  • Been wanting to do a stand-up scooter build, just to change things up from my usual Razor MX650 / MX500 projects. Luckily I got a generous donation from @Flex-E-Moto (Jacson Crider) so I can start another build for y'all. In this video, we are taking my hub motor-converted E325 scooter for its first ride. Justin just has to wrap up my MTB Rear disc brake conversion by welding my bracket onto the frame first. Also got to ride his brand new KLX300SM!
    Everything used on this project (So Far):
    . Razor E325 24V Electric Scooter: amzn.to/44zyZbR
    . Razor E300 (Same Thing): amzn.to/46XBCpt
    . 10" 48V 500W Hub Motor w/Tire: ebay.us/6PdF4i
    . 48V 1800W Brushless Controller: ebay.us/tdPmDE
    . Twist Throttle w/Key Lock: amzn.to/3KknCN0
    . CYCPLUS GPS Speedometer: amzn.to/44GY3O7
    . *NEED WELDING* MTB Mechanical Disc Brake: amzn.to/3q443Sa
    . Skateboard Grip Tape: amzn.to/43PshNR
    . Super Bright LED Handlebar Light: amzn.to/44O3MSc
    . 52V 20AH 50A Lithium Battery w/USB (One I Used): amzn.to/44L9MeI
    . 52V 20AH 50A (Alternative Option): amzn.to/3OA6rt9

    I'm wanting to change out my vevor controller on my 48v mx650 for a Kelly controller. Then possibly buy a second battery and run a dual 48v 30ah system at 100a. Super excited to see what the future has in store for your scoot! Keep up the great work as always!

      That would be a serious initial burst of torque at a twist of the throttle.. do it already!

    can you show us a picture of the welded caliper? I'm curious of how much space is needed.

    Would like to know if there's an update to this project. Nice touch using the space from the old motor for all the wiring.

      There certainly can be an update on this project, as soon as I’m done with my current razor go kart build I’m redoing this one. Already have a second hub motor for the front and planning out how I’m gonna add suspension to it. Just stay tuned!

      Super excited with this one!!! Love my E 3 hundy, but no suspension is rough!! Right now getting 22 on 36v with 800w controller. Plan on going hub very very soon. Just did my first hub build on a 26" walmart MTB and fell in love with the smoothness and lack of noise.

    Add slime in the tubes to prevent a flat. It helps a lot.

    Ahhhh man!
    Just the video I've been looking for.
    Just got an old bladez xtr with two lead batteries, small chain driven electric motor.
    How's your scooter doing?
    Anymore upgrades? Did you like the speed or did you modify it to go even faster?
    Thanks for the vids..
    Instead of the 500w motor that size, is there a stronger hub motor to allow me speed?
    Again. Thanks for the vids.

      This scooter is sketchy going faster than 25 MPH to be honest, just because of the lack of suspension. I also made the mistake of doing a twist grip rather than a thumb throttle so I’m making some changes to this set up. Frame size is the limitation for putting in larger hub motors, but I mainly chose these since they are less than $90/wheel/tire. I purchased a second same hub motor and controller so I can run AWD set up. Will post about the build more soon, just too many projects right now!

      @@PatOutdoors are you going to add forks with suspension?
      Ya, I think my tires are the same size as yours. It would easily fit my scooter.
      I was also thinking of getting a seat kit that has a suspension poll. The rear-end is rigid.
      But I think having forks with suspension and the seat having suspension should be good enough?
      Want to see how your dual motor scooter build will perform.
      Like I said, I got this bladez xtr scooter and it's all original. Lead batteries, small chain driven electric motor.
      As for the throttle, it's a squeeze throttle (like a brake lever). I think I'll just keep that setup.
      Looking forward to your upgrades man.

    Damn, I have been looking at e300 builds. Nevermind now. Need suspension.

    • @PatOutdoors
      @PatOutdoors  11 месяцев назад

      It has its downsides unfortunately. I’m still converting this one to dual. It or though. I just don’t suggest going 30 mph on a non suspension scooter

  • @bdrgarage7039

    I would just run 60v at it. I have a brushed currie 24v 500w on a big tire E300, runs 23mph flat out, 26-27 down hill. Has a Fast scooters 36v 1000w controller and lithium battery.

    so i just got my mx350 working, battery hooked up, motor mounted etc. i have the same throttle but it’s super sensitive and it is just a torque machine. do u know any sprockets that give less torque? it would be helpful

    • @PatOutdoors
      @PatOutdoors  Год назад

      If you go larger front sprocket, it slightly reduces torque, but increases top speed even more.. I never did an MY1020 kit for my MX350 when I had one because the wheelbase is so short that it would lift the front end too easily. What you really want is to upgrade the Controller to a Kelly KVD so the throttle input is more modular (controllable.)

    • @rod8652
      @rod8652 Год назад

      @@PatOutdoorsi’ve been experiencing that wheelbase so that’s why i am extending the rear frame. if u can, may you recommend me some sprockets? thanks

      I have a few people who are willing to pay for a completed build that they can then customize after the initial set up of the bike you build I have donor bikes if need be and I’d get the parts needed to get the first bike done by you for the example bike build

      @@PatOutdoors nothing, great bike just underpowered compared to the price. In my opinion. I have rode that bike about 50 miles. Compared to even a Yamaha 250SM it is underpowered. That goes for the Honda 300 as well. The Yamaha 250SM is actually faster for the money. When I say faster, I mean not get run the hell over on the freeway at 65mph lol.
