Shattered Peace I guess that by pinning your comment, TerraMantis is suggesting that it's our fault for not expecting spoilers because we searched for this vid. Well I came here because I *was* subscribed....
Everything seemed fine until the last part about Edward Kelly. If you happen to read this before watching, stop when you hear his name or be prepared for major story spoilers, not just the usual tips and tricks.
Are all of you blind as hell? First comment that is pinned is about the dude complaining about spoilers. As is every other comment on this board. And honestly it wasnt that big a spoiler, if you werent smart enough to figure it out anyway.
I got this a few days back, loving it so far but I'm still hitting circle to run and R1 to attack like a nab....All my DS training wasted :P Back to the Dojo!
A cool trick I learned has to do with those living statues. There's three ways to determine if they're an enemy. 1. Underneath their armor they aren't hollow. 2. They always have an intact sword and 3. Simply aim your ranged weapon at them. Gray and they're just a statue but red and they're an enemy.
This video has opened my eyes. I didn't know that you had to mimic the badger gestures to avoid a fight or even the right gesture towards the yokai wall to go free
In the umi bozu one, man was literally the definition of "work smarter, not harder" also: you can throw a rock at the face of a yokai demon thing to temporarily stun it
I come here because I like the way he pronounced 'Tachibana Ginchiyo'. Lol Also, though not plainly stated unless you read character bios in the game, Ginchiyo tragically passed away shortly after the battle of Sekigahara. During some new quests, Muneshige hints at her demise during your quest with him, and infers that she had passed away after the quest is completed.
That last fact on Kelley... Wow... I found it extremely interesting. For one, the fact that most of his real life inspiration fit rather well in this fantasied and epic story. I wonder what old japan thought of alchemy... And the fact that it could have been a clone all along *gasp* really got me.
Edward Kelley was known as a crook and indeed didn't mind dealing with demons. He was going around Europe promising monarchs that he would turn metals into gold thanks to alchemy. He was imprisoned and eventually died in prison when he couldn't produce the gold. John Dee was a brillant scientist and advisor to the queen in the expansion of Great Britain. He was eager to communicate with angels as well, however, not possessing the gift of sight, he called on Kelley to be his seer for several years. However, John Dee was a very devout man, and he's probably rolling in his grave at his depiction in the game, lol. Amrita is a known concept from 'Eastern' lore, with various interpretations of its nature. It is a sacred nectar that the gods drink. Alchemy tends to be different in East and West, though it is essentially a quest for immortality. It led some rulers to die by ingesting mercury. However, the transmutation of vile metals into gold is often thought as more of a metaphor, for a transformation of the practicioner, bringing light to the dark corners of his soul.
Tried using guardian spirit tomes on Hundred Eyes with Suzaku, and it's broken. How well it works on anything is simply broken. Thank goodness I've beaten it once without it.
People should stop being butthurt because of spoilers, you should expect that from a video titled: " things you dont know " people these days, man.... Btw great vid!
Lolol, the greatest thing that should've happened was, if you triggered Ginchiyo's secret dialogue about the hot spring, during the real Tachibana fight, he'd make an angry or joking remark about that lol.
Yeahh I got off ps plus too haha, I was originally waiting for it to go on sale but completely forgot about it, luckily nabbed it when it was free 😂 guess its because nioh 2 is out next month
this probably wont be seen by anyone but when you fought Umi-Bozu your guardian spirit attacked him without you activating it, how? I'm new and on Playstation.
Is there a lamp or object that allows you to see in the dark? it's because there are some places that are very dark and I get lost, and I am not even someone who gets lost in video games just because they are dark to see.
Wait, so the tanuki suit in Mario 3 that tail is actually Mario swinging hits nuts? Oh God, and the whole, turning to stone ability. What does it meeeeeaaaaannnn?
Wow, I totally didn't know about that the chests were different if they held a Tanuki. Also I wonder who thought of bringing Ginchiyo to the hot spring. Pretty funny easter egg.
