are more a test of strength rather than an optimal strength or size builder

    • @filepedaniels5817
      @filepedaniels5817 6 лет назад

      Amir Palamar no doubt. There are multiple paths to a goal and some people get there in ways that rewrite the norms. Coleman liked to lift very heavy. Arnold loved pullups and dips. I’m no absolutist.

    • @jasoncookman3158
      @jasoncookman3158 6 лет назад +1

      I started lifting weights just over 4 months ago using a 5*5 3 time a week routine I found somewhere online. It progresses if I can do all 25 reps. My muscles don't seem to match the rate that the weight goes up for all the exercises though so I can't honestly increase the weight anymore for a few of the exercises ( alsp because I'm not able to do them correctly). I've had to stay at a weight for them for a few weeks. I'm feeling like I'm not getting stronger but then again when I look back through my notebook at 4 months ago, I was lifting 95 lbs for the deadlift and now I'm at 305! So I don't know. It's getting somewhat boring but I look ok compared to back then. I'm not sure what I'm expecting. I probably have a fear that I will soon get to a point where I cannot increase any more and then I won't know what to do for exercise!
