OMG! I love mine! I’m 68 years old, female. I never had any experience on motorcycles, skateboards, or anything other than a bicycle. Last year I bought my sons Segway electric scooters, they work in LA and park far away. In return, my boys bought me my UberScoot because it can be ridden in dirt! Where I live, a lot of dirt roads! Great shocks, knobby tires. It goes up and over freeway overpass, no loss of power. Weight is 125 lbs, mainly because of 4 lead batteries, swap for lithium batteries and go faster and farther! I can go about 20 miles before recharging. Shipping speed is 15mph, but disconnect the gray wire, 30mph. I ride with the seat, guy in video needs to tighten the under neath bolt to tighten seat. I ride everywhere! It really is a good scooter! 1 thing you really need to remember, fully charged, gray wire disconnected, you really need to start off slow and lean forward toward the handlebars. My youngest son, 25, wanted to see how fast he could go from stop. He hit the gas, front end was off the ground, and my son was laying on the ground. Lol. It has never happened to me, thank goodness. Lol. I love my UberScoot!!!
I’m happy to hear you let your son try it and is ok, after the torque was to much at first.. I’d like to know how do you find going up hills. 1, does it go very slow and waist the battery quickly. 2, it goes at a fare speed the battery is handling it, it’s only one long hill and hats it after doing what needs to be done at the hill top. Going down the hill and 7 km flat ground - know problem. 3. This scooter does not perform will going up hill / it’s only good on flat ground??

I've been thinking about purchasing a scooter to help me get to the grocery store, so I really appreciate these demonstrative videos on RUclips. Your videos help many people, just so you know that. Thank you for your work.
@Charlie Good Morning Charlie and thank you for writing. I am now living the van life, which began in February, was able to get a great job in March and have been working since that time. How are you doing?
I knew a criminal once who was "sketched out" from a witness's description, but he still got away. You were sketched but also not sketched out many times during that 10 minutes, so you must have got away, too . :) Thanks for the review. It was good.
I bought the same scooter, and there's some disadvantages, sure. I was getting maybe 17 miles on a full charge and approximately the same speed as "The Inja" here, recorded. I then swapped out for the lithium battery, which was over $400. As a result, I now get approx. 30 miles on a full charge, and the max speed is up to 31 mph on a flat surface. I totally agree with the feel of riding it, I use the word "squirreliness", and it is, it's not a real secure feeling by any means. You never want to take a hand off the handlebar while riding, and to hit a bump at high speed.. you just best be prepared before you hit one, for it'd be so easy to crash if it was,... say, a small pothole, even. That would liikely be the end of both you AND the scooter, were that to happen. The front fork/handlebars "stem" if you were to ever crash, I fear, will bend like a pretzel, maybe even snap in two; it's just that weak. Since it's sit down, I've had thoughts of maybe cutting that front stem in half, reinforcing it even, maybe, and then use it only as a sit-down scooter, (which I pretty much do anyway), with the handlebars at half the height, I think this would give it much greater stability overall, plus speed it up slightly. Another possibility for speed increase - I watched another video, (Here on You Tube), on the scooter where the guy purchased a like "one chain-link smaller" rear-sprocket that can be used, which gives another 5 mph or so speed boost..
Try getting a steering damper. I have one on my uberscoot 70x gas scooter. I also own this same blue one. The steering damper makes a difference and it's adjustable.
I got to say, the electric cafe bike was still some of my favourite to watch. Seeing you build it up to something awesome. Still waiting for that burnout video.
I bought the exact same scooter three years ago. I absolutely love it. I have not had any problems with it. The power is really something. It will take you up an incline with no problem. If you gun it on turbo mode, you will flip yourself backwards off the scooter. The wheels are 11" knobby tires. The batteries that came with it died a couple of weeks ago. They lasted three years. They were those cheap Chinese batteries. A lithium conversion is a bit pricey maybe in the future I might swap batteries to lithium. I can get just over 20 miles on the charged batteries. I even bought a little trailer so when I go to the store I can put what ever I buy in the trailer and take it home. It is a bit heavy which is more than likely why the batteries don't last as long. It does take a little getting used to when you drive it. I don't think it was built to just go fast. I believe it was built to give the rider a solid platform with power for your Sunday rides or quick grocery store, coffee shop rides. If you don't like electric, Uberscoot also makes a gas engine in two versions. One has a 60.3 cc gas engine with a two speed transmission. The other one is a 50cc engine. Uberscoot is now owned by Moto
I've been riding these kinda scooters for a while now. I've learned that getting the highest quality is the best way to go. Had this exact scooter. Thing breaks down fast and has countless problems. Just a heads up. And parts are hard to get.