Another hint to pick NPC revenants instead of only playing offline and, of course, the way their names are contructed (always well typed), is that they always have 5 red 'graves' beneath their names. This red graves appear in missions and are suposed to represent the level of difficulty (more red graves, the harder is the mission), and so they do for the revenant's difficulty, judging it by the amount of players defeated for summoning/challenging them. Whowever, finding revenants of players with 3 red graves or more is pretty rare, imagine 5. Through my 100+ hours of gameplay, I've found only 2, and they were in the "way of the strong" mode. So, when you see a 5 red graves revenant, it is safe to assume it to be a NPC.
Some corrections: the idea that more bloody grave (not "red graves") means harder revenants that won most duels, is something I came up with by myself. I haven't seen a soul talking about it anywhere, so take it with a grain of salt. But the rest is right. Also, online revenants have their names in white, time and date of death, while NPC revenants have their names red and they don't have time and date of their deaths.
Considering the various cultural artifacts that are shown on display during the final boss fight, there is at least shit going down in Egypt. I can't think of other locations hinted at, so feel free to add what you saw during the Final Battle.
Well, the character sheet in game does confirm (when you've done whatever you need to unlock that chapter) that the Edward Kelley in Japan is just another copy, so no need to speculate on that, but the history lesson is still solid.
i knew most of these and felt pretty proud when i figured them out on my own, kinda like the bands on a mimic chest or the scroll on nurikabe, but there were a few here i hadn't seen before and were so cool! haha i love how much im still finding in this game, the amount of hilarious revanants kill me.
4:31 Can't belive this shit..................................................................... The first time that i got there, there was no way out and i used a talisma to teleport to the last save point. It's odd, cause i remember running trough those walls and didn't find any circle "action" to activate. Awesome to know this.
Problem with fighting Umibozu in your video is the fact that player don't have Suzaku as a guardian spirit prior to fighting Umibozu; Suzaku comes into effect much later in the game.
To those who say "Why the fuck are you complaining about Spoilers on a "Things you didn't know" video" I say this. Through the video this "dude" states rather interesting non story elements of the game that isn't otherwise obvious. From wall demons, to chest jokers, to how the characters are of real life origin. Not one was inherently spoilery and was legitimately things one wouldn't know about Nioh even after playing it. The game has alot of lore based of japanese folklore that isn't obvious to the player. However the last point was an outright story elements. Those who played Nioh would most likely know that point, as its outright shown in game, per the cutscene he shows. While everything, from revenants to the wall demons can be explained through flavour text in the game if people chose to read, not everything would be obvious to the player, even if they beat it. Even your description is misleading. "but all of these Nioh topics are either obscure or widely unknown". Is something explained in the actual story widely unknown, or even considered obscure? It wasn't even all that big. Since bosses are based off japanese folkore, one could easily seen it coming just by playing the game normally even if half way through. The blatant misleading and the attitude afterwards deserve no mercy however. That was plain dickish. What this "Guy" did was essentially draw everyone in with actual good, interesting points. He did not put a first point as a spoiler to ward people away, he did not warn, he did nothing. He actually made a good video all the way untill the end, where he then slap viewers in the face with something spoiler-y. Afterwards, hes free to laugh at them all, while fan boys and those who just don't seem to have a heart defends his actions for him, without needing to himself. You can blame us for searching for it, but you sir, are not free of blame. The very content you provided is the proof. Just by watching point 1 to 9, you can plainly see the blatant misleading. No warnings or anything, till the very last point where immediately spoiler comes in. The fact its brung up so fast proves its either purposely orchestrated this, or this "content creator" was legitimately ignorant of what he was providing. Once again even the description of the video was misleading. You can say all you want a "Videos bout 10 things you dont know" could be anything, but then follows by "Obscure, or widlely unknown" With the keyword "ALL" is plain dickish. Its brilliant actually, its what a con artist would do. Make an actual good video and try to sweet talk people in with misleading information and theme. Go through with it all the way through so people watch the video, and then spoil it for them. Now you caused a controversy, but you got their views and clicks, and precious watch time. So uh... good on you "Guy". A shining example of an exemplary RUclipsr that all should strive for.
