One tip is put a few dots of hot glue on one side center once you have centered. Then let it dry then you can flip it and staple the rest of the side. Just so you have it secure! Looks great!!

@@mackenzieelizabeth7897 hi! Sorry for the late reply. I ended up using a removable vinyl on a canvas where I modpodge a Christmas paper bag decor. I just painted it black. But I did use an iron in one of my project using a burlap and it worked. You just have to keep checking if the vinyl is sticking on. I hope I make sense ☺️

Hello, I tried my FIRST htv vinyl on painted wood today and it didn't turn out too well. In fact, I ended up removing all the vinyl in the end and will sand the wood down and try again. I used Apple barrel paints (like you) and I let it dry OVERNIGHT. So, I'm not sure if I kept the mini heat press on too long (30-35 seconds) or if I didn't let the vinyl cool enough before removing the backing, but it pulled off a LOT of the paint around the vinyl and I even saw some spots where the glue on the htv may have melted and oozed out...😫 Where do you think I went wrong?

Very cool! But why use htv instead of regular vinyl or removable? I just started so I’m probably overthinking it.
You placed a Teflon sheet down before applying the hot iron. Can parchment paper be used equally as well?

So just so I don’t mess up this up I just do the canvas the face up way it comes just take it apart?

Even though you painted the canvas, did you tell the easy press that you were ironing on to canvas?
Michael, do we have to use HTV vinyl, or can we use Permanent vinyl, then press it with parchment paper.
And I’m not sure what we would make, we would literally try it ALLLLLLLLLLLL 😂