I keep seeing people saying parts are hard to get. Exactly what parts do you need? Other than brake pads the parts on these seem to be the generic cheap parts you find all over alibaba and bangood. I can get an entire drive train for one of these for just over 200 with the 48v motor controller, brake disks, calipers, hand controls, 1000 watt motor, wheels + tires, basically everything but the battery. As soon as I saw the throttle/cluster I knew exactly what kind of generic parts were on it. If you are looking for a listing for parts specific to this scooter you will find none cause there aren't any parts made specifically for this scooter.
@@jameshathaway5117 I'm way beyond these now. If you're talking about alibaba, of course. Even made vids on this exact scooter. I'm talking about locally. And not places like ebay or Walmart. Small scooter stores here like big toys usa, ewheels, etc. Anyway, that was ages ago. Most are on dual motor scooters now, even cheap alibaba versions.
I’d like you to just TRY a decent electric scooter, say, a Dualtron Ultra or Thunder. I own a couple of NanRobot scooters (somewhat inferior build quality, but 1/2 the price of Dualtron), and I’m 68 years old. I use my X-4 for groceries and local tasks (48v, 10.5 Ah) It tops out around 22ish mph with around 18 miles of range and weighs 30 lbs. I use my D5+2.0 for trips to work and longer journeys (including group rides). It tops around 40 mph and hits around 35-40 miles of range. 52v, 23 Ah. 65 lbs. both are LI powered
@@aevoguitars2576 go for the 3.0 instead of the 2.0, it has entirely new suspension and includes hydraulic brakes. It carries the same suspension as a D6
I have the exact same scooter. Bought it a couple years ago. Absolutely love it. It took a couple rides to get used to it but now it feels really safe and stable. I typically ride it standing up with my legs up against the seat for added stability. Every time I ride it to the corner store multiple people will come up to me and comment on it and or ask questions.
@@TheGreatest1974 I'm in the UK and currently have a 28mph Kugoo e scooter. I haven't been hassled by police at all but many people in my area have had them confiscated and repeat offenders get fines/points. Personally I think it's just a matter of using them safely and respectfully. I don't use the roads when there are cars around, and any time there's pedestrians on the path I just slow down to their pace until I can pass, or stop until they pass me. I don't go crazy speeds near people either, only when it's open and clear ahead of me
I own one of these scooters. The reason it feels squirrelly is because of the rake of the handlebars compared to the tire. If you look at most motorcycles the wheelsets out front much further. This gives you stability. This thing you scared from almost directly on top of the tire.
I modified a razor e300 with a bigger 750 watt motor than the standard 350 watt motor, and a bigger 1000watt 36v controller, a proportional throttle, and an 80 tooth sprocket in the rear, along with 3, 12ah 12v batteries, giving me about 30 miles of range with 50% throttle. And it pops wheelies at half throttle and will pull a lot of weight, goes about 25 mph. Total build cost $300. Much better for the price than buying something like what you have.
FYI if you let a little air out of the front tire it will get rid of the twitchiness. I had a turbo elite 800 (exact same design) and thought maybe I could gain some speed if I overinflated the tires but it made the handling very twichy and dangerous, almost unrideable.
I love mine. You have to get use to it. His must not be tightened correctly. I keep mine in the back seat of my car because I always have to park far away at night. And I changed the battery to make it lighter and go further. Ordered mine from Walmart.
For anyone in the UK, it's the exact same as Chaos branded scooters. If you change out the 4x12v lead acid batteries for a single 48v Lithium battery, you'll get more of a punch and much better range. It will be a lot lighter too and easier to arrange the wires inside due to extra space :)
Side note: li-ion batteries also have their own BMS, meaning you don't need the fuses for the battery either. It's already regulated to the controller as long as it's still a 48v li-ion battery and not bigger :)
@@rasyay the frame itself isn't that heavy from these scooters. A lot of the weight comes from having 4 lead acid batteries. It's a lot more effective to just swap the batteries for a li-ion battery instead
Its why Pedal assist e bikes more usefull because you have control on not pushing the motor on full speed of a mile radius as the motor will cut off when it is overheating. With Pedal assist you actually helping the motor do its job and not overheat it too soon and often.
