Peter love what your doing and watching for over 5 years now. I’m not surprised that your videos are a smash and your channels blowing up. Born and raised in California, enjoying your CA adventures. Keep on doing what your doing and stay safe my friend.
How much weed do you have to grow to buy a town😂. I'm not hating and actually very jealous of your lifestyle. I would love to be part of such a good community. Saving your neighbors houses from fires, my neighbors won't even offer to help you put a gate up or fence that borders both of our properties.
I quit watching the video I was watching as soon as I saw the notification. Love your videos. I love your personality and free range storytelling. You and the people you interview are much appreciated
America 🇺🇸 big country really is the Land of dreams . Mr. Donald Trump ❤ will make America 🇺🇸 great again and for the American people you deserve the best & the world is smiling too
Many parts of California are the complete opposite of what Southern California Cities present. Thank you for shining a light on good people in beautiful communities who actually love the land and want nothing but the best for our state. ❤
Have no words, can't even begin to explain how Awesome that lifestyle seems to me. Just Absolutely Love It ❤ This is no doubt the way to go for humanity, small smart community's .........
Brent Underwood, he’s a former investment banker who’s a partner in a company called Brass Check that offers marketing services to authors and publishers. A few years ago, he successfully started and ran one of the highest rated hostels in America with his business partner Jon Brier. A few years after that, with the help of some other investors, they stumped up almost 1.5 million bucks and bought Cerro Gordo.- “ready to be rented by groups for corporate events, photography expeditions, writers retreats, music festivals, masterminds, and more”
Watching now, very cool. This is like Sim City with an unlimited money cheat code applied. This would be awesome to do, but I think it's only possible if you have a ton of money. He's basically replicated an entire municipalities worth of services and infrastructure.. none of that is cheap.
It's so weird how 20 years ago I only would want to live in a city...now, this is the dream...but he's right, it is harder than it looks...but damn, that looks fun.
In my area, there was quite a push to be part of the state of Jefferson! In fact, one local business that is supportive, is right down the street from me, and my youngest son is related to a certain family, but never met them.
You know, I said that I would never EVER live in California. I even said you could NOT pay me to live in that state; my wife and I are looking for a new challenge. We'll do the challenge!
I've lived in Humboldt 31 years and never had heard of cecilville until today! I've got today off i'm tempted to drive out there and say what's up haha
The good life now I would be interested to see you linking up with the van life movement as a home base provider, but that could bring issues with outsiders coming in but it could also bring a small income as well to area. But you got a little Eden.
When I was a child (59 now) in the 70’s my grandma had two gold mining claims (Last Hope & Ray #1) near Forks of the Salmon and Cecilville. I never knew what happened to the claims. I do now, thank you for the information. thank you Peter!
Please get in touch with Brent. His RUclips channel is called Ghost Town Living. He owns an abandoned mining town called Cerro Gordo. I’m sure he would love to show you around! 🙌🏻
My grandfather started the Carpenters Union back in Pittsburgh and I have been swinging a hammer since I could hold one. Over the next 37 years of my life, I have acquired several skills above that and have been traveling all over the US working in the hospitality industry and carpentry industry. I'm just finishing up a contract in Texas at a beautiful place called Blisswood bed and breakfast where my duties range from fixing a toilet or hot water heater. Framing a house. Fixing a roof to guiding horseback rides feeding And taking care of animals. Leading safaris, teaching, archery and trap. Trap shooting to then being booked to play a private show at the guest's house. Campfire side as a singer-songwriter musician
Hello Peter, I watched you all the time. I recently emailed you about something I enjoy your videos about the Native American reservations, Amish, and the Switzerland perspective. Have you been to Louisville ky?
This video needs a quick summary explaining where the money came from for this community. There has to be a lot more to this story than just a small community of “us.” There’s big money invested in this operation…where’s the money from? This smells of billionaire kids turn feral or something?
You should visit IOWA HILL in California. Visit a lady named Kathy Morgan (Catherine) she is the town matriarch. Living off the grid, she's done it all. Older lady who's hunted, skinned animals, you would love her outbuildings. Not worth a drive unless you're already sorta near Sacramento. It's in between Sacramento and Reno off Hwy 80. We used to own land there
No matter how primitive they live, they still have to have a substantial amount of money to support this lifestyle. He said he paid over $20,000 in property taxes in one year. He also talks about buying all of the property around him. What does he do for a living this far out?
This dude is Groovy as ever I love this guy probably my favorite person you've interviewed and had on this series jerry Garcia that's awesome New favorite word gutter punks
Thanks for watching!

