Melissa, I just don't understand why they call it a reverse canvas. Your not using the back of the canvas, that would be reverse. What's being reversed is the FRAME. Sorry guess its my School Teacher background.

Are the sides of the canvas ugly? My sides have little slots and then on the inside there’s a stamped number. What do I do to that?

AMANDA McCauley chalk paint or stain works great. You can use wood putty if you hate the holes before ypu paint.
