@@OverlandScout81 Absolutely. I can certainly feel your passion for exploration, and I love that it is helping you and others deal with the long term effects of your service to our nation. It's great to hear you talking about helping pass that along to others in your shoes as well. Hats off to you!
@@ElGuaposTruckFarm It means a lot, thanks my friend. It's definitely on my heart to help others. So thankful I was able to go on the trip with Team Overland.
Wild horses, megalithic views and varied terrain. Awesome video Mike and well put together. It just flowed and went well with my breakfast and cup of coffee in morning, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great start to my day. God bless. Have a great week.😎👍🏽
Another outstanding video such gorgeous scenery, I wish you the absolute best in your journey ❤ ty for your service much love and respect Mike and as always be safe 👍👍
Thanks my friend! We were blown away with that area and it’s going to take several more trips to cover it all. Definitely in my top 3 favorite trips! Happy trails my friend!
Beautiful video, thank you for sharing 🙏 we got to visit coffee pot crater, what a cool place, the Juniper gulch in Leslie gulch is our favorite .. beautiful work, we really enjoyed the video and thank you for your service and contribution to keeping our beautiful country free!!
Another great video Mike. Love your passion for exploring. Keep it up. I’m in Northern Ca. and love exploring the northern Sierras and Nevada and Oregon. Was at Leslie Gulch and up through Succor Creek to Hells Canyon area a few months ago. Looking forward to your next adventure. Maybe see you on the trail.
Thank you my friend! Really appreciate your comment. I see you are starting a channel and subbed. Looking forward to seeing your adventures! It would be great to meet some of you guys that have been following along. Thinking I'm going to organize a group run in the spring. Happy trails my friend!
This is a great trip. I have traveled much of the northern Owyhee Canyonlands but never from the south end from the pillars. The first weekend of October we camped on the river at the same place you did. I built the fire ring that you camped next to. I love this area it’s one of the last wild frontiers. It’s sad this whole area is on the verge of being designated as a wilderness area. Congressman Cliff Bentz, Rep., OR, Senators Merkley, and Wyden, Dem., OR, have all introduced legislation, HR 10082, and S. 1890, respectively, to designate over 926,588 acres as Wilderness Area in the Owyhee Canyonlands. Both bills are disguised as grazing bills to benefit ranchers. Neither piece of legislation will enhance grazing permits anymore than the existing provision of the Taylor Grazing Act, or FLPMA. This is all part of the Democratic 30 by 30 agenda. Rep Bentz is just giving a favor for a favor.
@OverlandScout81 ya it's pretty darn cool. We were out there in August with 7 Jeeps, multiple days just chillin. Out favorite spot is on a river bank near a warm sping. Two ways to get there, one by river crossing, the other by a dicy rocky decline. On the map, the roads are not connected. No one was out there.
Although I haven't finished the movie yet, (so far it's awesome!), I have a question for you about your Ignik Fire Can. Does that thing put out enough heat to actually provide warmth? I have a propane campfire called Little Red Campfire, and I swear you almost have to stand on top of the thing to feel any warmth. I do not recommend the Little Red as a means of staying warm around camp. How about the Ignik? Thanks! ... now back to the movie! haha
Glad you’re enjoying it my friend! The Ignik Fire Can does pretty well. I mostly got it for ambiance during fire season but it puts out a fair amount of heat even on low. Definitely good for Spring, Fall, and cool nights during the summer. Likely won’t cut it for winter but I’m going to test it. I got it at the Northwest Overland Expo this past summer and looked a few others that put out a much bigger flame on high but glad I went with Ignik as I think the other ones would burn too much propane. I generally run it on low and a 5lb propane tank lasts 3 nights and mornings. I got the delux so I can cook on it but i found I don’t actually use it much for cooking. Thinking the regular one would be the one to get. Thanks for the question my friend! Happy to help!

Right on my friend. Agree, it’s one of the last frontiers. It felt so incredibly remote. Just read up on HR10082…Sad indeed.
So good Mike! Shared!
Thank you so much!!
Another home run Mike👍
Mike I noticed your trail friend had a Gazelle tent, did he carry that up on his roof rack?
Thanks Rick! Much appreciated. Yep, he straps it down to his roof rack. It fits nicely next to his Roam box.
Recognize a lot of that having been there before.
