      Awesome just keep the list growing. I've been doing this for a few years now and I must say Govee is definitely in the top 3 in terms of connection, stability, app ease/layout, and certainly personality. I've never had a problem with any devices failing or losing connection so it's definitely a great brand to add to for your home.

    I recently upgraded as I got a larger tv, the T2 is much better.
    I had the t1 dialed in as good as you could, had it for a couple years and used it daily.
    Its taken me a bit to get used to the t2.
    I found I had to use the orange pads instead of the RUclips video I used with the T1, it just wouldn't calibrate properly, once the orange pads were on it literally self calibrated perfectly, the t1 you had to completely adjust them manually.
    The white balance was harder to get right, after that I find the color to be way more accurate then the t1.
    Much better orange and yellow, skin tones are light pink.
    It still really struggles with green though.
    There's also double the amount of leds so you get a way better seperation in colors, especially around the corners.
    I do find it very sensitive, if the screen is transitioning quickly alot it reacts very fast and almost flickers as its keeping up with the screen.
    Id recommend the T2 over the T1.
    I got it on sale and with a coupon i paid $150 CDN for the 75".
    The T1 75" version was $130 so it was a no brainer.
    The T3 is in development, has same amount of LEDs as the T1 but 4 colors per led resulting in supposed very accurate colors like the screen itself.

    Many users are wanting to know if you can put a backlight for 55-65 inch tvs on a 50 inch tv.What are your thoughts?I personally think you could np with a little bit of innovation and placement especially at the corners where you looped the cord

    • @threadchemistry
      @threadchemistry  7 месяцев назад

      Yeah you certainly could. Exactly like you said with the corners just make sure you tape them down otherwise you'll get a shadow on the wall since there's a little extra slack on each corner now.

    • @threadchemistry
      @threadchemistry  7 месяцев назад

      That wouldn't work bc the 3m is on the wrong side. You clip the strip in the front and the 3m on back so there's no real good way to be able to hold the wiring down if the 3M is on the opposite side. If that makes sense..
      Great question though.

    Hello. I just got a Govee TV Backlight T2 from a friend. I was unboxing the package and realized there is no stick on orange blocks in it. What should I do? Are the blocks necessary for the set-up?

    • @threadchemistry
      @threadchemistry  4 месяца назад

      They are just reference points to be able to spot those corners easier when going through setup. So technically you don't actually need them. If you could find something that you could put on each area of your TV where the orange foam pieces are supposed to go, you would be good to go. Probably something a little brighter so you can see it. Something that isn't going to stick to the TV and ruin it when you need to remove it. Maybe even some of those neon post it notes. The mini ones would probably work perfect.
      I hope that helps.

    • @threadchemistry

      Nope you will be good. When you set it up you have to select a coverage area for the camera. Basically a box aiming only on your TV. Even if the camera can see areas outside the TV it wont process anything outside of the box you build which should be around the edges of the TV. Make sense?

Im asking because Ive been told that you cannot plug an extension into those kits and the should be plugged directly into a wall outlet not a Power Kit. So it is an outlet. Just a "dented" mold, for lack of better words. You cut out a hole and instal the mold and run the wiring and it'll be flush with your wall so you can push tv back

If you don't have either though I'd say get the T2, or if u have the 55"-65" T1 on a 75" or 85" tv I would say upgrade if you like a lot of brightness. The T2 really illuminates out more.

    You think these would work on a projector screen?

    • @threadchemistry
      @threadchemistry  9 месяцев назад +1

      Technically you could make it work, but the LED strip for the back of the TV is a certain length. The largest being for 75"-85" TVs. So if you were to apply that LED to the back of the screen you could only place it in a square as big as the strip is. So the bigger the screen the smaller area the LED strip will cover which would block some of the color that reflects out.. So yes it could work. Would I do it? Prolly not.

    • @threadchemistry
      @threadchemistry  9 месяцев назад +1

      You most certainly could. But you wouldn't be able to use the full length for 3 sides since they're separated by wire for the corners of the TV. Like where you have to bend it. Plus how the camera reads. But if you give it a shot plz let me know. I don't recommend but I'm still super curious if you could rig something or trick the settings somehow. Hah

    Your saturation is completely wrong. It should be closer to one and your calibration should be done in a dark room.

    Лучше бы сделали два модуля с камерами. Один сверху, а другой снизу. А лучше было бы если в каждых углах по камере😏. А так это нестоит даже 50 долларов!

      It would be better to make two modules with cameras. One is on top and the other is below. It would be better if there was a camera in each corner(. But it doesn’t even cost 50 dollars!

      Bah.. Dude your jealousy is so transparent you even waste time commenting ridiculous sh*t like this. I understand you obviously know how pathetic you are, but can't do anything about it. As much as you try to be "cool" you know it'll never happen so you troll online for self-assurance.
      You should've just written that. The comment says everything about you. All you are is just a simple negative mistake. I feel for ya man. Wish u the best. Hope you can find the help you need.
      Hey, thanks for the comment though. Every comment helps. Much appreciated. Good luck.

    I have a corner tv. I wonder how well these Govee backlights will work with a corner set up.

      Hey (love "tattooed chicks" btw. 😁) Yes you will be perfectly fine in a corner setup. The light has to reflect back a little further so might give you a small lag but I'm talking such a short lag it's probably not even detectable by the human eye.
      So go for it girl.. ))