No
I can't move there I'm just an out doorsy person that loves nature 🍄🟫 and people but I live by the book 📖 Jesus Christ
Peter your videos are second to none, thank you and please never stop.
I'm amazed he wanted all of this info on the internet
Right, like some kind of dog whistle for crazies
I like this california series you are doing. I was born and raised here in NorCal and still never heard of some of these places you go.
I see several million dollars in improvements in and around that town which means somebody with a lot of money is keeping that dream alive.
Someone got a nice generational inheritance 🤑🤑
@@Group_Anonymous whatever the reason, what you do with it DOES matter
Yeah, probably more that several million…its almost distracting. Kinda wish that was just addressed in the beginning of the video to get it over with.
@@ChrissiXexactly!!! Talk about character and humanity!
@@ChrissiXthese stories don’t happen very often though
Don't hurt people and have fun. Nailed it.
In an apocalypse, these are the people who will walk out and survive ❤️

California is getting some beautiful coverage with these gems! We are Lucky today again, many thanks Peter.
Great to hear the truth about country living. It is not easy in any way. The road to real wilderness is paved with folks who tried it and failed.

I really enjoy Peter’s new videos especially on a crazy rainy day in N California!
Snowing so hard here in Tahoe! Have a nice day.
That's the most stressed out hippie I've ever seen.
Lots of ground to cover in a short amount of time.
Indeed. Nothing is organic on RUclips. This is a promotional video/ad.
Thanks for another great video Peter, i'm in a real dark place as of late and these videos make me feel more human.
Been through Etna many times. It’s truly beautiful country up there.
This biggest take away from this area is…the silence. Total peace and connection with nature. Sure do miss the Real Northern California
Peter, another amazing video. Thank you so much!
Now that's a way to start the day! Right on!
This has to be one of the most beautiful areas of the country.
You need to visit Brent Underwood at the Cerro Gordo mining ghost town he bought a few years ago.
Absolutely
Such a cool area of the country. Cheers to this guy, living the life.
That guy doesn't hunt.
Define “hunting” 😉 😂!
Love this types of videos ❤
Michael "Monk" O'Hare crazy story. Thank you for sharing. Good for him putting his money to work for a small community.
Places like this(especially in CA) shall remain “secret”. Awesome video!!
What a fun little town❤❤❤❤. This guy is an entrepreneur in Gods country😊
Before this very very few people had seen this part of California. Beautiful
America 🇺🇸 big country really is the Land of dreams . Mr. Donald Trump ❤ will make America 🇺🇸 great again and for the American people you deserve the best & the world is smiling too
@@patriciaoreilly8907I hope he helps this guy pay less in gas. What a nightmare to have to deal with Gavin’s stupid taxes living way out there.
Good Morning Peter!!!
Happy Saturday 💜
you should totally do a video about the guy who owns Cero Gordo. His YT channel is super interesting.
Many parts of California are the complete opposite of what Southern California Cities present. Thank you for shining a light on good people in beautiful communities who actually love the land and want nothing but the best for our state. ❤
Lived in Calahan, close to Etna. Worked in Fort Jones at the bowling alley. LOVED IT THERE!!

Someone else I know bought a town in Cali, it’s called Pulga
Look into Cerro Gordo Mines in California. Another man bought a town in the middle of nowhere lol

It does remind me of Cerro Gordo …. Very nice
Cerro Gordo is the real thing... these are a bunch of communist dead heads
You know, I said that I would never EVER live in California. I even said you could NOT pay me to live in that state; my wife and I are looking for a new challenge. We'll do the challenge!

"Not everyone gets along out here"
California is stereotyped, but this proves otherwise !
"The State of Jefferson" is alive and well !
Peter ! Another "bomb" story that is so cool !
Southern California is exactly like the stereotype though lmao
Another great episode, guy speaks in the longest run on sentences ever heard 😅
SO cool!
The scenery is making my day after a horrible week but keep smiling & go forth 😊 tommorow is another day & besides i have faith in the Lord

Sounds like he owned a lot of marijuana and maybe even came from money before that
Wow, Cecilville has a website! LOL
My first question; trash and sewage?
Ask for the Coopman Family

The folks here had to have beau coup $ to set up all they have!
