Neil Young is an artist, a lead guitarist, a front man, a singer, a leader, a musician, a composer, a charismatic idol and a DREAMER. That's a lot for a single man, thank you Neil.
And a movie theam writer , >Dead Man
And a hypocrite.
Lets not get carried away with the leader thing , a musical genius but a liberal cry baby gasbag
A genius

I owned a bakery in the 80’s working six days a week, fourteen hours a day and on Saturday I would crash in bed at 10 am playing “ Hey hey my my “ loud as possible and I would fall asleep to it.Neil Young saved me from an over work breakdown.

Crazy Horse with Neil, Billy, Ralph and Poncho have to be the dirtiest rock n roll band ever surely? That sound is just pure amazing. Nothing like it.

Like A Hurricane has never not blown me away
Thanks for the video. It was nice watching this. On my way to Newport Beach this morning You’re right this is the best version. This is Neil Young in top form with an awesome version of Like A Hurricane
Thanks for watching and commenting. I hope you have a nice time in Newport Beach
This Man is incredible, his feeling and groove is the rarest any musician could hope for.
Crushed glass and barbed wire no other person can make a guitar sound like that. Fantastic, unique and raunchy.
it is pretty easy actually. This version has a new thing that isn't on other material even... can you hear it>?
Neil Young seems to have the unique ability to enter a self induced trance that takes his mind into another world where his soul takes over and incredible music emerges.
Yes, as did Jimi.
He does.
Sounds about right
And mine from whenever I start listening! Its a weird thing with me. 1971 started.
Such a good comment, I’ve always thought all the greats do this exact thing you state.
If there's ever a musical god he's called Neil Young. I've seen him many times at a concert and it alway's blew me away.
Neil makes his les Paul come alive, what a sound!
Greetings from the Netherlands
Just listening to the whole audience singing with Neil on "Heart Of Gold" was so beautiful. Neil's music touches the heart like no other.
Oh, hell yes! That was purely wonderful.
PRICELESS!!!
I was there. Absolutely loved it
@@liampbrowne5299 lucky you!!!
After reading several negative comments about Neil Young's guitar playing and singing, they probably are comparing him to so many other musicians they prefer to listen to. Fair enough. However, they probably don't appreciate him enough for being such a very great songwriter who still can "Keep on Rockin' in The Free World..."
Great...Neil Young ✌️✌️

As a guitarist he was very limited, but I like the songs!

What a masterpiece from the King of Distortion! Amazing to think how old this song is....
I wish Neil would come out of his shell! One of the greatest. Mr Young is in a class by himself
I've been with him since I purchased 4 Way Street at 14. Out in AB I've managed to see him 9 times: 1991 was my favourite with Sonic Youth when he opened with Hendrix's Star Spangled Banner. F'n amazing live. Thanks for sharing. Hope he has some touring still in him. He'll certainly be involved in Willy's 90th B-Day.
Neil Young exemplifies solitude despite his popularity with so many generations and still defies the establishment. Good man brother.
I’m I the only one that thinks Neil’s guitar tone is exquisite
That LP with Bigsby plus mini humbucker and P90 through his original 57 Tweed Deluxe… yeah- damn, it’s something special.
It's so... crunchy!
Nope! I love it too
god,no..love his tone..!
Not at all! It's quite remarkable....you can always tell a Neil Young song by the guitar style. Love it!
It's fantastic the way Neil can slide up and down and make it sound great
I saw Neil in Stockholm 1972, it was something crazy about the atmosphere, it was lite a vortex, the agressive sound from his guitar and also his simple acoustic parts...we were in heaven

He didn't perform in Europe in '72.

@@thomaspuhringer8332 I was at the consert and i have recording from it. Johanneshov in Stockholm. I maybe get the years wrong but between 73-76 the consert was in stockholm and i remember the views from the evening papers when they came from Kopenhamn which was like a witch fair. Never been to a consert and listen to the noise from the crowd it was something else that night
i managed to sneak in that night, noticed the day wristbands were red and a flyer i got given was nearly the same colour, so cut it size and used silver gaffer tape to fashion the connector and in i went with a bottle of strawberry wine tucked in waist band

He had been very hard on the horse for 2-3 years by this stage, pretty.much told them to up their game ( not for the first time ) but the horse being the horse rose to the occasion and both pushed each other on.
When Neil Young, Keith Richards and Paul McCartney are no longer with us, the era of Rock will be over.
Dont you dare even go there 🙄
Daltrey, Townshend, Ray and Dave Davies….We still have some legends around
Wait!!! Gilmour and Waters belong on there too.
And Ronnie Pickering ……legend !!!
People play these for your kids and tell them this is REAL rock n roll. No auto tune or lipsyncing to backing tracks. ROCK N ROLL CAN NEVER DIE
Better than everything today! Tough my heart so much!❤
I Neil a few times over 50 years .
This was the best I'd seen him .
Another artist that is the reason Rock and Roll will Never Die. Awesome performance
I like my rock guitar gritty, raw, rough, and real!
It is about every 10 years since 1970, Neil Young and Crazy horse
"Live at the fillmore east march 6 & 7 1970" in which he takes his studio and unreleaseded songs and lights them afire into stunning and beautifly monstrous
Masterpieces. Re-masterpieces, really. Like the Phoenix. New life, turning the knob to 14. Maybe close to every 8 years. If you haven't heard "Le' Noise" WOW, 33 minute miracle played live with Crazy Horse but in something like a garage. I was floored and it seemed like there was no chorous' it just rolled forward with a force rarely felt, heard or seen. And very coherent.
Try it if you dare. 33 minutes for life. Geffen, eat you're heart out with your ridiculous lawsuit. Those albums are classics now; Like an Inka.
Uncle Neil will never die!

My FAVOURITE fellow Canadian! Rock on, eh?
My biggest musical regret is not seeing Neil with Crazy Horse in the 90’s.
At least we have some great video, which we can play loud and on repeat
Wow, my condolences. Saw them in 1991 right after the Gulf War started. The loudest and most intense concert I've ever seen. Social Distortion and Sonic Youth were the opening bands. Yes, they were loud, but when Neil and the Horse came out and launched into Hey Hey My My, it was so deafening and distortion drenched that the younger black shirted teenagers near us looked shocked with awe, mouths open. I think their nads shriveled up to the size of chick peas. Neil's guitar was channeling his outrage and anger. Incredible.
Saw them again the year after this, 1997. I wished I could have seen this 96 tour, I have some great recordings of this tour that will blow out your speakers. This is one of them.
The tour that I really regret missing was the short 1989 Tour with the Restless. Just a sonic assault on the recordings I have, but not much good video I've ever found.
