Some trips are more impactful than others and this is certainly one of those trips. We covered an amazing variety of terrain and were put to the test when Scott's jeep almost rolled into a ravine. I'll be telling stories about this one for years!
Thank you for your beautiful video! Your footage is really beautiful and shows the terrain, I really appreciate your footage because you go on excellent adventures, serious adventures, and you don't get caught up on cool gear reviews, fancy meals, etc ... Thank you so much for sharing!!
Really well done Mike. Having been there for the experience, I don't think it's possible to do a better job telling the story and sharing the experience and beauty of the area with others.
Absolutely a stellar trip and what an amazing spot. You both rocked it and I would agree that is probably one of the best camping spots in Oregon. Very well filmed and put together, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a story that goes well with a cup of coffee in the morning again Great Trip and Great Job in sharing the story in a very entertaining way it's one of the best trips I've watched in a while. 👍 God Bless
What an epic video! Southeast Oregon is such a treasure chest of amazing scenery. And the recovery section was phenomenal. Great to see how you both stayed calm and worked the problem. Well done!!
Thanks Stefan! Love this part of the state. Scott is a great trail mate and we make a great team. We always seem to make it through things! Much appreciated my friend!
I have to say you are very inspiring and I appreciate the great content! I had been following you since the beginning and when I noticed you hadn’t posted anything in a couple years it was hard to accept lol but now it seems that your content is only better and I’m glad your back! Keep up the great adventures! I would love to see a walk around Jeep video in the near future with all your updated gear and Jeep build! Can’t wait for next one!
My friend, your comment really means a lot and much appreciated! I was promoted at work and had to pause on making videos. I was still able to get out just didn’t have the time to make videos unfortunately. I’m planning a rig walk around video soon. Lots of changes over the years and lessons learned on the build. I’ll likely include my friend Scott’s Jeep build too. Thanks again for your comment my friend!!
@ hey brother well congratulations on the promotion! Maybe one day I can meet up with you in an adventure. I’m in Texas but definitely need to go to OR.. and yes would love to see both jeeps on the video!
What an awesome adventure! I have such a fear of shelf roads, I was on the edge of my seat watching the recovery. Great filming as usual. The drone shots were all incredible. Glad you were able to recover the drone👍.
Thank you! I’m not particularly thrilled with shelf-roads either but always seem to find myself on one, ha! Always enjoying seeing your comment. Happy trails to you and your husband my friend!
Much appreciated my friend! This one definitely had us on edge but Scott and I work well together. We made it out ok, gained experience, discovered areas to improve, and made a great story to tell! A great trip!
I love watching your videos because of the adventures and the beautiful scenery... This one really had me on edge! Looking forward to the next one! Thanks for posting!
I can’t say I’d blame you! There’s actually a spot on a hilltop overlooking this spot that is easy to get to. A few years ago the plan was to camp on that hilltop but after seeing a road leading to this spot we couldn’t resist giving it a try. We probably have a few screws loose, ha!
Fantastic video. I really enjoyed it. Can I ask what size tires you fellas are running? just trying to see what my 23 JLUR 3.6 e-torque on 35s no lift can do without issue. Cheers from Ontario, Canada
Hello my friend from Canada! We are both running 37’s and MetalCloak suspensions. Scott has the 3.5” Long Arm and I have the 3.5” Rocklander/Overland. I did a similar route in this video 4 or 5 years ago when my Rubicon was stock and it did great. The upgraded suspension is certainly noticeable but a stock jeep is very capable. You’ll do great with 35’s. Let me know if you have any other questions my friend! I really enjoy helping others out where I can. Happy trails!
Thanks my friend! We’re both carrying 12 gallons of gas. He has (3) 4-gallon cans and I have (4) 3-gallon cans. We both have the 2.0 Turbo engines and don’t see much difference in gas mileage with altitude changes.

That's a beautiful campsite, but having seen this I don't think I could be convinced to drive out there!
Hey Rob! It’s doable but definitely sketchy! Just watched your Desert Season: From Deep Snow to Deep Sand video…very nice!
Probably not with the full-size but you could do it in your jeep fo sho

Thanks Jen! Really appreciate your comment. We just got back from another amazing trip. My mind was blown on this one. Oregon never ceases to amaze!
Once again, SE Oregon has me smitten for adventuring the area. Great video and great recovery 😎👍
It’s an amazing place for sure! Thanks my friend!
Really well done Mike. Having been there for the experience, I don't think it's possible to do a better job telling the story and sharing the experience and beauty of the area with others.
Thanks Scott! It was an incredible experience and thankful it was you and me out there!

Thanks my friend! It’s great to be back!
Great video as always. Well done keeping your heads about you when things got sketchy, though given your background I'd expect nothing less!

Great video! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks my friend!
@ I will not be attempting that campsite in my truck after watching this, holy crap!
@@dad_wagon1976 that would be serious challenge in a full-size for sure!
Oh man ... first two minutes this looks great. 🤙
Thanks my friend! This is one I'll be talking about for years!
영상이 정말 제 취향입니다. 너무 재미있게 보고 갑니다. 한국에서~~
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you my friend from Korea!!
Great video and great story. I would have walked home. I don't like that sketchy road.😂

Man....that was close!
I keep telling myself no more shelf roads…but somehow we always end up on one, ha!
In that situation i will take driver side air out.. I enjoy watching it.
Yep, great idea and thats what we did. He was down to around 8-10 psi on the drivers side. Thanks for sharing my friend!

@@OverlandScout81 Thank you for the quick reply. It helps. :)
Awesome trip! Two questions? How much extra fuel were in those roto pax? And do you get better mileage at altitude?

as long as someone else is driving ....
