I played this song on repeat as my Dad lay dying in 2002. The 1st note brings tears of remembrance. This is without a doubt the most underrated of Neil's tunes. Thank you Neil!
First heard Neil playing this at the Pepsi Center in Denver, CO, in 2002. He was accompanied by Crosby, Stills and Nash. I had never heard such a huge place and crowd vibrating that much. It took me by surprise. Immense sound. I saw myself on the Custer's battlefield. I was there for real, several times. I had read detailed stories and accounts about Custer as a young kid back in the early 70s. I returned to the battlefield in 2005. That song kept ringing in my hears, in the now peaceful and silent rolling hills.
Neil is the god of rock music. Always true to his craft and the ultimate professional musician. A fan of his since back in the 70s and even more so now . Such a dynamic performer . No one like him or will ever be . Long may you run my old friend .
I think Going Home is one of Neil's most impassioned songs ever to be captured by a recording device. It is a grossly underrated and underappreciated song of his.... along with No Hidden Path but that's another story
Younga mozna sluchac wszedzie o kazdej porze dnia i nocy ...ja Neila slucham juz 55 lat codziennie chociaz ze dwa trzy numery bo inaczej mam zjebany dzień ✌️🎸- Rengi from poland 👍👋👋👋
One of the most incredible live performances that he and his great band ever did...a great musician, composer and performer...thanks for posting this, well done..
Neil as only Neil Can Be. AMAZING!!! A Canadian who in his career experienced Americanization but loves the people he plays for.Art and the things he may have found in art rising above $$$$$$ Neil Is Indelible...Neil has always risen above the money..True to Himself and the Cause He States as the MUSIC!!! Love Neil!!!!!!
Neil Young shows again what it is to play with passion. Even though there are many who point out that he can’t do this or that on guitar, he’s got the ability to use everything he knows to express all that he feels. That’s what makes the vocal performance, the driving rhythm playing, and the aching solos all so glorious. Sad to see Peggy singing in the background after all that’s happened since. But still, it was a real moment of glory.
@@osmanzeytullayev2063 That’s one of those questions, Osman, which I feel it would be impossible to answer even if you were NY’s friend. The part of the story which he was willing to make public is told in the songs of his album Storytone, much underrated.
@@osmanzeytullayev2063I’ve always thought that this song was about his relationship with Pegi. Neil was living in a rental at the time, he’d split with Pegi to give her space, was desperate make it work

é de arrepiar... todo o sentimento que ele coloca nas musicas, em cada nota e o conjunto com a banda, fazem cada instante toda uma historia, um lapso de tempo que se perde no eterno...
I remember distinctly this being the best song by far off this record when it came out. It's the only song I've consistently listened to from it after all these years. I stumbled onto this live version about a month ago and I keep coming back to it. I've watched it 5 times all the way through lol, so thanks for posting it. Such an epic performance. He's got tons of them, but another underrated one is "Like A Hurricane" off the Berlin DVD. I know a lot of people avoid it because they don't like "Trans" but I always find myself watching that DVD every couple years because that performance is so awesome.
Looking forward for the next REPLAY event fans, who was there in the audience come back and sing along some more, dedicated those brave ones having no fear of doing a vaccine to become Covid immune and giving us a hope getting out of this global apocalypse once for all

Far and away the best song off of the rather boring, Are You Passionate album. It was the only NY & Crazy Horse track on it. Taken from the yet unreleased Toast sessions. This live version is really beautiful.
Neil Young é João paulo da rocha, meu tio homem destemido e l.Sangue de Hebreu assim como moises jose de oliveira este não perdoa. Joao paulo da rocha tinha sangue de andino silvicula. Que meu eterno criador o ampare em seus braços

Neil at his absolute FINEST, as always! What an underrated gem this cut is!

Neil Young is playing this like his fighting for his life - I love it.
as he almost invarioubly always does
He is.
Yeah no kidding! I've never seen anyone who feels their music like Neil .
At 6:00 minutes , Billy Talbot shakes his head no and turns towards Neil as if to stop a raging buffalo!
Or maybe he was creating that big blast of feedback!
Amazing ✌️ Amazing ✌️ Amazing ✌️ Was für ein abgezocktes grandioses Gitarrenspiel ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️... von Superstar Neil Young ✌️
If Neil Young would have never existed , then, He should have been invented. My number one since 40 years .
I have often said, "And on the seventh day, God created Neil Young."
Indeed! The greatest singular force in rock history.

I agree! Two of his absolute best! Lyrically and sonically!
it is SO underrated, one of my top 20 from him, for sure. Up there with Interstate, this version: ruclips.net/video/xc65mHWrS1k/видео.html
