    Your videos are so good, very detailed and informative. Because of this video, i would go with the Siser. QUESTION: What would you suggest to use for the carrier film/ transfer sheet for the Siser Brand? I've read so many bad reviews on theirs. Thank you and keep up the good work. 💛

    Young Lady, you are an absolute joy to watch and listen to, I learn a lot, and, you are not boring to listen too, you are a very interesting video personality and instructor... I've had my Siser easy color DTV on a T shirt for about 4 washes but I've not had it do that, it came out nice and flat and hasn't shown any sign of pealing or wrinkling, but I didn't run it through mu Cricut either, I pressed almost the whole sheet with my design...

    I appreciate your video's very much, I have learned a lot from them and I love your web site. Now for the iron on transfers I am not sure what I would do, my niece has used some from Wal Mart that she has ironed on with a regular iron and her son wore them several time don't know exactly how many, but I would like to try the Siser and a Wal Mart item (maybe Avery) and see what I get if I prewash the shirts and use the heat press like others suggested below. Thank you so much for all your test.

    Love that you did the comparison so I didn't have to ;-)! I have only used the siser & I like it. I don't want to get into sublimation so this seems like an acceptable alternative. But must say I will be thinking about your challenge to you viewers as to what you should compare next...maybe different brands of cardstock? Or different glues? I'll be giving this much thought as I drift to sleep :-). TY - job well done!

    I have used siser for a students birthday shirt and the exact Walmart brand. Sister does wrinkle. He's work his shirt several times and I clearly see the wrinkles and it's peeling as well. Because that makes so many shirts for my classroom using the Walmart brand is convenient but it does tend to be lighter it lasts very well though through the washes I noticed still knew what this but thank you for the comparisons.

    Great job! Couple of questions/comments: why use the dark fabric setting and then put on white shirt? Is that just the go to setting? Also, it would be a good comparison now with a heat press for all three to see if that would work the same as well. TYSM for doing these comparisons for others, I’ve learned SO much from you!!❤

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles  Год назад +1

      Hi Lori! You are so very welcome and yes, I think the heat press would also be a great comparison because of the equal pressure that comes with using a press. The Walmart brand suggested the dark fabric setting but it can be used on either color fabric. We appreciate your kind words and we're so thankful you are able to learn from our tutorials. 🥰- Dawn

    • @lizzie3906
      @lizzie3906 Год назад +2

      To my knowledge, the "light fabric" transfer is a completely different product and process (for exemple you have to mirror your design ) that is more "translucent". The light/dark refers to the "technology" of the material you're printing on, not the color of the fabric... but while you can use the material for "dark" on white (it's opaque), you probably won't see anything if you try the transfer for "light" on a black shirt.

      I also have tried many htv on light and dark and I really like the Avery on both, when I first started out doing shirts and sweatshirts, I used Avery, then after seeing so many other brands I wasn’t sure I had a good brand because it’s not mentioned much.long story short, I made my husband a black 100% cotton shirt using the Avery for darks with the ink jet printer and the design had super tiny birds (at least 25 birds) so I used a mask to pick them up to appt on the shirts. Anyway as time went on and with some other brands were a waste of money, I ended up looking at his shirts I made with both dark and light and I even counted the tiny birds and not one was missing, the colors are still as they were when I made it and it’s a favorite shirt so it gets washed regularly. So it will be my go for my darks or all cotton shirts. I even do sublimation on these sheets, no problem most of the time with my printer but I load it manually and it works great!

    Ok I wish you had used a real heat press with all 3 of these. The cricut easy press is notorious for not heating to an accurate temp. Meaning you set it for 350 but it only gets to 325. That could be why DTV is peeling.
    A fun test would be testing different heat presses and seeing which ones are accurate when it comes to temps

      The Siser holds up pretty well if you use a heat press instead of an Easy Press. The heat press applies way more even pressure. I think it just wrinkled because it did not have enough pressure in order to stick well to the shirt and water went under it and lifted it off because I have pressed it with a heat press and it's perfectly fine.

    With siser you have to wait 24 hours to cut as well. Don’t cut or press for 24 hours. That’s where the bleeding come in. The wrinkles are from the shirt shrinking.

    Just a question, if you used the printable iron on for dark fabrics, why did you put it on a light/white tshirt? Good timing for me to watch this video because I've been wanting to try printable iron on and can't decide what product to use. In doing some research, it looks like you DON'T mirror images for printable iron on for dark fabrics, but you DO mirror printable iron on for light fabrics. Is this true?

      Hi Cindy! Thank you for reaching out and for our testing purposes, we wanted to see how the product would adhere and if there was any stretching or color differences after the press. Normally, we would recommend using a dark shirt, but for this test the color of the shirt wouldn't have changed the results - Dawn 🙂

    Siser easycolor, thats the new goto standard. 3G Jet Opaque was top for a long time, but no more. Not only is it impossible to use transfer tape with (unless you peel it and put it on a carrier sheet), it cracks and lasts maybe 2 or 3 minths. Something changed, dramatically, and lately. 3G just isnt good anymore.
    Siser easycolor is light hand and durable way way way longer. You can use transfer tape with siser.

    My preferred printable DTV is the Siser, and I've never had the results you got. I've pressed with my EasyPress using either parchment paper or a Teflon sheet, washed more than once, and didn't iron a single shirt, but my design didn't wrinkle up nor did any colors bleed. Based on what others have said here, I'm convinced you must have gotten a bad batch.
