Thank you. This was very informative. I like how you show so many different tthings to use instead of buying cricut items, because some of those tools could be expensive. I also like how you tell where they are located in the store. Thanks again
GIRL, YOU ARE A GENUIS! I go to the Dollar tree very often. But, I see I must goo back.again ASAP! I just got my Cricket Maker last week as a birthday gift from my dear husband. He has been instrumental in making sure I have the tools and supplies I need to bee successful. I am known for giving gifts all the time, so I am sure he is looking forward to my using My Cricut to save him money! You gave me lots of ideas and Mother’s Day is just 2 weeks away and we Pastor a small church. I try to give gifts to the lady’s on special days. And the men too. So I have found you, I am sure you have given me what I need to pull it off one more time. Thanks,, from your new fan in Crestview, FL.
JOT has awesome products. These were some great ideas. I also commend you for taking time to do the warranty disclaimer. Not every hack video takes the time to remind their viewers about that.
Thanks for all the great cheap tips. The machine was so expensive, even with a Black Friday sale, and it seems like everything requires requires another gadget. I just want to make some labels for my kitchen and office. But I’m quickly learning it’s possible to do everything with them. Also, I was subscribed with notifications within two minutes. Great presentation and gets right to the point. And you seem nice.
After 2 years I have FINALLY unboxed and started using my Cricut! As a fellow Dollar Tree lover, I cannot believe all of your amazing suggestions. Palm to head: why did I not think of that!! THANK YOU so much!
You had me at Dollar Tree. Just got my cricut and I luv this viedo. I canceled an Amazon order after watching this. I will be going to the store this week.
The last idea for the clear folders with the three holes is perfect. I've got all these huge binders in my classroom I try to give away, now I need to keep a few for myself, LOL
Great ideas! I love that Dollar Tree is offering so many craft supplies now. It's especially great for trying a new technique or skill. To not spend a fortune on supplies - it's a great testing option. I'm going to be revamping my craft space. Great storage/organizing options as I go along.
It is overwhelmiing but watch a lot of videos and just play and experiment.I learned and continue to learn from Melody Lane. The only thing that will happen is that you may waste products and money lol. There is quite a bit to learn but it is exciting once you get the hang of it. Have fun!
The thing I found out was doing one thing until I could do it well. Bouncing all over was frustrating and I wasn’t really syncing with the Design Space programming. I suggest to make a name on Cricut DS. Go to canvas. Text. Type the name ..click away on the canvas so it knows you’re done. Drag across the whole name from upper left to lower right. Action. Find ‘ungroup’ then tap on & off the letters to highlight them one at a time to pull the letters towards each other & together - then ‘regroup’ and weld it. Make it. Continue. Load it. Cut it. ~ Do that a few times .. as you’re moving along go back and forth to ‘edit’ and look at the letter height of each letter and the vertical height of each letter, during and after UNGROUP & GROUP .. they look like they’re all in a row but we’ve moved them around 😁. For me the top row is pretty good at a vertical height of .50 to begin with.. after the first cutting it can be adjusted but that’s a good place to start. After it’s Welded it can’t be undone so make all adjustments before welding. It’s not a biggie tho because delete is the red X 😂 just start again 👌 After welding you can highlight the name and go back to actions and tap Duplicate if you want to make two- which is usually a good thing. Hope this made sense. Take it with you to Design Space and see. Good luck!!! 🍀 👍
The Dollar Tree is the best place to start. I would suggest buying some of the fake vinyl that she shows and practice with it. Final can be expensive to make mistakes with, but you can get totally confident using something simple like the drawer liners and not worry about making mistakes.
I love this video, so many options I had not thought of! I haven’t seen the rotary cutter or mat at my dollar tree so I will check around. Most of the items in your video will work with my silhouette too.
So I went to my dollar store today. They didn’t have a lot, but because we live in such a remote area, I went in not expecting a whole lot! I managed to get 9 items. I got a few of the tools, some paper, some cute visors, cups, and some pot holders. Oh and their jumbo spatula. I’m actually going to cut off part of the handle for that, then warm up any rough spots left from the cut, to soften them up and use it as a scraper. I’m just thankful to have found some items at a way cheaper price. Thanks again for your video!
I bought my first Cricut machine and that's the Cricut Joy! and it's definitely a joy to use. I love the little machine and I'm already hooked! Seapanda Crafts, this is a great video. Dollar Tree is one of my favorite stores and I had no idea how resourceful it would be. Thank you! ♥
I bought the pencil and paint brush holder at Dollar Tree. It holds 49 cricut pens and really is nice for them. This was a very informative video also. Thanks
i just got an Air 2 last week and am still learning how to use it. I did find that I can cut contact paper perfectly using the sticker paper setting, I think I used "less pressure" for it. Thanks for all the suggestions! - Tiffany 🌻
Moleskin (used to protect your heels from getting blisters, etc.) works great to put on the edge of sharp scrapers. I also have one edge of my flexible scraper from 143Vinyl covered with it as even though it is not sharp, it is so easy to mar the metallic and foil vinyls when burnishing them.
Fantastic! I would have never thought to look for tools for my cutting machine in the toothpaste isle ... It also never occurred to me to insert a pen instead of a blade. I have to try this and if it works: oh, the possibilities! I have a very old silhouette cameo, so I am not concerned about the warranty anymore. Thank you for all the wonderful tips!
This was amazing!!!! I love Dollar Tree and often visit to see what they have. I will definitely look for some of the items you mentioned in this video so I can use with my Cricut machine.
Thanks so much for all the genius hacks to save money on supplies & storage options! I just got a Cricut & was shocked at how much all the supplies were. That had me so discouraged & stressed! But now I won't feel guilty & can actually have some fun with this machine.
My favorite vinyl hack. Slapsticks!! Not sure if they have them at dollar tree but I got 150 for about $10. Also you have a screenshot feature on your desktop and laptops. Remove your grid and you can save just about everything outside of DS. Or bring it back into DS. 😏
I loved this video! I know it's a year old, but it's super helpful for someone (me!) to have an idea of what I need. I have asked Santa for a Cricut Joy, and if he lets me down, I'm going to get one for myself! 🤣🤣 I've never used one, so I'm clueless....and this video was super helpful! I subscribed because I can see I'm going to need your help when the time comes Thank you for such helpful ideas, I'm really happy that I found you. 👏👏👏
Great,Great,Great Video. I've had my Cricut Explorer Air 2 for 2 months & have been scared to unbox, lol. I opened it last night & got excited now I'm looking for tips, tricks, & beginner projects. You provide so much Great, organized info. Thanks for sharing. I will subscribe👍🏾
i gotta admit i was skeptical of the title... but I decided to watch...Im very new to the Cricutverse so I am SO DAMN GLAD i watched this video and I have subscribed. I dont want to miss anything else. Thank you for such a thorough and awesome video
The Cricut Weeding tool is a Dental pick or Dental Probe...... You can get them in 5 packs at Gun shops (it's a cleaning tool), Harbor Freight, or Home Depot / Lowes. The mini spatulas are sculptors tools and these are in the clay crafts aisle.
Brilliant hacks thank you. I'm a newby to Cricut here in New Zealand. We don't have the dollar tree store but similar stores so I will keep an eye out!
I'm watching you for the first time and I like to shop at DT too - a lot! You have ideas I've never seen or never would have thought of! I've subscribed!
I can't thank you enough for thus video I am brand spanking new to cricut and pretty lost. I love the hacks and did subscribe to your channel I'm looking forward to viewing more of your videos. PS, not that it's a bad thing but it annoys me when people making the video talk about their, kids, pets, partner, or what they did or ate last night. Yours was so straight forward and your voice is very pleasant, thanks so much.
Very helpful and encouraging to a new user! It will be a while before I move back to my house that is going through restoration after a fire several months. At least it is a chance to be organized from the beginning. Meanwhile, my new Maker is resting in my car until we can move in.
Coffee Filters make the best cleaning tool when using alcohol because it won't leave any lint on your substrate (ie: glass, plastic, ceramic)
Great tip!
That's a good one!
I didn't even think about that, that's literally perfect for my resin shakers
I use coffee filters regularly to clean off my tumblers and they are inexpensive .
YES, great for doing windows and mirrors too!
Thank you. This was very informative. I like how you show so many different tthings to use instead of buying cricut items, because some of those tools could be expensive. I also like how you tell where they are located in the store. Thanks again
Thank you for going slowly for us older crafters. I just got a Joy for Christmas, and I am very afraid. So I'm looking at videos to help.

