I know this is an older video but how is that a 9ah battery when it clearly states its a 1.5 ah battery. Connected in parallel it would only be a 3 ah battery. Still a cool build and great info.
Awesome . A co worker gave me one and am looking forward to the mods am planning for it . Your video inspires me. Btw 50 is not old at all am 58 years young. It's all in the mind. Lol.
So glad I came across your video! I’m got a used E300 and I want to overvolt the stock motor with a 36v 9ah battery with a new variable speed . I just want to go for longer distance and make it up some small hill...I’m not going for speed. I’m switching to lithium batteries like yours. Can you please do a video on how to connect the batteries in a series and with what connections you used batteries, connections to the control box, and do you still use a 14 gauge wire? I tried searching for e300 upgrade vid but they all talk too fast and the instructions are not very clear. Do you have any suggestions able the amount of amp on the battery so I don’t burn out the stock motor? Thanks!
You must connect the battries in parallel not in series for a 36v set Also you will need a 3way parallel plug. Check out my other scooter videos for more information
I just ordered the mod kit for mine. Variable speed throttle on ebay looking forward to getting started.also ordered the 65t sprocket wheel. The one you have seems too close to the ground may damage if a blow out or flat occurs.
Darren Jackson you are going for reduced speed I am increasing mine. Lol Look at this on eBay Razor Pocket Mod Rocket Variable Speed Kit - throttle controller, electrical kit
I was going to buy that for a 10 year old, but decided against it for the chain---too noisy. I wanted to do the mods like you did. I wound up getting the GoTrax V2 for the kid. I'm getting a Dualtron for myself.
noisy motor..no good..I have to replace motor probably 3kw and extend the frame rear end replace also chain and sprocket 44T and motor sprocket install additional 5v/12v LED lights
There's only 200watt motors in a Wheelchairs ( but 2-ea)..it's gear for torque. The wheel chair it self wieght 100lb..it'lny do 5-6 mph. The stock motor...sort of struggle with me on it...From time to time...bmaybe it just needs new brushes Im only 145lb i just went ahead and got 1000watt 48V motor and set up...It's still only $80 It'll have more torque and speed...Plus alot of it ..is I wont be over working the motor and batteries..I dont have to go fast all the time. It's actaully better to have this than a car where I live..At 20 Mph... I can beat auto to final distentions...i dont have to fight..traffic or parking. i wish i had it ..when I lived 3 miles outside of town.... After my car broke. (i had to walk to the store 3 miles each way every other day to the store to get light supplies)...I'd just mount a small hook..so i can tie a wagon..to haul stuff..if I need to .lol It's something good to have..even in SHTF..Use solar to charge the batteries.. if i have to. i got 2-ea fore FREE :-P .
I would looooove to know where did you get that 36v 350w motor for $30. I've been looking everywhere and the cheapest I can find is $70 Please post the link to the store you got it from
Hello, go to Monsterscooter.com, model number MY1016, its a 36v 350 watt 12.8 amp 2750 rpm motor. $44.99 current price. I got mine scratch and dent for $29.99. I would recommend a 65t sprocket because the 80t sprocket is too close to the ground...but you do get awesome torque. I hope this helps you out.
Just bought a like new E300 for $80 off Craig's list, the guy won it in a raffle, and have stripped it. Replacing the motor with a 48v 1000w, new variable speed throttle and speed controller and four 14.8v lithium batteries. I don't want to go fast either but do want to go uphill at maybe 15mph to give the dog a good run. She has too much energy and just walking doesn't cut it. So it's really for her more than me. I have a 3000w bike.
Pretty sweet. I'm actually in the process of gathering the parts I need to mod the razor pocket mod scooter. Not trying to go fast, 14 is good enough, all I'm really interested in is the range. I'm trying to go 30miles. How much do you get out of those tiny ones?
You may have to make the chain a bit longer I'm not sure but I think the best option is to go with the 65T rear sprocket which means you will have to have a longer chsin
I'm sorry help me understand how a 36v battery pack would burn up a 24v controller when the battery pack can only get 24v of power from the controller to the battery.
I ordered an 1800w 48v motor, a 32amp controller, a 38tooth back sprocket and 11tooth motor sprocket and an 18ah lithium battery. Got the scooter for free so figured why not throw $300 into it to make it ridiculously fast. thinking I might want to get good health insurance as a cherry on top though cause that first wreck is gonna huuuuurt
You have the right idea every youtube video is speed upgrade I want range and hill eater
Hello ! I Eventually ended up using a 65T rear sprocket and it works great for hill climbs and slower speeds around 14mph.
what about two lithium bottle batteries mounted to the battery box sides
Damn i want a trail scooter
Lol yup its a lot of fun.....my top speed is 10mph as of today with the 80t sprocket. I will probably go to a 65t for a bit more ground clearance.
Scooters are cheap used

I wish there was a usb c mod so you can charge it super fast bc mine takes around 10 hours stock to full battery.

Nikko Gutierrez cool bro. I am going to order the 65t too. But I love the torque of the 80t. The variable throttle is awesome.

I find those all the time at donation drop-offs.. I gut'em and have a ton of parts. Wanna build an R2-D2 like droid.
R2 droid love to see it when it is half done...

Do you think the frame actually hold more than 220 pounds, and it only recommended that weight capacity because of the motor, and not the frame?
My brother weighs 250 and it pulls him around fine with the 350 watt motor upgrade. The 220 limit is due to the 250 motor.
Go with s 65t rear sprocket....its a good balance

Hill climbing monster 👍
Yea I want to eat the hill no problem
I reccomend using the 65t sprocket....you get more ground clearence.
Yes looking on ebay good amount Craigslist near me over priced junk
You say it’s cheap I say it’s a lot of money I can only afford a e90 for my brothers birthday
What batteries are those? Can you provide some details about them? Ebay has a million but not this size.

Darren Jackson how long is the ride 30min 45min??
elisendo pruneda it depends on how you ride it. I would say over 2hrs. It tops out at 10mph acording to my speedometer app.

How many teeth does the sprocket have?
80T BUT please go with the 65T , the 80t will scrape the ground when corning

I'm actually in the process of gathering the parts I need to mod the razor pocket mod scooter. Not trying to go fast, 14 is good enough, all I'm really interested in is the range. I'm trying to go 30miles. How much do you get out of those tiny ones?
With 3 4.4ah packs you can get 16 to 18 miles at moderate speeds so you will need like 6 4.4ah packs to get 30 miles.
So how can you get the chain on is so big ?
That stock motor would have been better
Did the 350 fit perfectly. Did the holes line up with the frame and motor. And can i use the same stock sprocket?
Yes the 350 moto was a direct fit. The 350 comes with an 11t sprocket. I don't know if sthe stock sprocket will fit due to the motors being different.
You may have to make the chain a bit longer I'm not sure but I think the best option is to go with the 65T rear sprocket which means you will have to have a longer chsin
Where do you buy the batteries and how do you hook it up in parallel?
Parallel is positive to positive , neg to neg. Same voltage.
But if you have 9 ah wouldn't you go less distance??????????? why not put 12 or so ah ?
I didn't have the money at the time
@@darrenjackson6207 couldn't be a better answer :)
Why did you go to the 65 sprocket? Not enough speed?
The big sprocket was too close to the ground. 65 t is just right
