I watched this two years after it was originally made. Olivia has a great imagination! Great parenting in helping her make her castle! You were right when you said somethings are more important than other things when you stopped to cut out the castle.
Wow... your shows are always so good and keep you interested in all areas of your farm.. and your daughter is a very good speaker and clear.. nice to see...
So one day we were pulling the car hood/rock sled loaded with a huge bolder. As we passed by some horses picketed in the road ditch, they took fright at the horse-eating rock and ran away. Lol
Just back from milking a herd of cows and I got to watch this sweet video. LOVE the CASTLE Olivia and your new Comfy Reading Chair!!! Al, the raking is coming along 👍👍 So happy the chicks hatched out safely. Gina, you and Olivia looked adorable in the castle. Reminds me of this huge castle my father made me out of cardboard when I was young. ♥️
Lumnah Acres - mixed herd....Heifers and Jersey’s...Love them all...I work for a young couple not far from our house. I was blessed to learn something new in addition to my full time job, which is in the field of Dentistry. With respect to our first flock of laying hens, we’re at between 70-80% of the hens laying now. I chuckle, I wonder which TWO are holding out...LOL...
Beautiful video. Seeing Olivia singing to the "song" on the radio gave me goosebumps. My kinda music :-). Perfect castle built by the knight in shining armor for his beautiful princess.
Hey Al, I just want to say I really appreciate you, your family and all of your videos. You've built an incredible homestead there. Thank you for keeping me headed in the right direction.
Aww YOUR daughter is so cute you should let her learn to sing she has a BEAUTIFUL voice MOMMY LOOK cute wher YOUR daughter I can TELL THIS LITTLE ANGEL is the apple of mommy and DADDY HEART 🤗🤗🤗🤗😘😄😄😄✌
I had the 100 mile Galliger charger. I ran a hot wire all around our property line. We had 26 acres. That was a big job, but that really paid off when it came to portable pastures. I could grab a hot wire off the nearest property line. I took a hammer drill and a generator and drilled holes in the top stones of the stone wall. I used short scrap peases of #4 rebar for my stakes. Most were tight, It the hole was too big a had a tube of caulk Id use to cement the stake in the hole. Down on the 9 hole golf coarse, I used a solar charger. That was always iffy. I had a Great Perininneees down there with the sheep. She kept the predators away ( mostly domestic dogs), but she didn't keep them in the fence. I was down there every day moving fence I would switch the battery out from my pickup if the solar was weak, it usually was. That was a hassle, so was collecting up sheep when they got out. But they had good grass, that helped. I mowed all my hay down there on the fairways. If you harvest the stones it makes the new ones grow faster.
The strings and draw bridge was a great idea! We used to build blanket forts when we were kids. Thats a good setup for a smoker. Those little stoves are great. I'm just finishing up splitting my winter wood. Cleaned the woodstove and the chimney yesterday.
I absolutely love watching these videos it's almost like being there that bacon looked delicious and Olivia had a great idea for the castle put in a draw bridge.
Wow. You take care of the farm the animals Olivia smoke the bacon and cook it too!!! Gina caught a good one. LOL. Olivia has obviously inherited some of dad's talent for building stuff. It will be fun watching the projects you 2 do this winter.
I used to play with boxes, when I was little. Sometimes making houses, or castles. Other times making race cars! I also would play with egg cartons. Egg cartons made excellent space ships!