Use the soft side a Velcro strip for the edge of the large squeegee. That’s what we do in the sign industry.
Lint roller sections also work as transfer tape when you're in a jam.
Thank you 😩🧨
Indeed!! So do the shelf liners!!
wish i would have seen this before spending money on the transfer paper, i bet they work better cause the cricut transfer paper sucks
Using the lint roller to hold the water bottle down...... GENIUS!!!
WOW, the earbud ---> mask holder is bloody brilliant! And, I had these in my hand the other day!
You had me at Dollar Tree. Just got my cricut and I luv this viedo. I canceled an Amazon order after watching this. I will be going to the store this week.
I just bought a Cricut Maker and I am so happy I found your channel. This is super helpful! Thank you
For the LA spray I think the problem is with the newer mats because the adhesive is different and is more easily broken down.
YOU ARE SO SWEET! TO TAKE YOUR TIME TO HELP US OUT!
I have found the clear shelf liner from WalMart to work better.
The book cover rolls...genius!! Thanks for the tips ❤️
The last idea for the clear folders with the three holes is perfect. I've got all these huge binders in my classroom I try to give away, now I need to keep a few for myself, LOL
The nut thing you pick out nuts of shells works as a weeder tool
I just got permanent vinyl from my dollar tree for 50 cent! I raked up in colors!
Video was very informative. Thanks for sharing all the items yhat we can use in our craft room.❤️

The lint brush is also good to use for transfer tape. And the vinyl is very thin so works well with the Washi setting.
I bought the pencil and paint brush holder at Dollar Tree. It holds 49 cricut pens and really is nice for them. This was a very informative video also. Thanks

I love using bench scraper for lots of things not in the kitchen.
Great idea with the basket. As for pens, Color Factory Glass Paint Brush Marker. Great video.
Lent rollers also double as transfer tape.

I bet in a pinch it totally would!!!
Extremely well organized and easy to understand - thumbs up for your video!