Kuro Kairaku I don't get the spoiler thing. playing the game I kind of figured out who the final boss was early on, and 1000 eyes is more of an option in my opinion.
Well, you have a point. People can figure out based in cues or even just using their brains that London is goign to end up being the final boss, but alas, there is no clear indication on what it is exactly. I should also note that it doesn't change the fact that its still onn the natural progression of the game. Its not a secret, and honestly its the next step as you play the game. you gotta go through with it just ge to get to way of the strong. The point in my message was that this guy purposely orchestrated his video to have this spoiler. Its a low blow. How did he? Refer to my original comment, but heres a short form. Point 1 to 9 was all legitimate things that people might have not known right away. Lore based stuff that would require quite the dedicated player to figure out. One who views the system information just to figure out that the "hat" was a ballsack, and etc. The final point is something you get within the story. Its not something you can ony find out by viewing the small text in a glosserary, but shown as a natural progression of the game. It was the only point that anyone could of seen. Without warning, this guy showed the climax moment, and a secret behind one of the antagonist as well. To make it worse its not like he was being silly or ignorant about it. He knew exactly what he was doing. When people rightfully complained, and politely too, he had the balls to say "Oh so it was a something you "Didn't know" about this game" Now it is some peoples fault for going into a video that show cases secrets of the games, but it is also true that not all secrets can be found easil yon a first or even second play through. Looking up things like this is alright, even during playing the game, because player interest is at its pique! Above all its just respectable to let people know of spoilers. Not everyone can play the game, and some might be watching videos because they are excited TO play the game soon. Wanting to know all the hard to know details of the games like how one of the chest monsters has a ballsack on their head. A harmless little detial that doesn't hurt to know at all. To be honest, I didn't even know that the wall monstrs actually had you choosing between 1 of 3 different type of emotes. I always thought you had to bow., till a saw one of these videos, not this one though. It was harmless and it helped me without immediately spoiling the rest of the game without warning.
Suzaku is ridiculous against any large enemy, or enemy that suffers knockback. Even if they resist fire, it tends to completely drain their stamina in one or two casts. It's just obviously most effective against large enemies that are also weak to fire, which also includes Orochi. William Adams was NOT the first western samurai. In fact, that would, to my knowledge, be Yasuke, the black samurai who served Oda Nobunaga (and who is also in the game as "the obsidian samurai"). Adams was the first ENGLISH samurai. Which is funny because in this game he's Irish, presumably because they wanted his guardian spirit to be a cute merrow (since he was a sailor and the merrow is arguably the cutest and friendliest creature of the nautical folklore of the british isles, even being said to intermarry with humans, but is from Irish, not English, folklore).
*major video/plot spoilers* K, I think maybe Kelly saying "I'm hollow" may be in reference to Dark Souls, as, after dying over and over and over again, the protagonist in those games 'goes hollow', or loses their humanity and goes insane. Just something to think about ;)
wow... I didn't knew you can wear off fire easily by rolling... dispite it should be obvious (It also works in Monster Hunter)... damn! Didn't knew about those Pollution buggers as well. I mean, I saw them, but never attacked them! Knew most of the others, still nice to see some of them elaborated on =D Good video!
TerraMantis Hey, I've been watching (and enjoying) your content since early destiny days, and although this video does include some spoilers , I've compiled a list of a SFW/NSFW so people would stop bashing you about spoilers. There's a post on the subreddit about your video, and if you're fine with it I can link my comment so you could either add it to the description, or not. I personally didn't mind the spoilers (except for #4 which made me die inside). Overall great video as usual, as a late-game player I actually found some stuff here useful. Keep up the great content man.