Good at growing rocks isn't necessarily a bad thing. Imagine in the years to come all of those rock piles along the edge of the field offering homes to beneficial animals of all types, which will help control the pests in the field. It will be the gift that keeps on giving for years to come, so think of that every time you pick one up, you aren't just making the field better because there are less rocks, you are making a home for things to prey on the pests as well. Thanks for the video.
Enjoyed the video. We used to pull a stone boat around the fields and pick rocks. A lot of bending and those rocks can be heavy. My Irish Great Grandparents homestead was in He'll, Michigan, they built a stone fence...pretty cool. I have one of the stones from the fence. Love you guys.
Ha! Reminds me of my youth! As kids we had spring rock picking jobs in the potato and sugar beet fields...oh the joys of earning money...long gone to kids nowadays!
We can buy our kids the most expensive toys we can find....yet they will play with the cardboard boxes until they won’t stand anymore. Always liked to see my daughter come up with things like that out all the boxes we had over the years
Thanks for your videos. The bacon looks delicious. You need to add grits to this meal. My grandfather from Massachusetts loved grits when he visited us in NC 30 years ago. I actually mix my eggs with grits and bacon together. It is delicious.
The projects always seem bigger then what we think. We wanted to redo our deck railing and stain everything and then flip all the boards so that we could put them closer together because the previous owner didn't do a very good job. So far it's taken all summer and we still aren't done. SOOOOO much work, especially since the deck is about 1100 sq ft.
My wife asked me if it was going to rain today... I said I don't know... I haven't seen the news in a couple of days... Then she said.. I bet you know what happened on lumnah acres.... Lol! Yeah I do
You make a great father and daughter duo. Yesterday's video we got you singing and today we got a Olivia singing. Btw, Good taste in music, guys.... Al, is there a video showing where you guys built the house? I've been following you for a year or over and haven't been able to find the house being built. I like to look back and see how far you have came on, Lumnah Acres.
For along the rock walls: my Grandfather planted horseradish. Thus when you harvest it, it is easier to unpile rocks than to dig up the roots. Midwest farmer saying, "prety good farming land if you are willing to pick a few rocks". Rocks boil up from the ground. To test this, shake a jar of mixed nuts. Notice the large nuts come to the top.
The new pasture is laying down pretty flat so it should be easy to mow and the animals should be safe using it. I don't envy your job fencing it in that rocky soil. Farm looks good.
Impressive Olivia! You Go Smart girl! The field is looking much better, you must feel a since of accomplishment finally. Have a wonderful safe holiday weekend!
Do you use Miracle Grow on those rocks ~8^) Olivia is the Queen of all the land between New Yolk City and New Ham Shire ... All Hail The Queen .... heh heh! Take care Lumnah Acres.
Love watching you guys! My husband wants to give a suggestion about your rock rake , he said if you would angle it like a grader blade it push it to one side instead of going out both sides. We watch you guys everyday :)
Nice video Al. I am now waiting to see what you will build with the rocks. Maybe a rock and concrete home for visitors. God love all that building material.
Wish I could transplant a ton of those rocks for ya. We have no rocks at all, just sand. Not even growing dirt. Literally just sand. I have noticed with the rake on my compact tractor it definitely takes 4-6 passes to get it to clean up good. Just with sand it tends to dig a little to much. I absolutely love tractors. I use mine ALL the time. I'm currently setting up a 100yd shooting range. I couldn't do it without the tractor. (Yanmar 221)