I used to have the 800 watt version of this thing, it was the same thing but a rebrand from this shop in South Carolina. They’re a ton of fun but not built for longevity. Just keep them out of the cold and they should be fine
The reviews are fun and you get a lot of good toys to play with and mod. When I drove the 06 Charger RT my lil sister sold me cheap I was having a blast driving it home. It's surprisingly quick for such a heavy pig. It's faster than anything I've ever owned before and makes me want to drop a 5.7 hemi in my Dart, it would be scary with 1k less weight very quick compared to what it was. Of course they get awful mpg so I've been trying to be nice and see how high I can get the average in town. Turning off the traction control though is great fun and it seems to have a posi rear, even better...
Wow, just 2yrs ago & this was the fastest scooter on Amazon! They've become so much more powerful & lighter since. In 2 more years we'll be seeing 200km/h e-scooters.
I have a Razor eco smart metro scooter...16" wheels, goes about 18 mph, and up to 12 mile range on one charge. A lot less "sketchy" than this one... BTW I paid $400 for it 2 1/2 yrs ago...LOVE IT!A
From watching many, many videos about the topic. My conclusion is that the best, safe upgrade you can do to these scooters are upgrade the standard lead acid batteries to higher voltage lithium ion batteries for an extra 5-8mhp and 10-15miles. A battery for this scooter in the uk costs £95 so for 4 of these will cost just under £400. I think if you have the money and see yourself keeping the scooter long term then this is a good investment but otherwise then dont bother and just make sure after every ride you stick it straight back on charge. Also seen "fast chargers" for these that are supposed to charge lithium ion batteries but have not yet tested it as i dont want to risk blowing it up. Ride safe yall, you could kill yourself or someone else going 30miles an hour so take care.
SLA batteries don't last for many recharging cycles and are just too dang heavy. I had a pair of 12 volt ones on a inexpensive ebike kit and they lasted for around 6 months time perhaps 80 or 90 cycles that was it. I replaced them with a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery pack and they lasted me for 5 years probably around 1,500 cycles
I have the same scooter, I replaced the lead battery for a 48v 35ah lithium, top speed about 30-33mph. Longest test ride on new battery was 14 miles, and I was at about 70% battery life.
The Uber is an old tech chain-drive scooter but still a lot of fun. The low $800. cost is due to the cheap lead-acid batteries. My Super Scooter 1500 goes about 40mph (if I use the original speed rear sprocket) and it came with a 48v 20Ah LiFePo4 battery, which is amazing and goes forever. But mine also cost $1500 in 2016. With the low-tech steering geometry these seated foldables have, you honestly don't wanna go over 40mph. That's plenty fast!
Yes Dualtron scooters are the best scooters on the market and are the better buy if you can afford them...the cheapest scooter in their stable I think is over 2000 bucks .. if you are on a budget then I think this scooter is pretty badass considering it’s a sub 1000 buck beast scooter
Dude this is the stuff I want to do for a living. Man I am so jealous.. that scooter is sick. Li-ion upgrade time!! You should up it to 60v I just bumped one I got for 20 bucks from 24v to 36v.....speed wobbles will definitely wake you up. Yes build build build. I am going to build something.
@@d_ward4871 i have opened my 24v controller and checked the voltages of capacitors. it is 50v for both capacitors since 36v lithium battery has max voltage of 42v, atleast capacitors wont blow up, I think.
It’s old technology, that design was the shit back in the day. I’m sure with a little tinkering he could probably upgrade it if he so chooses. But I’m sure with those type of bikes and his house $800 is probably a drop in the bucket, he needs to hop on Alibaba and get one of those 80 mile an hour demon scooters
Not finding the scooter review boring, found it interesting. Thing im wondering though, would you get more range if you swapped the lead acid batteries with 6 volt lithium Deep Cell batteries would you get more range and top speed?