Hi, I definitely appreciate you taking the time to do all of that. But, it's not necessary. It's their own fault for coming into a video like this not expecting to have all aspects of the game potentially under discussion. It's like going to see the movie "Shoot 'em Up" and then complaining people got shot. In a week from now, after the game has been out a bit longer, not a single person here will be saying anything about "spoilers." Instead, in a few months after the DLCs expand the story, they'll tell me I'm stupid because they've now learned story details that there's no way I could have known them before the DLCs.
I'm loving Nioh even more now! As far as the big vein-covered nut-poncho badgers, I think the developers are trying to tell us that to play THIS game...you've got to nut up!
When I got to the hot spring her she got really embarrassed and said something to the effect of "are women like tbis in your land?" To funny. I cant believe you remembered the "Ambition of Nobunaga". William was really at Segikahara and was the one who shot a cannon at Hideaki's camp to get him to join the battle. Ieyasu was just sitting there drinking tea. I guess you don't read about that in the history books.
If you bow to a Kappa, would they bow in return? I think in mythology if you got them to bow, all the water would spill out of their head and they would be immoblized (hope I got that right
I kind a wish you would've gave a spoiler warning... but shame on me I guess for looking up this kind of content before I finish the game
Shattered Peace I guess that by pinning your comment, TerraMantis is suggesting that it's our fault for not expecting spoilers because we searched for this vid.
Well I came here because I *was* subscribed....
Simon Thornton same. I mean fool on me for wanting to support a content creator I like, am I right?
Simon Thornton I'm subscribed too but I didn't think he'd just throw key facts out there
Everything seemed fine until the last part about Edward Kelly. If you happen to read this before watching, stop when you hear his name or be prepared for major story spoilers, not just the usual tips and tricks.
Bit fucked up with the pin..
For the mimics, you don't have to match the exact gesture, you just need to play a gesture from the same category.
*90% of comments* : "HOLY SHIT SPOILERS"
*Me* : I... I beat the game
Me to. :)
But it's still a dick move. ^^
I don't see how how he spoiled it. How is it a dick move?
After 11 weeks, I really don't care anymore... xD
WARNING: Fact #1 is major spoilers!
stickmonkey33 Wish I saw your comment first lol
dude thank you very much
this comment needs to be pinned up top
Are all of you blind as hell? First comment that is pinned is about the dude complaining about spoilers. As is every other comment on this board. And honestly it wasnt that big a spoiler, if you werent smart enough to figure it out anyway.
Thanks for the warning
some of them were very interesting to know, I always thought the "Mimic's" were Mushroom looking things, guess it has balls after all :)
I got this a few days back, loving it so far but I'm still hitting circle to run and R1 to attack like a nab....All my DS training wasted :P
Back to the Dojo!

damn dude that last one was an outstanding spoiler
So what you're saying is... there was something you didn't know? Gotcha.
get good it's literally you're fault it's a 100% spoiler based show he even mentions at the beginning how he'll talk about the lore of the game.
+TerraMantis Savage
ReelyReed he mentions topics on the lore. Not spoilers for the story
What did you expect from this video telling you 10 things about the game you didn't know???
The sac fact was my favourite , thumbs up one of the best Nioh videos !
This video has opened my eyes. I didn't know that you had to mimic the badger gestures to avoid a fight or even the right gesture towards the yokai wall to go free

When I hear Oda Nobunaga it reminds me of Onimusha. That game and Ninja Gaiden was the reason I got this game. Brings back good memories.
7:21 holy shit! This is so funny!
2:55 that is intresting fact
7:00 i wish i never knew this
That last fact on Kelley... Wow... I found it extremely interesting. For one, the fact that most of his real life inspiration fit rather well in this fantasied and epic story. I wonder what old japan thought of alchemy... And the fact that it could have been a clone all along *gasp* really got me.

look, I know all, ok? I'm like, really smart. I know the best things. it's tremendous, really.
I always figure that spoilers are par for the course in these types of videos. I guess that not everyone thinks the same way.
