- So i have upgrade the motor in my modded Razor E300 heres how I did it.

I am very glad you posted the video. I am looking to upgrade my scooter too. I am pushing 48v on the stock motor and it's a blast. I found a good deal on this same 350w motor.
Question: Did the motor bracket have threaded holes? Did the screws used to install the motor go through the frame and then threaded into the motor?

Good question, yes the motor had a threaded set of hole I got some longer replacement bolts to go through my internal mudguard and then the frame then the motor. Remember this is a 350w 24v motor 18.6 amps is the limit before burn out
@@TheCaffeineRacer Thanks for the reply! I just rip on the scooter here and there in short rides. unfortunately laws in my area I cannot use it everywhere but I take it out for fun! Got super good deal on scooter and had a 48v and controller left over from my dune buggy modding. I will burn it out and the stock one has proved me well with lot of abuse so far, overall it will be worth the cheap fun when the smoke puffs out! Cheers! This is very helpful info

Hi. Great video! Think I have watched them all! I was wondering what would be the effect if you used a 350w or 500w speed controller instead of 800w with the same set. i.e 36v 2 batterys and 350w motor. Really appreciate all your hard work! Keep it up! Thanks
There will be no difference the motor will pull a max of 350w so the controller can manage upto an 800w pull. Does that make sense. It doesn't improve motor performance. Just gave me room to upgrade to a 350w and now a 500w and not have to change the controller will do a video soon on 500w set up
@@TheCaffeineRacer I see! I thought it might be because of the overvolting, meaning the motor could pull more watts. Oh well just ordered the 800w! Although the thought of going 20 - 25mph on one scares me! 🤣 Look forward to the new videos and thanks for such a quick response!

No its all internal into the original charging port check the build video. I use a 42v charger for the 36v setup works a charm

Since your overvolting your motor does it heat up if you go on full throttle for a long period of time ?
Did you ever manage to sort the issue with the motor being a tad longer, as in the chain rubbing on the side of the roller on the tensioner, just seen mine needs tweeking a little
I never found it to be much of a problem, i have removed the 350w motor now using a 500w instead put on a new chain today as it was stretched. Where the tentioner is the top and bottom chain were rubbing now there is a nice gap. will have to do another video in the next week.
@@TheCaffeineRacer arh cool, how come you went 500watt again, have u added a 3rd battery, i have just been out after tea and checked it again, i tightened the tensioner to tight, back it off and seems fine now. 👍
@@stevenwilly23 the 500w I have is slower but has more torque and can take more amps. Doesn't get hot it's all round better for me and its a direct fit. Handles the 3 batteries too with out getting hot 🔥 :)
Have you ever thought of adding a seet.
Nope not for 26mph very uncomfortable and I like to be able to adjust my body weight position as I ride 500w video coming this week
Hi there mate I’ve been doing a few modifications on my e300 didn’t over volt it i just purchased a 500 W brushed speed controller and used to12 V 10 amp hour batteries but the motor has has stopped working took it apart and one of the magnets have cracked in Side just wondering what motor I can put in without any modification to the original motor bracket

How come you use a 42volt charger on a 36volt set up, is there a reason

Yes good question there is a reason. The battery packs are made up of ten cells call 18650's these have a max voltage of 4.2v each the so 10x 4.2 gives you at full charge 42v. As you ride they will drain that generally the voltage shows 36 to 37v will motor pull and the will drain to about 32v then the scooter will need a good charge. Performance will be low at that point. so the range of the charger will be 36 to 42v. most will state 36v charger but on the back it will have the range showing 42v.

It's a piece of old clear packing plastic I recycled from a child's toy packaging. Zero cost
How did you connect the circuit breaker?
I didn't because it can't handle the current draw it was constantly triggering. So I bypassed it.
Will a 36 volt controller and throttle 800 w work with the 24 v motor?
Yep it certainly does the control can handle up to an 800w motor. It's the voltage that has to match the controller so 36v battery 36v controller. So I am over volting the motor and getting more rpm does 24mph happily now :) had 25mph but I guess you will get speed gains on certain routes.
I am wondering if the motor can take the amps of a third battery pack now for more range

@@albread no there will be a limit. If your battery puts too many amps through the motor it will burn out but my set up is within the tolerance for the motor. 18.6amps is the motors limit

Would motor not fit on the top?
No the angle of the attachment ears didn't quite give enough clearance to lift up and on top of the frame. But the frame is not that thick so the clearance difference is minimal. works like a charm. You will need some longer bolts for mounting the motor though. if there is any that you would like to see i am happy to make more videos on it.

Timsalsanights aka The Caffeine Racer in stead of using 2 of the 36v 4ah battery. I thought about buying I of the 36 v batteries with 7ah. Do you think that would work?
@@albread I wouldn't like to say I dont know what the max output of that battery would be might fry the motor you will have to research it. I can only speak for my own experience
