    You can weld the freewheel to the wheel since the inside of the wheel is steel.

    Another awesome content Pat. i will soon be doing the same controller upgrade on my Zooz 1200 Flex replacing the current Sabvoton controller. Im gonna start doing the upgrade soon after i get the only missing piece which is a 3 way mode switch. i prefer having an eco and normal mode on this bike. i already got the Fardriver ND72360 and all the parts i need and after i get everything installed, i might seek the help from Vee from Powerful Lithium to get it fine tuned and at the same time learn on how to tune this type of controllers. Great video tutorial👍👍

    Hey bud, glad you finally got this project powered up. We ordered RSF wheels new from Razor directly. I feel like the rear wheel is bent somewhere in the thread area and we haven't been riding that much. Either way, I would like to find a solution for wheels that doesn't cost $150 each. Let us know what you come up with. This bike doesn't have 100 miles on it yet and the wheels never come off the ground at all. I was told that the RSF wheels are fragile in some ways, but I didn't think they come apart like this. I can only recommend to you that you pull it all apart and get a visual on the problem. My freewheel is welded also. And we run 72v with a KR5V and nd72450.

    • @PatOutdoors
      @PatOutdoors  2 месяца назад

      How much power are you pushing with the KR5V?

    • @Epsonblade
      @Epsonblade 2 месяца назад

      @@PatOutdoors They say 8kw is the max... I haven't had to need to push it over 55mph thus far. With the gearing I have I should be able to top 63mph, I haven't gotten it up there yet. 250amp 72v amorge battery... I've seen 200a out of the battery on WOT pulls but again, haven't topped it out yet. IT felt like it had wayyy more to go.

  • @AdamOpheim
    @AdamOpheim 22 дня назад

    Bring it to any muffler shop and have them spot weld the freewheel itself. You don't weld it to the wheel. Takes 2 minutes. I do it on all my bikes. I've yet to have one fail and I run alot of power with a 210lb rider.

    • @PatOutdoors

    • @PatOutdoors
      @PatOutdoors  2 месяца назад

      I think most people in the comments are misunderstanding what happened. There are zero stripped bolts on the sprocket assembly, the inner threads of my welded freewheel are stripped so it now spins freely on the wheel hub itself

    • @PatOutdoors
      @PatOutdoors  2 месяца назад

      This freewheel is already welded. It's the threads that hold it to the wheel that's completely stripped :(

    • @zentechnician
      @zentechnician 2 месяца назад

      @@PatOutdoorsremove the axle, drill some holes, tap some threads, and put set screws in there. You will have to reach inside the hub to do the set screws. You'll have to sacrifice an Allen wrench and cut it real short so you can reach inside the hub.
      Or you could just weld it as suggested.
      I had way more power going to mine when I was only running one motor and it didn't tear up but I had the BMX freewheel inside an adapter version. Those clutch ones die instantly when you apply a few hundred amps. It probably helps not to have a ginormous rear sprocket like that. That thing is crazy big. Think of an old 10 speed bike, the lowest possible gear is the little one in front and the big one in the back. You'll be like a duck on the water cruising along, but under the water those little feet are kicking like crazy. You were going to run out of gear real fast. You basically created a situation where the controller had plenty of leverage to strip those threads out. Locttute red. Use it.

      @camilomora3580 2 месяца назад

    • @PatOutdoors
      @PatOutdoors  2 месяца назад

      Drill bigger holes to what exactly? There are no broken or stripped bolts. The inside threads of the freewheel where it spins onto the hub itself is what stripped out.

    • @wattleyracing
      @wattleyracing 2 месяца назад

      @@PatOutdoors I’ll have to see a few pics but the best way to describe it is, wherever the bolts are that go into the wheel need to be drilled a size bigger and rethreaded. Unless we’re talking about different parts. Can you post a pic on here of the damage? Like post a pic under its own title on your page? Or even post another video?

    • @wattleyracing
      @wattleyracing 2 месяца назад

      @@wattleyracing nothing wrong with the sprocket or the freewheel. The freewheel spins clockwise onto the threads on the hub of the wheel to tighten in place. The threads on the wheel hub is what stripped