I bought one of these scooters a couple of years ago and I ended up modding it to 1800 watts and gearing it up and putting lithium batteries. These scooters are very customizable! I ended up with a scooter that had a top speed of 43 mph and had a range of about 75 miles on a full charge. Oh and I even put custom cooling in it! Lol I still have it in my collection
@hakan mavruk sounds like you just need to change the gear ratio. You want a bigger gear on the motor and a smaller gear on the back rim. You will have to figure out how much torque you want because a bigger rear gear will give you less torque but a higher top speed. Changing the motor sprocket should not affect the torque. Also I'm not sure what battery you have in there, but if it's not a lithium battery you definitely want to upgrade to a lithium, as it will give you faster speed and torque. There is also a lot of other upgrades you can do with these scooters I'm posting a video on my page if you want to check it out.
I have 1! I'm a 70 yr old female. Ii live in a small Ca desert town. Estimate speed, 15, I disconnected the gray wire, 30mph! About 15mile distance. Takes about 8 hr to fully charge I ride mine all over town, with helmet. Weight is approx 125. lbs. Love it so much, I bought 175cc scooter to go farther and faster! Lol. But, just in town, I ride. my UberScoot. This guy needs to adjust his handlebars. I ride mine in dirt, great shocks & nobby tires! Uphill, down. Dirt, Paved. Love it!
I made one of these go 50mph and what I noticed did that the front suspension even when you tighten everything up there a lot of play but Atleast you don’t feel it at speed it’s really only on Tighter turns and off roads
I bought one when I was 10 because my parents would not let me get a dirtbike but I loved it. Its perfect for messing around on especially for on road trips.
I have seen that high speed scooters have a damper that attaches to the steering which stops wheel wobble/jitter, and helps with things like going over bumps that could jolt the steering and make it twitch out. Also help with steering around corners at speed. Looking forward to seeing those ancient lead acids upgraded. Will have crazy range!
Not all, there's racings ones designed with no front suspension. Price point is upper 4 and lower 5 figures. Look up Rion RE90. 80 mph scooter with NO damper and no shake
@@josephgermain2003 ye but that one has a very stiff steering and features to allow it to go extremely fast without any wobble, I'm really considering a steering damper for my 10+ but the price is too goddamn high
So jealous I have no idea how you afford to buy all this stuff. Still more power to ya as I also enjoy watching you play with it all. OK I'm going to ask even though I don't expect this to be your area of expertise. Been watching videos telling me theoptimal pedaling position based on my leg having only a slight bend in it at the pedals lowest position. However I have a mini bike and just saw a counter video where he says that's advice doesn't fit a mini as stretching out the seat pole and handle bars to far unbalance the bike and cause pain in the back and arms. Do you have any suggestions?
These are called by so many different names. I think mine was a Razor or something. It was real crap. The wobble comes from every pivot in the front forks being so badly made they dont even hold together properly. There is a 72 volt lithium ion version as well. I sold mine after less than a week and got a budget electric motorbike. Both on my channel somewhere from earlier in the year.
@@rpcoleman84 the zero 11x is a cheap generic Chinese scooter, that's why it's sold under many different names everywhere. Take that money and get a Weped, the pinnacle of electric scooters right now
I’ve got the velocifero 2000 watt does about 30-35mph google it, It sounds similar to the one your riding, loud and kind of noisy. Also very stylish too, I often get a lot of attention when riding it
How long after you bought it, did it take for you to have your first accident? I'm just asking because I'm looking at buying one myself, once they become legal in the UK. I want to know how safe they are.
Better off getting the Joyor at around $500. At least it has good range. I used to have this same uberscoot and I hated how long it took to charge plus it's heavier than a damn 26inch ebike because of those lead acid batteries. Its fast at first but then after one bar drops that's when the acceleration goes WAY down hill.
I've had the exact scooter but the gas model, the suspension is excellent but those wheels are not great for balance at all (I rode for over 40 miles all day) and the springs in the seat as well as the dual suspension don't mix well. The electric version is faster than the gas but the range is really bad on that electric version.
I bought the 36 volt thousand watt version for only $400 then upgraded the battery and throttle control to 48V. Original top speed was 24mph, now it's doing 32mph. Which is perfect for this vehicle. I'm about 200lbs. A lighter Rider will definitely break 35mph.