Btw great vid!
i dont play it myself but now i might thanks for the tips
Kyan Sheffield lol same I didn't even know it was a game or a thing till now
Hi Steve
Hi David
David Stone im billy mays notice me :(
TerraMantis did you really have to spoil the last boss
Am I the only one who thinks the story Is weak :(
Lolol, the greatest thing that should've happened was, if you triggered Ginchiyo's secret dialogue about the hot spring, during the real Tachibana fight, he'd make an angry or joking remark about that lol.
I don't give a shit about spoilers, so the video was 10/10 for me.
Riley Kard Me too.
Once I heard last boss I just skipped some seconds
The water buff also makes you immune to the stench debuff.
I knew I wasn't alone in carrying my sack over one shoulder.
3:55 cool editing
That was actually rly cool , gj Mantis
2:36 that Ginchiyo pronunciation killed me.
Love this game and even more so it was a free download.
Hooked and raging
Yeahh I got off ps plus too haha, I was originally waiting for it to go on sale but completely forgot about it, luckily nabbed it when it was free 😂 guess its because nioh 2 is out next month
this probably wont be seen by anyone but when you fought Umi-Bozu your guardian spirit attacked him without you activating it, how? I'm new and on Playstation.

Wait, so the tanuki suit in Mario 3 that tail is actually Mario swinging hits nuts? Oh God, and the whole, turning to stone ability. What does it meeeeeaaaaannnn?
Daaaamn I've been holding out on those spirit talismans
Youve forgot that graveyards with a red name on it sometimes got dialogue or even custom armor to them.
Goddamn it dude. Hows about letting us know about SPOILERS.
to be fair you clicked on a video about stuff you didn't know.
ZeroHazard you do have a point but he should have still told us that there will be spoilers.
don't be a baby. This is the internet!
Isn't that given by the titel of the video?
Also don't watch videos about something you won't get spoiled, idiot
I love how some losers put "idiot" behind their crap, as if it's necessary.
3:08
Gotta love Tachibana. :D
When i looked at the character viewer i thought the mugina 'tail' looked a liitle too veiny loool
People complaining about spoilers in a video fu**ing called 10 THINGS YOU DON'T KNOW !...
Right? Like how stupid do you have to be?
Really helpful tips! Too bad you only get Suzaku much later in the game and not before Umi-bozu.
Knew most of the facts but your final take really makes sense. Didn't think about that and loved it.
Wow, I totally didn't know about that the chests were different if they held a Tanuki. Also I wonder who thought of bringing Ginchiyo to the hot spring. Pretty funny easter egg.
I like the hot spring one ;)
haven't heard of these before.
great video man 👍
Another hint to pick NPC revenants instead of only playing offline and, of course, the way their names are contructed (always well typed), is that they always have 5 red 'graves' beneath their names.

Interesting. I knew about some of the aspects you mentioned but not all of them.
I did not at all expect the final boss spoiler. It was just like BAM you know this now.
Considering the various cultural artifacts that are shown on display during the final boss fight, there is at least shit going down in Egypt. I can't think of other locations hinted at, so feel free to add what you saw during the Final Battle.
TerraMantis videos are always so good. Thanks for the info dude.
Thanks for spoiling the ending mate :)
MonsterTeegs hi
I knew all but how effective Suzaku is, I knew that thing was weak to fire but had no idea Suzaku would be that strong.
My Suzaku is level 30, but honestly it barely adds any damage to that attack. That bird just destroys Umi-Bozu.
this is an amazing game. i wished i wouldn't have waited so long to get it.
Which system do you play on?
@@TheDeathOfLucifer PC
Thank you SO SO much. I had spending 40 hrs on this game and never knew anything you just told.
It's amazing how deep this game is O_o
I destroyed the wall from the back and not looking for it, didn't know you can do that, most are blocked off.
Well, the character sheet in game does confirm (when you've done whatever you need to unlock that chapter) that the Edward Kelley in Japan is just another copy, so no need to speculate on that, but the history lesson is still solid.
