How do you get your t1s to percive black? I have a problem where if there’s any black on the screen it dosent actually turn black or dim ,it stays the color it’s last seen there or a like whitish color
I'm sure this was a lot of work putting together especially swapping the light strips and editing together but I really appreciate this. I don't normally use affiliate links but this was so helpful I will this time.
Just ordered the t3 kit off of the govee home app. Only paid 70 bucks! Pretty excited to see the t3 compared to my t1 kit that I have currently owned for 4 yrs. The T1 still works fine but figured it was time for a upgrade!
My T3 lite performs completely different from the way the one in this demo does. I feel like something happened with your calibration or maybe they had a software update in between this review and when I installed mine. It was especially noticeable during the demo around the six minute 30 second mark. I play that same demo on my TV and the colors are so much more bright and the device reacts way faster and more profoundly, especially with the colors close to the edge of the screen.
The addition of the white LED was the main reason I upgradet to the t3 lite. As this was the only weakness of the T1 and also T2 as the white always had a tint to it no matter which white balance I put on
I was lookin for plug & play leds for my tv. govee seems way more simple! Compared to others, i haven't bought one yet, wish fancy leds box was internal for tv apps. Govee is winning in my judgment
Only drawback I have experienced is due to our wall color behind the TV. We are unable to compensate the colors projected by the LED strip. Would assume this would be a fairly easy feature for Govee to add to the calibration settings.

BTW I saw in another T3 (i think) review, that the LED strips don't go right into the corners of the screen, meaning the coverage there isn't so good. (I see it slightly in your setup, but in the other review it was really noticeable.) What's your take on that? Is that something you've noticed? I've got a 65" so there won't be any slack on the LED strips. Thanks
Not at all--but this could very well be because I have the larger strip (75"-85"), and my TV is a 70" (which is a lost spot there; they have 55"-75" or 75"-85". Decided to go bigger, but there was no issue with extra slack at all). Hello. Great video and very informative. I have just switched from the t2 to the T3 light. I switched mostly because of my massive frustration that I could never seem to get a proper red color and it was always displayed as a light pink. I have gone through so many tutorials and have never been able to find a proper way to fix this issue. I was hoping that it would have been different with my T3 lite, but even as I watch your video I see the Reds on the T3 lite are not really a full red on the spectrum as opposed to a lighter pink.
If you have any suggestions on how I could correct this I would greatly appreciate it. Nonetheless, great video and I'm now a new subscriber.
Great review!
Question. Could I use a Govee SyncBox with the T2 or T3? I run everything through my Apple TV, so not worried about other sources.
Not an expert here, but if you have already the syncbox I think having the cameras have no purpose.
I have the T1 for years now i hide the camera on the bottom behind my center speaker of my 5.1 system! My colors look great overall but my question is can you put the camera of the T3 light on the bottom or does it have to be on top of the screen???
No the T3 can only be placed on top of the TV, at least officially speaking.
@@RawansReviews and unofficially speaking😀?
@@thomas.J.K1978 Well I didn't test it unofficially speaking, so can't speak to that. In theory it's supposed to be on top. Whether it is possible to tweak it in a way to put it on the bottom, could be...
@@RawansReviews Of course it can be on the bottom as well. Just what is right is left and vice versa. Because if you think about it, what is the difference between the top and the bottom?
Answer, if you cannot sense the gravitation, then nothing. The other thing to think about is the angle of the camera, you have to make sure the angle is correct.

Does T3 Lite happen to sync with Govee’s smart light bulbs? I’m getting mixed answers about their newer devices no longer syncing with all their other ones.
For anyone wondering: yes, it does. But the light bulbs can no longer be used individually as they become a part of DreamView.
Wall near Tv: T3
Wall far away from TV: T2 😉
Not at all--all 3 were installed simultaneously, and the TV never moved afterwards.
I have the t1 on an 82-in Samsung and I'm getting an 85-in Samsung I am now moving the t1 to my basement TV my '82 inches dead and I'm getting the t3 for the new 85-in. I figure new TV new lights
what was the film showing looks badass
That was Avengers Infinity War
When will TV manufacturers just build this in to TV's
They have a tv like that out already
Philips Ambilight TVs have that, but agreed would be nice to see other manufacturers implement that too
T2 is better! The T4 will be a mix of the t2 and the t3 you’ll see ill wait for the 4
T3 is now for me 88 pounds vs T2 is 129 just wondering
Can u just tape the T2 or T3 on the bottom of the TV?
No I tried the colors won't be accurate and makes the viewing experience worse
PLEASE Dont use this Foam Pads!!!! Here is a Video that you can Pause and Calibrate your Govee Cam this way otherwise you can Damage your Display. @RawansReviews And all other People.
Question: do only certain lights work with certain models? I bought the 3s and can’t seem to sync any lights to it
What are your trying to sync to them?
@@RawansReviews I originally bought the 75-85” smart tv backlight 3’s’ from Best Buy and some light bars but couldn’t get them to sync. The sales guy helped me do research and said I needed either the 3 lite (w/o the ‘s’), or the T1, T2 models for them to sync with . I’m super confused and tired of having to buy and return , this is already my third time
Would this work ok with a cheaper tv like the onn Roku 55”
Yes should work with any TV!
great content, suprised so few followers?
Thanks! I do my best with the content, but the journey of growing my follower base has been a long and painfully-slow one 😅 🤷♂️
Man the t2 showed wasn't right no way my T2 was so much better then what you was able to show off t2 is a better option then 3t lite
2021/22 not 2001/02
Correct. That was a blunder and I pointed that out in the description
T1 2001? T2 2002? Huh??? Lol
Oh boy… that was supposed to be 2021...2022..! 🤦♂️😂
@@RawansReviewsI was going to say …. 2001?! HAHA
Or just buy a Philips with the ambientlight technology
But for those who already have a TV they don't want to replace quite yet, this might be a good retrofit ;)
the T1 And T2 both came out in 2022, not 2001 and 2002. Alot of your information is wrong, and your making up words that don't exist (gravitational camera).-
It was 2021 and 2022, which if you check the description I corrected that blunder right after publishing the video. And Govee themselves use the word “gravitational camera” to describe this. What else you got?
@@RawansReviews you know you can put some anotaitions over that section of the Video, or use the built in editor to agust that, overall easy fix. Oh btw on Govee's website is gravitational hanging, but it's there wonky wording not yours. I'm not try to be a ass just pointing out facts, and we all mess up at times.
