      I've owned a number of force-induction cars; turbo and supercharged.. and nothing (IMO) is near as much fun as a high HP N/A build.

    Prefer the smooth lines of natural aspiration. No extra things hanging of just one jewel in the crown... Oh and 623 BBC and 900hp on pump gas.. e85 oh yeah.

    You forgot to mention to split your main and rod bearing oil clearance number in half, because you are checking the inner diameter, not the clearance between the surfaces. I learned this on our Chevy 230 i6.

    Aftermarket casting heads would be better imo but hey i think it will still outperform above all expectations

    Always wondered how they knew the clearances would grow exactly so many tho when it is running and hot.
    Guess they have a little bot with a little Mike in there that does that.

    Wait so you can run aftermarket connecting rods with an OEM forged LS/7 crankshaft without doing anything to the rod journals ???? Just rebalance the crank is all ??

    That's a pretty similar cam spec as I'm running (253/267 .665/.665 116+6). But I built my "LS7" to 502ci. That's a lot of cam for 7 liters.
    When the customer gets annoyed by the giant gap between 4th and 5th because the motor won't cruise under 2K RPM, the close ratio ZR-1 transmission will take care of that. You can get a built 6060 with 3.90 gears for the low low prices of only $16K from RPM transmission. (ask me how I know).
    Now to to go find the video of how it dyno'd and drove...

    All your N/A builds get 13.1 compression? I’m guessing with the big cam overlap you can run pump gas.

    What’s the RPM redline on this motor, the new pistons are lighter than stock? But the stock rods weren’t sufficient or needed to be replaced? Love the enclosed dry sump, and what’s the power goal?

      Engine should easily make 650whp
      New redline probably 8,200. However the long runner manifold the customer will be running will limit it to 7,400 before running out of air. With a larger plenum/shorter runner manifold the engine could easily turn 8,000 & make big power

    is the term at TDC "quench" or "squish" for compressed volume? I knew a high performance jetski engine builder that called it the "squish" volume. Which is correct? Both?

      Squish is technically only the small part between the piston and head that‘s not connected to the combustion chamber volume

    Where did you buy a new LS7 Chevy Gen IV block? As far as I know, Chevy performance no longer sells the LS7 427 production block.

      @@stephennummie7631 It takes 850-900rwhp to run 8.99 in a full weight c6 z06 if its converted to a th400 or powerglide. I dont think there is a single c6 z06 reliably in the 8s for many runs with the 6 speed manual on corvetteforum.

    You can save the block ,you just do not know how. And you are reusing the crank,and did it wrong,good luck it running lone time ,and you lost 50 hp without starting.