It looks like it's time to move NYC again. Loved Livvy's castle. She obviously has her dad's knack for building things. Maybe set a reminder on your phone to change the battery on the fence. Can't have the Guests of Honor for the pig harvest wandering off. You haven't mentioned the pig harvesting. Are you going try it on your own this year?
You could advertise to the Pacific Islanders in your area...tell 'em "hey braddah, I get choke rocks for the imu/hangi/umu. You like, come get 'em!"...but keep an eye on your animals...they're good for the imu/hangi/umu too...lol
You can use the rocks to you advantage as free material and make some barriers if you would like not sure if that’s your style or not but they are cool.
Good morning Al. You are reminding me to clean out my kitchen wood stove today!Nice to see that smoker going. Great song Livvy and great castle! Happy Sept 1st :-)
GOOD MORNING AL ..... THAT 4 ACER'Z IZ SURE LOOKIN NIIIICE 👸🏻 VERY KOOL LiL PRINCESS OLIVIA Hahah, THE (LUMNAH LOYAL FAMILY 👨👨👧) SIGNING OFF... NIIIICE TOUCH 👌🏼 ( KNUCKLE👊🏽BUMP ) Lumnah Acers......
A reading chair ? It looked more like a comfy place to curl up for a nap ! Al , you are having a really good stone and rock crop . I'll bet that if you plowed that field , you could increase your harvest by many tons. lol
I could watch y’all all day long , Al if your ever in the mood to replace your kubota tractor I’ll buy your old one in a heartbeat. And could you tell Mr. Bigs congrats on being a father... lol have a blessed day y’all.
Al, What ya need for that field is a Bobcat with a Rockhound on the front. It literally rakes the rocks out and leaves a perfect rock and stick free seed bed. Are there any rental places around you ? Just letting you know, have a great day.
august I don't think that would work at this stage. Those rocks are way too big for a rock hound. They're more for tilling. They're too delicate (the spikes) for pulling the size rocks they've got.
Lumnah Acres It also looks like you've got a few hundred pound "project" rocks that'll need to be dug out. We had to hand dig those, then chain drag/cable net them out.
Watching all your old videos, Olivia you can sing. 👍🏻 sweet family
I watched this two years after it was originally made. Olivia has a great imagination! Great parenting in helping her make her castle! You were right when you said somethings are more important than other things when you stopped to cut out the castle.
I love that song Olivia was singing in the truck. Good choice, Dad.
Olivia you are one smart cookie !! Great castle !! Totally Rad.
Love that chair. I read nonstop as a kid.
Oh yes I can't forget, the bacon looks delicious. Olivia I like your new chair too. Keep making memories and castles with your daddy.
Tell Livvy that hubby and I said her singing & castle was the best part of today's video! So ADORABLE!
Olivia is a very good singer, too! You're my favorite channel!
Smiling the whole time i watched this! Good family!
I miss when my kids were younger and played with boxes. Nice job Olivia!
Such a cool video with Olivia making her castle and having fun..Good singing too😊...that bacon is really sizzling...bye!😚👍
I like how you and Olivia have surprises for Gina when she gets home. Fun.
Very nice to see family together.
Well done Olivia!!!!
Wow... your shows are always so good and keep you interested in all areas of your farm.. and your daughter is a very good speaker and clear.. nice to see...
as a young kid on our hobby farm we used to drag an old car hood around and pick rocks. best time of my life. got spend time with my dad. great job
I'm going to need one of those hoods
So one day we were pulling the car hood/rock sled loaded with a huge bolder. As we passed by some horses picketed in the road ditch, they took fright at the horse-eating rock and ran away. Lol

