I’m crying because I was diagnosed with Borderline Personality, Multiple Personality and schizophrenia as a very young girl. In and out of psychiatric hospitals and given shock therapy and
very bad drugs (Thorazine) and others.
🌿I finally feel understood. My life with these labels has been hell. I mourn my life. 😢

I was the same except diagnosed with bipolar instead of schizophrenia. I spent half of high school in psychiatric hospitals.

Thank you, there is shortage of information on autism and when much of it is sorted out women will most likely be 50% of those with autism. ADHD may be a secondary aspect of autism. ☮

It is sad how much I relate to all this information and how long I've lived not knowing.

I loved this! Thank you! It's infuriating that this information has been just sitting there for almost 100 years before being translated and how much of it is ignored and disregarded because it has to do with women.
I felt like I was hanging out in your kitchen with you... like I was with my one friend that is actually interested in this too. :)

I first started watching Kim a while ago, when I first started researching autism, because over the years I’ve come to believe I’m undiagnosed, not that I’ve ever been to a dr to find out.
Always informative, and I might be far too old to say this (man in my mid 50s), but Miss Kim, you are a beautiful woman with a gorgeous smile, and I could listen to you yak all day!
    Cheers from Sydney x

I would like to see much more practical, actionable advice coming from psychology rather than clutching at straws, which I feel is too dominant

Just been reading about histrionic personality disorder and wondering why it isn’t talked about, even tho it’s the go-to way that all women are perceived in healthcare. I can definitely see elements that would more quickly be seen as ADHD or autism in men although like NPD and BPD I do think it’s distinct

    Illuminating study, thank you!
You're doing such great work, I feel inspired to connect you with some keywords related to the behaviors of autism, bpd & adhd:
    Undermethylization
    Pyrrole Disorder
    Copper Toxicity
    Overmethylization

My ex husband told me he thought I'm Autistic, which is how I've stumbled upon your videos. Where I live (Maine) it's hard to afford the testing for an official diagnosis especially as a single mom with 2 kids who I'm solely financially responsible for. I'm turning 42 this year and I want nothing more than to be understood and accepted as a person. Everyday feels like failure because I'm not doing enough, I'm too "this", or not enough "that". I'm growing very tired and struggling to find motivation to keep going.

I'm having trouble sorting through your channel. Have you ever made a video about ADHD & Autism in women? How ADHD interacts with autism, how ADHD impacts the presentation&symptoms of autism, etc. If not, would you ever make one?

I’ve really enjoyed your videos. I will share them with my clients. Just a bit of feedback .. considering your audience- the multi tasking , reading, and having noises (bag, lid) during the video can be painful to watch and follow. I struggled to take in the large amount of info with the sensory overload. Thanks for considering…

I really want to watch this but the bag rattling and cooking noise is borderline unbearable

I felt the same way. I kept losing focus because I was now focused on waiting for the next distraction. Too much going on for me. Unfortunate, because I love Kim's videos and find them so helpful.

Yep. Making food while talking about this is such a bad idea (it's distracting and unrelated to the topic). I didn't click the video to watch a food tutorial.

There at the end when you say “borderline” are you referring to bpd?

  • @mandarinadreux9572
    @mandarinadreux9572 24 дня назад

i wouldn't necessaruly say people are being misdiagnosed with Borderline, but rather that this is not the full truth. I think these two conditions can co occur frequently and Asd can be a setup for the development of bpd
Unrelated, I couldn't understand you very well. As a ND person I have sensory input sensitivities and if there is background noise, I cannot pick out words

I was misdiagnosed with BPD. If someone has autism and PTSD it can look like BPD.

Free content folks. Kim will be fitting lunch into today’s video because she is a busy woman ….she should just have her lunch rather than post content for moaning people.

Kim, as a 71 year old with tinnitus, I need you to be closer to your mic, please. Your kitchen is too echo-y for me to hear you properly.