I have the 48v 1600w version and I upgraded it to 60v 20ah lithium batteries and a 60v 3000w controller. The motor could handle it but it got hot after 8 miles so I swapped the motor for a stronger one and changed the gearing to 12t on the motor and 38t on the rear and me at 140lbs can get up to 55mph on mine easily. They're super easy to upgrade and can be super reliable especially with how easy it is to find parts
I've always been curious about those scooters but I would definitely upgrade the motor to the 72v 3000w kit and a lithium or LIPO pack..... And I'd probably change the seat and rails so the seat didn't move as well.
You would be better off buying a 72v wped. Or wolf king vs putting 2-3k into a cheap junk body. Could even just buy a clone 60v (which is what you want 48-60 not 72 thats for racing)
this scooter modified is the most solid and reliable machine. i bought a APPollo scooter 2400W racing scooter and broke in 2 weeks this uberscoot on this video i have it for 3 years and going strong !
i would replace those heavy lead batteries with good li ion batteries... i wonder how much range and how many cels in that huge space... try that out... i like those scooter but are superhavy for me
Would you ride one of the new 80 mph scooters? They are supposed to be solid but squirrelly steering isn't cool. I don't think that the fast scooters I've seen exhibit high speed wobble.
@@drewbender8609 Not too much. make sure it stays on the charger when not in use, and keep air in the tires - it's probably a good idea to check for any bolts that may have shaken loose every few rides as well but for me that hasn't been an issue. the chain and disk brakes require a little oiling after some months so that they don't squeak
@@ahf5471 I still have this scooter but it is no longer in working condition because of electric motor failure due partially to my own neglect and crazy weather. I had bought a new scooter and put this one in a tent shelter for the winter, and during a storm the shelter roof was destroyed which allowed snow to get in. Once the snow melted the electric motor ceased to function but the battery and everything else is still good. I do not use this scooter anymore as I have since upgraded to a more light weight and faster scooter - just thought I put it out there this scooter is decent for short rides around town, but it's heavy and the battery is SLA so battery lifespan and efficiency isn't very good. main lesson, make sure to keep your scooter in a secure area and it will last a lot longer. sometimes nature doesn't care tho. lol
I have the lithium battery upgrade on its way. It's a wicked scooter. Crazy torque. Hits 30mph. And not to mention the ability to hit trails. Also I recommend a steering damper. I prefer to ride without the seat on that one.
That scooter looks like it could be fun with a couple upgrades. Switch out those let a support some lithium ions and should a nice seat. Should be solid. Of course you know all of this LOL. Cheers have a good one.
I know this was a long time ago now but these are actually good scooters. Easy to swap out the motor, easy to swap out the battery, easy to upgrade, cheap to buy. That one you bought was expensive, the suspension needs upgrading as it's way too soft. As for it cutting out that could be to do with the stand switch, the stand switch often gets loose and can cause problems, but it's an easy fix. At the right price these are very good scooters, at the wrong price ie what you paid then no.
We got one a few weeks ago and I agree 100% about the seat. My 13 year old got up to 38 mph according to whatever app he was using. I got up 29 (I weigh 190lbs . i'm too fat I guess lol) I also agree about the battery life, but we don't go too far so not a problem,. It is HEAVY! I think it would be better priced at $500 but all in all it's a lot of fun so far. Good vid too.
There is no way you got 38mph. I have an upgraded version of this scooter, Mototec 2000w 48v with lithium 20ah battery swap and can only hit 36mph. Which is 7mph faster than the lead acid. You'll only ever get faster than 36mph if you upgrade to a larger motor and higher voltage. 38mph... was probably in KPH mode on his app, which would be about 23-24mph. Which is appropriate.
I'm digging the review videos. They are all interesting and you put your unique sense of humor and positivity into all of them. That's what makes it fun watch. Even the way you handle the haters in the comment section. It's funny.
