You have such great tips! I love that you give us info that most tutorials don’t cover, like the HTV will shrink, and how to unwrinkle the vinyl just to name two.
Can't believe the last day is almost here, Wow What a rush time, Thank you and all your team for all there help and time. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
I think you’ll be my new best friend.. how easy did you just make this for everyone thank you, I’m now heading over to your website for more information
This one is a keeper. Thanks, Jennifer! I do have a couple of questions. How do you know when you've heated HTV enough to bond it properly? I've heard to heat it until you see the knit texture of the t-shirt in the HTV. How do you know when you've over heated HTV?
Thank you for these tips, because these are really helpful especially when it comes to using materials as I'm new to doing heat transfer vinyl projects.
Hi Jennifer, I used HTV to make a layered white Cricut shirt and thought I used all the right steps. My base layer is an American flag with an excerpt printed on top. I gave the shirt to a friend who washed & wore it several times until the letters started curling up and falling off where they were layered over the flag. I don't know what I've done incorrectly & hoped you or someone here could help me understand so I don't make the same mistake again. You suggest showing pix of our projects, but I don't know how to attach a picture of my project here or I would show you.
There are so many variables that can cause that to happen but usually it comes down to temp and press time. You can always search and/or ask for more information in my FB Group, facebook.com/groups/cricutcraftersandmakers/ ❤️
@@JenniferMakerit is not durable at all, actually it is horrible quality. Any of them! A disappointment. Usinf POD is much easier and at least its designs doesnt roll and come off.
WOW!!! So much to know. I'm getting a Cricut Joy tomorrow, it's wrapped and under the tree!!! I'm so excited. Glad that I can count on you to guide me through. Merry Christmas!!
I've done a few shirts with cricut and kmart brand iron-on vinyl, and no problems. Used this iron-on vinyl I got from amazon, and it wouldn't stick, so I turned the heat up a little and then it melted and warped the vinyl...
Hi Jennifer, Thank you for another wonderful tutorial! ❤ If i want to use a different picture, how do I add the registration little hearts to all layers? It’s my first layered HTV shirt, I thought those gonna make it easier to layer the vinyl, thank you❤😘
Thanks for the helpful and easy to follow video. I have a question about your HTV Vinyl Cookbook. Does it cover other brands of vinyl, or just the Cricut vinyl? Thanks.
Thank you for all the great tips, I do have a question, though. Can I use parchment paper instead of butcher paper? I have no idea where to get butcher paper in my neck of the woods, but parchment is readily available.
It depends on what you're pressing with so it's always good to check the manufacturer's instructions, but for use with an Easy Press or Auto Press, I would use 315 degrees F for 30 seconds for a starting point.
Hi! I love all the tips!! When I finish with the heat oress and take everything off, the vinyl on my shirt is still sticky. Why does that happen? Any tips to troubleshoot that?
Wow this is awesome. I am trying to follow along and create the coffee shirt but I don't know how to retrieve the fonts I downloaded and saved. How do I make them accessible in the canvas? Thanks for your assistance.
Once you have downloaded the fonts they will be on your system choices, so choose system and you can browse whatever fonts you have downloaded and choose the one you want. Hope that helps.
@@sabbycatyou THANK YOU!!! It sure did. I reprinted but the /r/ and /g/ in my name didn’t cut deep enough so I’ll have to recut. I hope to complete this project by Friday.

I did not know you can size the t-shirt templates. Game changer
Im just started out making shirt when you doing layers like that pink heart how long did you let it cool before putting on the 2nd layer?
HTV is a cool peel so you can do it immediately.
I'm so excited. I made the coffee shirt and although it's not perfect, I'm proud of it. Can hardly wait to wear my first project ever.
Thank you, I've picked up some very good information pointing out mistakes that can happen if you aren't taking it easy and take your time with HTV.
Well, done! A very professional and concise tutorial. I wish all RUclips instructional videos were this good. Hat's off to your production crew!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you Jennifer this tutorial answered most of my questions about layering Htv.

Yes, you can place registration marks in Design Space, you'd just need to line them up and weld them to each layer. 😊🌻
@@JenniferMaker Thank you for quick response like always! You’re the BEST❤️🙏🏼 I will let you know how it goes 😊

Butcher paper can be found in the cooking isle in a store. HTV has a carrier sheet so you don't really need anything but parchment paper can work.
Very educational video tutorial avoiding mistake for htv and iron on .
Thank you ! 🥰👍
How hot and how long do you apply HYV to a 80% Polyester 20% Spandex blend?
It depends on what you're pressing with so it's always good to check the manufacturer's instructions, but for use with an Easy Press or Auto Press, I would use 315 degrees F for 30 seconds for a starting point.
Will you cover layered images? Such as multi color projects?
She just did one!
Can you do this on a black tee shirt just not using any black HTV? Instead make it white with the green???
Of course! Have fun!

You might be overheating it. 🥰
Thank you, thank you 😊. I have learned so much from you and your team.
Hi Jennifer! Your videos have been amazing. I was wondering, can you use HTV on chunky glitter grosgrain ribbon?
I'm not sure how well it would adhere. 🥰
Definitely lint roll! I’ve included cat hair on some of my t-shirts, lol.😂
great tips, I have to get back into making shirts again. thank you
