I’m going through this process of figuring out my exit. I know for a fact I want a divorce, and the feeling of shame because I don’t have kids is a mountain I’m trying to climb and overcome. Please pray for me. Being 32, it’s super overwhelming because you feel your time ticking away, but I would never want to bring a child into chaos and unhappiness. May Allah swt alleviate all of our pain and grant us relief.

Yes!!!! 1. Things don’t “go wrong” when you get a divorce. In the end, often, it just comes down to two people who aren’t compatible!!! If they are then they will figure it out and Allah let’s you divorce multiple times and get back together. But mostly it’s just two people who aren’t symbiotic!
And 2. “It’s more important that her parents are in a good relationship than together.” YESSSSS GIRL!!!! THIS!!!! To all kids!!!! I grew up with parents that should have got a divorce and that pain was SO DEEP!!!!
Absolutely not!!! It’s no secret you can know someone for 10 years and not know them until you marry them. Happens all the time. There are things they hide/fail to share or insidious beliefs that creep up or they just change. We were NEVER meant to avoid divorce. It’s a part of life and a necessary one at that. The whole problem is peoples view of divorce, like this some terrible thing. No!! Being stuck with a life you hate is terrible. Sleeping around for decades is terrible. Just live life and divorce when necessary. Divorce is easy on Islam. The west made it a ridiculous thing!!!

First 5yrs of marriage is difficult, specially if there's kids. I "hated" her.😂 Now going on 12yrs. I'm glad we stuck through it. Divorce should be the absolute last resort
I just found you and I'm so glad I did. I've never related to something more than this. Im also an avoudant when it comes to things like this. When my divorce happened I didn't have time to have a breakdown. I just kept going and doing what needed to be done. I never allowed myself to heal because I was so scared I was going to have a nervous break down if I stopped enough to process what happened. It wasn't until pandemic when I was forced to slow down and I had my break down. Cried, reflected, journaled, did my affirmations, healed my inner child. Working on my worthiness is an everyday challenge. But I'm getting there day by day. My advice to others going through this, pls allow yourself to grieve. The grieving process will allow you to heal and reclaim your sense of worth. When you're to ashamed to admit to divorce, it's a sign you haven't processed it yet.

There’s definitely a toll for being a single parent vs a single mom. Having someone to help you in any way makes a difference. When I divorced it took me soooo long to accept it. Almost embarrassed to say how long it took me to divorce my ex husband but I finally did it. Alhamdulillah

I’m sorry abyo! I’m in my late 20’s and never married. The only thing I had a problem is overthinking what it will look like my life with my partner coz I don’t like divorce due to a trauma of my mother as my father couldn’t manage their marriage after 27yrs with 10+ beautiful kids 😭! All are encouraging me to get marry at least for testing myself and get divorce if it didn’t worked me well! My heart shall never accept until I will met with my soulmate naturally! Those who have good ❤️ will one day be in good life, please do a lot of istiqfaar du’a insha Allah.

I left my ex husband when I was 8.5months pregnant and finalized the divorce when my baby was 5months old. I completely relate to u when u say how scared u r and not know how u will get through, but Alhamdulilah 2years on and I look back feeling so happy and grateful for our beautiful life. Allah swt continue to make things so good and so easy for us. Ameen!

Divorce is never easy no matter the circumstance,especially when children are involve because you have to continue communicate with each other for sake of the child, now when you dont have kids its much better you have no need to talk when that chapter is over its over you can work soully on self, at least for me that how i got over mind and i also move from where i was to another down it felt good.

I got a divorce two years ago. My husband was abusive he didn't want me to visit my family. I got out when he kicked me on the face when I woke him up to talk to his mother who had just broken her coller bone. I left n never looked back thank God for my mother n father they supported me. Family is everything I have never been happy Alhamdulilah I got up before I lost myself

I’m going through this now. We have a 13 year old son. The first time “divorce” was spoken, I was very immature and made lots of threats to him about never letting him see his child and fighting for everything. It was my way to manipulate the situation. Now I regret it. I have found out I still love him enough to want him to be happy and apparently I can’t. So I’d rather swallow my pride and be his best friend so our son still has his father and mother loving and caring and providing for him. He has another girlfriend now I make myself have a relationship with her and respect his decision because he works almost all day and she is the one taking care of our son. I my son decide if he liked her or not. Never spoke ill of her in-front of our son. I’m happy because we actually have a lot in common. I’ve been blessed having her co-parent with us
My daughter went throw the same thing feeling not normal like all her friends but now she is dealing with it better just give her extra love from u and ur family and never ever talk bad about her dad let her see things for her self girls that come from single mothers are the most strongest and indépendant girls trust me she will be ok Incha allah Im ok now after 15 year marriage it took me 2 years to fully feel ok with the divorce loads of dua prayer helps xx

Divorce is really hard and the stigma, especially when a woman asks for divorce.It was the toughest time of my life I honestly nearly died. Glad to see anyone whose come through and are ok.

As someone who went through a separation in 2016, then again in 2018-19, culminating in a divorce in 2020 (which my case has still dragged on to this day), im happy for you. My experience has been the complete opposite. I feel like im only starting to rebuild my life again, while also mourning the fact that ive already lost five years of my life.

Just cause you get divorced people think you’re a lesser of a human being. They it’s better for you to live in misery than get divorced. They doubt your decision to find a better man and live a better life. Allah already said he will provide for them from sources they could never imagine. And whoever puts their trust in Allah, then He ˹alone˺ is sufficient for them. Certainly Allah achieves His Will. Allah has already set a destiny for everything. I’m a living proof of this alhamdulilah. We need to move on and find something to do in-order to move on otherwise we will always contemplate on the past.
