- Been wanting to do a stand-up scooter build, just to change things up from my usual Razor MX650 / MX500 projects. Luckily I got a generous donation from @Flex-E-Moto (Jacson Crider) so I can start another build for y'all. In this video, I'll be removing all the factory 24V Drivetrain components and converting this scooter to run on a 52V Brushless hub motor.
Everything used on this project (So Far):
. Razor E325 24V Electric Scooter: amzn.to/44zyZbR
. Razor E300 (Same Thing): amzn.to/46XBCpt
. 10" 48V 500W Hub Motor w/Tire: ebay.us/6PdF4i
. 48V 1800W Brushless Controller: ebay.us/tdPmDE
. Twist Throttle w/Key Lock: amzn.to/3KknCN0
. CYCPLUS GPS Speedometer: amzn.to/44GY3O7
. TOBWOLF MTB Mechanical Disc Brake: amzn.to/3q443Sa
. Skateboard Grip Tape: amzn.to/43PshNR
. Super Bright LED Handlebar Light: amzn.to/44O3MSc
. 52V 20AH 50A Lithium Battery (One I Used): amzn.to/44L9MeI
. 52V 20AH 50A (Alternative Option): amzn.to/3OA6rt9

Amazing vids buying a 72v kit off Amazon for my mx 650 because of u LOVE THE Razor content u should mod a razor quad next!!!
Glad to hear my work is appreciated! Good luck with the build! Also I'm currently working on a TESLA Cyberquad.. I just put it together for my coworker in the last video.
@@PatOutdoors thanks man!!!
Still waiting on the E- 40kw ! Make it happen capt. !
Damnit I so appreciate you pushing this content out for us! I know it’s not easy but I appreciate it man! Reminds me of how I started Watching Surronster from the start. I can see where this is going! Keep it up man! I pretty much literally watched all of your vids at this point as well lol
I appreciate you watching my content!! Got lots more coming as always..
Ive a e300 Razor that just built for my son. 24v 500 watt controller with 350 motor. New throttle. Itll do 13/14 mph with my son. I really want to build my own electric scooter from scratch.
Omg I’ve the same kinda project with those older Ravor can’t wait to how it preforms.
Much needed dual hub
Nice that's awesome man 👍
Wow this is dope the hub motor sheesh😁😁
Loving this! I can't do stand up scoots, I'm really considering hub motor'n my pocket mod, over a 1020 swap now
Hmm I don't have experience with pocket mods OR this hub motor. We'll see.. at least the MY1020 you can swap out sprocket sizes if you want to alter the speed. It is what it is with a hub motor
You should do a dual hub motor That would be sick
Let’s Go!!!! Waiting on seller to get back from out of town and I’ll have 3 of these for $60! Going to upgrade and beat it to death. Ha
Nice build i did build one to but with a mobility scooter I added a 800w hub motor and a 52v battery it goes 65 kmph but i had the same controller as you it is a square wave and it made a very high vibration on startup and the hub motor was heating up very fast i changed the controller to a sine wave one and it takes longer now before my motor heads-up.
Appreciate the info! Yeah I wanna take this thing out for a first ride and just get an idea of how the controller acts.
Great vid. Where did you get the wheel spacers?
Anderson connector? Bro. Thats what I use for my charge ports 😂😂
@@Vmaxfodder what’s wrong with it?
@PatOutdoors nothing whatsoever. 50x54 amps is not pushing the envelope whatsoever. If you ran 2 hub motors? It would be x7 the acceleration. I built a 40kw footscooter but had to turn it down to 28kw because it was too violent in acceleration. I'm using 4ga welding wires and 175amp anderson. I love Anderson connectors ! Rated @ 600volt ! Be careful on that tiny monster bro. I love the repurpose builds !
YOU INSANE PAT
😂
the battery looks like might fight.,, (or slide) . but aint gonna be like other scooters
I just bought the same hub motor and the controller you have in your link and it’s not working the throttle voltage comes on when I click the switch to on but when I press throttle I get no response any recommendations would be appreciated.
What hapened to the TTR E YAMAHA PROJECT ?
Awesome little ripper.
Nothing! I’ll get back to it when I have more time.. I’m still solving a few issues like the battery box, where to place the controller, and where to route the thick QS phase wires. I’ll make a post about it soon.
I’ve been looking all over RUclips for a 72v brushless hub razor mx650 with no luck what so ever, is there a possibility to see you build one?
Hmm this is probably because there is very limited space for a decent battery on this frame. I actually don't recommend going over 30 MPH on this scooter anyway since no suspension. It gets sketchy over 25
@@PatOutdoors would a dual 36v brushless hub be possible in a Razor MX650?
Can you put smaller 48v watt controller and smaller battery work with the 48v 500watt hub motor I want the scooter to look stock exception of the hub motor
Yes you can, just gotta find the right size. I just wanted to use what I already had. Also wanted to have a big enough battery for more range
Hi Pat I am in need of replacing 3 wires on my controller Blue Yellow and Green I want to upgrade to 3mm guage. Where can I purchase?
Thank you.
me again, do you have a video on how to change sprockets on vevor sets? i just bought myself a 48v 2000w set for my mx350
What do you mean by vevor sets? Like the tiny front sprocket on the my1020 motor? Yeah, I’ve done it in (4) previous videos. I haven’t done a sprocket upgrade for a rear sprocket though
The nut on the motor shaft is reverse-threaded. counter-clockwise to tighten, clockwise to loosen. 10mm wrench to hood the shaft in place, 12mm wrench for the lock nut.
@@PatOutdoors i just need to change the stock 350 sprocket to the new vevor motor
@@rod8652 Don't think that'll fit. You'll need this type of front sprocket for a vevor MY1020 to work with a 25H chain: amzn.to/43VwLSS
Hey man great work but what would you charge to modify a razor scooter or something like that ?
Are you in the northern VA area? It's quite expensive to ship these scooters back and forth.. It really depends what kind of performance you are looking for. Some 72V batteries alone can cost north of $900, while you can get simple 48V batteries for $400. But then you have to consider the motor / controller / throttle / time to strip the bike down and modify it to fit the new stuff. Short answer is.. it really depends what you need and what model of Razor it is.
What speed would the 48v be if I just had that same wattage motor?
@PatOutdoors I just realized you said you were in the Virginia area and I'm in the lower tx area so I don't think I could afford that but thank you for ur time.
@@prestonbaecker1993 Well I haven't done a top speed test yet, but it would just be about 9% slower than the speed of a 52V set up
would a 36v battery be enough to push the this 500w motor since i have a spare one
It was originally meant for a 36v battery, so yes. But you must have a matching 36v controller
@@PatOutdoors only issue I’m having now would be to get brakes on it
Nice video working on making one of these for myself
also the video quality is kinda poor for some reason
It's still loading.. First hour is SD, then hopefully HD next hour, then 4K loads later. Come back when 4K uploads lol
@@PatOutdoors ok thank you! love your vids
Got me a 2000watt 60v for mine on its way stayed with motor and chain simply because there's no caliper mount on my e300.... The razor rx200 has disc brake...... I think I may have just found you a stopping issue
I’m fabricating a bracket right now
@@PatOutdoors...... Fker hahaha Ile be sticking with the drum till it catches fire or I crash
😂😂 not right frame
Yeah.. we’ll it’s what was donated to me to modify so I’m rolling with it!
DISC MOUNT!!... needs a rx200 frame
😂😂 why?? Expand your horizons!! I have a scooters that will smoke dirtbikes, and I built them myself.