I found it cool that you could go to the hidden teahouse and buy skins of characters to play as.
Thing 11. the battle on the bridge against the lone axe wielding revenant, is an homage to the fights against Gilgamesh from the Final Fantasy series.
Great video!!!! Cheers from Brazil
...Except you don't have access to Suzaku for your first Umi Bozu fight...
i knew most of these and felt pretty proud when i figured them out on my own, kinda like the bands on a mimic chest or the scroll on nurikabe, but there were a few here i hadn't seen before and were so cool! haha i love how much im still finding in this game, the amount of hilarious revanants kill me.
Damn! This video just made me aprichiate the game even more!
Hit 10001 like. Really worth it, nice job.
best Nioh tips video so far, great work !
4:31 Can't belive this shit.....................................................................
The first time that i got there, there was no way out and i used a talisma to teleport to the last save point. It's odd, cause i remember running trough those walls and didn't find any circle "action" to activate.
Awesome to know this.
Tachibana Jinseyoo? Ginchiyo, man...Ginchiyo...
Anyway, great video, keep up the good work.
I was eating at 7:11
Big oof
Problem with fighting Umibozu in your video is the fact that player don't have Suzaku as a guardian spirit prior to fighting Umibozu; Suzaku comes into effect much later in the game.
In the meantime, Kati is the best choice against Umi-Bozu
im a bit confuse on Edward Kelley when you say he was repeatedly. he was or he wasnt the things you said?
Ten things I don't know about this game -- I didn't know it existed.
I didn't even know that the nurikabe even existed
That mimic is pretty ballsy
Thank you so much for the Umi-Bozu tip! I'm having such a difficult time defeating it.
Ah yes, Shibusu was the only revenant who dropped me highest quality armor on first Mission so, thank you Shibusu!
To those who say "Why the fuck are you complaining about Spoilers on a "Things you didn't know" video" I say this.

It was the only point that anyone could of seen. Without warning, this guy showed the climax moment, and a secret behind one of the antagonist as well.
To make it worse its not like he was being silly or ignorant about it. He knew exactly what he was doing. When people rightfully complained, and politely too, he had the balls to say "Oh so it was a something you "Didn't know" about this game"
Now it is some peoples fault for going into a video that show cases secrets of the games, but it is also true that not all secrets can be found easil yon a first or even second play through.
*major video/plot spoilers*
K, I think maybe Kelly saying "I'm hollow" may be in reference to Dark Souls, as, after dying over and over and over again, the protagonist in those games 'goes hollow', or loses their humanity and goes insane. Just something to think about ;)
Stopped at the last point nr 10. I must admit I did not know any of the 9 before! Great vid.
There was only 1 fact in it I didn't know and it was one I now wish I didn't. Thanks for that. Take my like.
Emi Takei is Okatsu.
Thanks for the info. Didn't know some of this.
wow... I didn't knew you can wear off fire easily by rolling... dispite it should be obvious (It also works in Monster Hunter)... damn!
Didn't knew about those Pollution buggers as well. I mean, I saw them, but never attacked them!
Knew most of the others, still nice to see some of them elaborated on =D Good video!
also I read some text about john dee on the first level I think and assumed john dee would probably appear later in the game.
Well shit guys of course there is gonna be some spoilers, its a fcking top 10 list. Who would do a list as so without doing the full game?
I'm loving Nioh even more now!
As far as the big vein-covered nut-poncho badgers, I think the developers are trying to tell us that to play THIS game...you've got to nut up!
Love these videos you do!! Very deep and informative, thanks!!!
I saw number 7 in Throtghar's let's play. Made me crack up
Super cool stuff! Thanks man
When I got to the hot spring her she got really embarrassed and said something to the effect of "are women like tbis in your land?" To funny.
I think in mythology if you got them to bow, all the water would spill out of their head and they would be immoblized (hope I got that right
From all 10, only 4 I know...good to know
Great video bro
Love this channel

i was like
"how the fuck did you drown?"