What breed of cows is the herd?

Even better about the song, Livs sang right along. I would have joined in. One of my favorite songs.
The Castle is excellent Princess Olivia!
I was feeling pressure around my heart. So I got up and eased the pressure by watching your vid. Dr. Al and family!
Hope your feeling ok.
Her Majesty Princess Olivia.
And that is how the folks from times gone by got their stone walls you now have on your homestead. Lots of hard work ahead. Lots of luck to you.
Beautiful video. Seeing Olivia singing to the "song" on the radio gave me goosebumps. My kinda music :-). Perfect castle built by the knight in shining armor for his beautiful princess.
A family that plays together, stays together
Great seat & fort, not to mention the drawbridge
Sure you can get everyone in Olivia's castle 😊 Your daughter is such a good kid!!
Hey Al, I just want to say I really appreciate you, your family and all of your videos. You've built an incredible homestead there. Thank you for keeping me headed in the right direction.

Breakfast for dinner was my birthday meal request as a kid. You’re making your own. Sweet.
How sweet O's Castile is! You are a great Dad Al... Courage, Barbara in Maine
I just found your channel recently, and it has been a blessing to watch. Always look forward to the next one, thanks.

Great song to sing Olivia , and so very true as well !!

I got to clean our wood stove and chimney soon
🐷🐐🐓🐔🍓 good day to you Al, Gina & Olivia !! thanks for sharing another awesome update and adventures on the homestead !! 🍓🐔🐓🐐🐷

All hail princess Livies and her fine steed Pluto..... Oh and her cat at arms Sir Figaro!! x-D so very cool!
Awesome update Al. Have an awesome weekend /Andreas
I used to play with boxes, when I was little. Sometimes making houses, or castles. Other times making race cars! I also would play with egg cartons. Egg cartons made excellent space ships!
Most kids like the boxes. Thanks.
Your field is really starting to take shape. The rocks are amazing. The bacon is to drool over👍🏼
Awesome castle, Olivia! Now, you need a moat!
Good to see Olivia listening to some Contemporary Christian music on the way to pick up the goat supplies!! She also has a great imagination!!

Oh man I just had a flashback of taking my 10 acres with my little Massey

My kind of music playing in the truck :)
I still grab refrigerator boxes for the grand kids to play in. Hours of fun!
Great Video! Super Nice Castle!
Thank you for sharing your video homestead chicken farmer garden 👨👩👧👸👕👓🐐🐈🐖🐔🐓🐥🐩🏡🎥👍👍👍
We can buy our kids the most expensive toys we can find....yet they will play with the cardboard boxes until they won’t stand anymore.

Good morning enjoy your video have to go to sleep working in the oil field all night...👋🏿👋🏿👋🏿
Nice rocks for nice walls.
Very instructive video Al. 💕
We have 30 acres, and we need to clear access here and there.
Like you, there is a lot of dense pine and windfall.
looks like rocks and sticks are your best crops.:)
The new pasture is laying down pretty flat so it should be easy to mow and the animals should be safe using it. I don't envy your job fencing it in that rocky soil. Farm looks good.
I'm not looking forward to fencing it in either
another interesting video, like the driving shots, neat to see the area and also like the hand hewn t shirt.
Those rocks look like something beautiful in the making of the future.
Impressive Olivia! You Go Smart girl! The field is looking much better, you must feel a since of accomplishment finally. Have a wonderful safe holiday weekend!
Yes it's really nice dying to see it come together
I love your videos! I was lucky enough to be raised on a farm in Michigan. Great lifestyle!
Those turkeys got big wow
Wow, yesterday we catch Al singing in the car, now Olivia. You guys are acting like real people in front of the whole world. Nice, keep it up dad.
Do you use Miracle Grow on those rocks ~8^) Olivia is the Queen of all the land between New Yolk City and New Ham Shire ... All Hail The Queen .... heh heh! Take care Lumnah Acres.

When you installed the fresh batteries, the pigs came over to make sure you got the polarity correct.
Did not know Littleton was so rocky. I have family that love there. :-)
That bacon looks ridiculously delicious =)
It is! :)
Lovely castle Olivia!!
Nice video Al. I am now waiting to see what you will build with the rocks. Maybe a rock and concrete home for visitors. God love all that building material.
Hubby was coveting his rock pile hahaha He wants to build a rock wall.
mmmmm smelling that bacon from here LOL Great castle Olivia !!!
That is Hell Michigan
Love ‘the castle’ 👌👍👏👏👏👏👍😍

Al , you are having a really good stone and rock crop . I'll bet that if you plowed that field , you could increase your harvest by many tons. lol
I bet we could 😂
You have so many rocks on the property. Would be nice to put them to good use, like a stone wall fence or some creative design element.
Rocks, your tools to stop run off and soil loss.
you could put an freebie ad out in your local paper, “free landscaping rocks, you haul”.
Rhonna Marsden That'd be like trying to sell snow cones in Alaska but it might work.
I could watch y’all all day long , Al if your ever in the mood to replace your kubota tractor I’ll buy your old one in a heartbeat. And could you tell Mr. Bigs congrats on being a father... lol have a blessed day y’all.
Good-looking bacon

Queen Olivia!
If your bucket mounts like a bobcat bucket they have a rock bucket for picking rocks