I like the way you have chunky tyres suspension I assume you are familiar with the ones with the solid wheels I saw a kid hit a pebble go over the handlebars and his top and bottom teeth hit hit the curb looking that movie
I got the same scooter for around 5 years now and I upgraded the whole system. The first thing I did was getting rid of the acid batteries and replace them with a lithium battery and it's much lighter than having 4 acid batteries, I took off the whole motor, chain and wheels, that system makes a lot of noise, now I installed a 3000 watts HUB motor (tubeless tires) and I also upgraded the wheels size from 10-inch wheels to 11 inches wheels and tubeless. now runs very smooth, no noisy chain and very powerful as well. (Maybe in the future I might be upgrading to DUAL motor- just adding another hub for the front wheel) I upgraded the scooter because that model is really strong and is made to last, new scooters now days are not as strong as this framework

Would it have to be the rear sprocket? Smaller more top speed, larger more tork? Same for front sprocket?
Try getting a steering damper. I have one on my uberscoot 70x gas scooter. I also own this same blue one. The steering damper makes a difference and it's adjustable.
The neck pole and handlebar assembly looks too thin for such a heavy base.
It's pretty solid.
I got to say, the electric cafe bike was still some of my favourite to watch. Seeing you build it up to something awesome. Still waiting for that burnout video.

I had a scooter with that style chasis years ago. X-Treme brand, only 500 watts but it handled off-road like a champ.
I want one such scooter
What is the cost
The best ones are like $5000. You can get a 300cc petrol bike that hits 60mph and 100mpg for that much.
Not my thing but you REALLY make it very entertaining! Great video man!! Cheers
52v, 23 Ah. 65 lbs. both are LI powered
i have a d6 i got in feb and ive put just under 1k miles on it, it tops out at 43 mph and it hasn't let me down yet. its a hill climbing monster
He'll kill himself on a Dualtron LOL

I have the exact same scooter. Bought it a couple years ago. Absolutely love it. It took a couple rides to get used to it but now it feels really safe and stable. I typically ride it standing up with my legs up against the seat for added stability. Every time I ride it to the corner store multiple people will come up to me and comment on it and or ask questions.

@@jonludwig are you in the uk? Do you get any bother from the police? Or have you not met any yet?👍
@@TheGreatest1974 I am in the USA. No police contact so far. 🤞
Yes that is what is called castor angle.
That weight is a problem
@@rasyay the frame itself isn't that heavy from these scooters. A lot of the weight comes from having 4 lead acid batteries. It's a lot more effective to just swap the batteries for a li-ion battery instead
Its why Pedal assist e bikes more usefull because you have control on not pushing the motor on full speed of a mile radius as the motor will cut off when it is overheating. With Pedal assist you actually helping the motor do its job and not overheat it too soon and often.

Time to swap them nasty lead batteries
For real when he said lead I puked
SLA batteries don't last for many recharging cycles and are just too dang heavy.
I had a pair of 12 volt ones on a inexpensive ebike kit and they lasted for around 6 months time perhaps 80 or 90 cycles that was it.
I replaced them with a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery pack and they lasted me for 5 years probably around 1,500 cycles
@the Ghöst literally tho
Oh frick
How you do dat?
I have the same scooter, I replaced the lead battery for a 48v 35ah lithium, top speed about 30-33mph. Longest test ride on new battery was 14 miles, and I was at about 70% battery life.
mine is 40 miles....
How much was the battery
Can you ride two people on it?
It's the swiveling seat that probably makes it feel less stable . That and the small wheels . Looks like fun though !!
You should try dualtron escooters, they’re like one of the best build escooter with decent stats
Yes Dualtron scooters are the best scooters on the market and are the better buy if you can afford them...the cheapest scooter in their stable I think is over 2000 bucks .. if you are on a budget then I think this scooter is pretty badass considering it’s a sub 1000 buck beast scooter

It’s old technology, that design was the shit back in the day. I’m sure with a little tinkering he could probably upgrade it if he so chooses.

@@kas4520 yes it's not much expensive in that rate but you can still get this in a lesser amount .
Lol
I still have it in my collection
@hakan mavruk sounds like you just need to change the gear ratio. You want a bigger gear on the motor and a smaller gear on the back rim. You will have to figure out how much torque you want because a bigger rear gear will give you less torque but a higher top speed. Changing the motor sprocket should not affect the torque.
Also I'm not sure what battery you have in there, but if it's not a lithium battery you definitely want to upgrade to a lithium, as it will give you faster speed and torque. There is also a lot of other upgrades you can do with these scooters I'm posting a video on my page if you want to check it out.
