      While they are 36V, what sort of ride duration could you get from a charge? Suppose you could use 2 in series or parallel for 36V output but twice the amount of juice. Plus would these with the right Motor give you 30mph top speeds??

      Thanks for the feedback. So what Battery and Motor combination do you recommend? I've seen off the shelf EVO and MAF scooters that are rated at 36V 2000W output, for the 30mph top speed. So you dont recommend that? I think the Razor chassis is better as simple design so i assume lighter, which means a powerful electrical setup will shift it's weight easier.

      The chassis on the scooter is one of its best selling points for me. It's not too heavy but it's built like a tank so it's nice and safe. The wheels are big and chunky too which jz good. I got mine just to cruise around and get up a few hills, not for racing or speed or nything because it's just too dangerous I reckon

You will probably have 12v light outputs for head light and brake light. Throttle neg and POS and a signal wire (usually green) for the variable throttle. And a brake cut off to the motor wire.

      Running pace I would say. I'm upgrading it soon as these batteries are way too old and only last 15 minutes. Just need to save up $170 to buy a decent lithium battery

      I haven't got them yet, but will probably get hoverboard battery's. They are 36v, just will have to figure out how to wire two of them together for extra endurance and how it will all charge with a hoverboard charger.

    • @maxcooper2420

      outie555 yo charge with a hover bored charger you just have to un screw the old one and screw in the hover board charger

    Where do you plan to buy your 36 volt battery from?

    • @outie555two
      @outie555two  4 года назад +1

      eBay. I am after a 10ah lithium battery with BMS and charger. So far they are about $300 AUD. I have to measure the inside of the scooter to see if it will fit. 10ah are harder to come by so worst case I might go the 15 ah battery but it will need additional modification to make the battery bay bigger

      With lithium battery 36v and 350w motor and controller, top speed about 28km on flat ground. No idea about range as it's never gone flat on me, but estimate I could ride somewhere between 1 and 2 hours before it goes flat, in urban conditions.

    how many volts can the stock motor handle

    • @outie555two
      @outie555two  4 года назад

      It's made for 24V, but I'm hopefully going to be able to run it at 36V but it can heat up at full load at 36V, so it will depend on how heavy the rider is and how much is ridden at full throttle. Wouldn't go any higher than 36V.

    Didnt you have a 24 V controller in there to start with ? This whole video was an excercize in futility should just switch the motor out to 500 watt it will fit and give you 2xs the power to the.motor 41 $ on wild scoots

    • @outie555two
      @outie555two  5 лет назад +7

      Although you mean well with your comment, it does show that you may not have done much research into why I didn't use the stock 24 v controller. To save you some time googling and researching it yourself, the stock controller does not support a variable throttle. imagine if i did what you are suggesting and modded this scooter with a 500W motor without a variable controller. it would have two speed settings, off and on 100% full throttle. That would not be very safe, drain the battery very quickly, and 500W will exceed the power outputs for a legal ride for when I use the scooter. Go ahead and do what you suggested in your comment and feel free to prove me wrong with how delighted you will be with all that power all the time.

    I have a similar Scooter to the razor e300, I replaced the controller, motor for a 36v motor and replaced the acid batteries for the battery pack from the M365. I also changed the drum brake for a disc brake. I took it for a test drive and seemed to last longer and go a bit faster then the stock parts. check out my videos on my channel #pimpmyelectricscooter
