The Range Rover P38 EKA entry code procedure!
Land Rover / Range Rover, have somewhat frequent problems!
One of the most annoying things is probably the "EKA" Key lockout... Or more simply, an anti-theft device that stops you from being able to start the car.
The problem is that this system is not very reliable. MANY people experience this all too often!
The solution is to enter an EKA code. But do you have it? Must be available from Rover dealers!
The actual job of entering the code is straightforward enough. But huff so annoying, if this happens often!
    -----------------------------------------------------------

The videos are made by an untrained mechanic! All the videos are therefore to be regarded as my own experiences, and no conclusion. The videos show what I have done, and the result does not always have to be as desired. Sometimes things go directly wrong, and then I try to find out what went wrong, and try to set a better example so that others will not have to make the same mistake as me.
The videos were filmed by myself, and it may have been unknowingly missing to include ALL the details. I try my best to find out what I do and what I find out. But getting cameras in the right places is not always easy!
Very important!!! Do not take any chances with safety, neither your own nor anyone else's! Never work under a car, without and double security. Things can happen, so you must always have extra safety in case something should break or overturn, etc.
Working on cars poses a danger no matter what. So be aware, and if you do not feel 100% sure of the result, rather ask others to help you or double check what you have done, before you expose yourself and others to danger!

looking at the warnings on the dash did you let the battery run low.

      Hello.
Yes, it has had a dead battery!
It is not drivable, and is waiting for me to have time to fix it more.
The biggest problem is dead air suspension... Or it can be as "simple" as that it must have a reset of the air suspension control. But I haven't found anyone nearby who has the necessary equipment, without having to put it in a workshop.

@@bildillamagasin Air suspension on a p38 is great if working properly, maybe consider putting it on springs, then you just need to fit a loom on the BECM, to bypass the air suspension to avoid constant warnings messages on the dash. Mine has been on springs for years, might not be for the purest owners but it works well.

I have a P38, which is original looking!
See video of it here: ruclips.net/video/mnQH5K3d2As/видео.html
On this car, ALL of the air suspension has been removed.
But I could imagine knowing how they should work!@@chrisgreenwood271

@@bildillamagasin don't see that many manuals, mine is a 2000 model, Auto 2.5, it has a quality tuning box fitted, it can get up and go when needed, just over 29 MPG with mixed driving.

I bought it cheap too, 2-3 years ago. Ended up with a little too many projects, and we have struggled with illness in the family... Everything depends on what was planned.
But I can hardly remember and have seen any manuals in Norway either.
The green one is probably the car I would most like to fix up. But like the interior of the other car better. But then it becomes a matter of adapting and possibly moving over electric windows etc etc... Very uncertain!@@chrisgreenwood271

      Hello.
I was a little too fast when I tried the first time. Had to take more time, between hosted numbers. I think I got it right on the second try. Or was it the 3rd?
Try again! Better luck on your next try!
Hope you have the right code!

Same issue, where can I find my code?

    • @bildillamagasin
      @bildillamagasin  4 месяца назад +2

      Hello
I found my code in the service booklet folder luckily. The code was then written into a small card that was in the folder.
Otherwise, I have been told that you contact your local Land Rover dealer and get the code from them.

    What is the Nr

    • @bildillamagasin
      @bildillamagasin  5 месяцев назад

      Good day.
every car has its own number.
Fortunately, I found a card with the number in the booklet with manual / service books.
If it is missing, it should be possible to get the number from the Land Rover dealers.
I have not heard of any common number, but if anyone has heard of this, it would be very nice to have information about this!
