    it's funny, every time someone from the north comes to Texas, y'all is the first 'southern' word they pick up. It's a good word! Fits so much of the time. love that!! and yes I kept thinking "put those goats in with the pigs... they'll clean up that "stuff" and real good". lol. They are eating machines.

    Friday afternoon here, also in NH. Our lawn had the same growth spurt yours did after the 2.5" of rain we just got the other day.... your video is making me feel like I need to mow the lawn... even though I'd rather relax on this fine afternoon.

    HI Al. I have always boasted to friends about buying herbs and spices in bulk in our local high end grocery store. To make them last and give the spices a good container, I bought the Ball 4 oz decorative jelly jars ,12 pack. everyone has loved that idea and it looks really neat in the pantry, also comes with the labels...also i leave them in the box they came in for storage and to pull out when I need them.

    Heeey AL, if you noticed the color of the leaves from that plant that was growing in that compost pile to the ones in your garden. they are not the same. One is yellow green and the other is dark green. Blossom rot is common with squash, its a sign of lack of calcium. Also lack of water. The growing medium you have is prone to loose all the good stuff from leaching. All the nutrients are washed out from rains leaving you with nothing for the plants. This is one problem with raised beds, they also dry out fast and overheat. Raised beds are great for plants that need heat, other plants that don't do better in the ground where it is cooler.
    Yes your pigs will eat anything, that is why in the Bible we are told not to eat them, they are scavengers. sorry bro.

    Gooood Mornin' Al! And all y'all! Great day on the homestead! I'm curious about the process that you have to go through to change out your mowing deck... is it an easy process to change it out or more of a pain? Are there other versions of a Kubota that have easier systems to change attachments or are they all pretty much the same? Would you but the same Kubota again or upgrade? (Not because your going to be needing a bigger one for your new pastures but just for features your doesn't have)

    • @LumnahAcres
      @LumnahAcres  6 лет назад +1
